Chapter 13:- silent growth is better then loud progress.

I entered the room to see a table with a black ball on top then i looked at the side to see a glass like wall or wall like glass separating both of the rooms and in that room sat bunch of old people.
Then the intercom in the room starts up.
"Please may blackheart, place your hand on the talent testing ball for 10 seconds to let us examined your talent and talent rank."
I nodded slowly as I walked up to the black ball and placed my hand on it a second later I felt controlled amount of void energy start to enter my body.
I say to cellular adaptation in my mind.
"Remember our plan."
It didn't say anything but I noticed the flow of void energy deceased. The plan was simple cellular adaptation would deactivate void energy absorber and deceased my natural absorbing ability so my talent rank would come out low.
The ball started to glow and few seconds later it stopped when nearing the 6 second mark.
"Amount of void energy absorbed 56.89%, host." Cellular adaptation said.
So my talent rank would appear to them as D or something like that.
Shit I genius to hard without even trying.
Cellular adaptation didn't comment on my internal monolog this time. He he he i must be a real genius then. But enough about that. I lifted my hand at the 10 second mark not even a 0.001 second later.
Then soon the intercoms said my talent rank and talents.

When i heard her name I thought she was a normal citizen but then I saw her I felt something wrong with her then I noticed it shadows at the corner of my eyes seemed to deepen when she touched the talent testing ball. But they went to being normal few seconds later. I didn't have time to fully think about it as the intercom stated her talent rank and talent name.
Talent name:-
Survivor's body
Talent rank:- D.
Possible secondary weaker talent shadow control rank unknown. Seems to be weaker then the main talent body control of the examiner.
I froze in my seat one again. Two talents in one person and one of them was D rank and second one could possibly be rank E. A real genius almost on par with the false reality girl. I needed to look into her files but before that I needed to act professional because the first experience is the best experience.
"Miss may blackheart. You are allowed to leave the talent testing room so please wait in the examiners area for now. Soon there will be someone transferring you to somewhere more... proper for someone like you."
Said someone before anyone else could speak when i turned to look/glare who it was i instantly looked away because it was the overseer of this night watcher's headquarters in this city. Ho god when did he come here without me or anyone else noticing.
The girl named may blackheart nodded her head slightly as she left the talent testing room in a cool calm walk.
She felt weird like someone or something ancient was beneath that physical being like human.
Wait why did I think that about her. It feels like my darker side of emotions have acted up a little when I looked at her then i looked aside slightly to noticed no one seemed to be affected at least not outwardly.
Was I really interested in that girl that way or was something to do with her.

I walked towards the room where rest of the examiners were seated at as I saw few them talking one and other about their talent or talent rank but i didn't pay attention to them as i began to wonder why the talent testing ball had given different names then i knew of my talents was it because of lesser rank it should have been or something else entirely.
I noticed cellular adaptation hadn't comment on it so it seemed even it was confused for the reason.
"So got any theories for why it happened."
I asked it directly because I was too lazy to beat around the bush.
It took few seconds since it answered and it replied came when sat down on one of the benchs while no one else or only few people were sitting at.
"Possible reason the first one is the data base only had survivor's body and shadow control as the closest alike talents to me and shadow god domain and second reason might be the system might have found the closest talents alike to me and shadow god domain in that talent rank section. Either way the host needs to be careful since the reported talents are different from host's real talents such me and shadow god domain."
I nodded my head as I finally began to look around the room to search for someone in particular because I wanted to know more about them.
"The girl's name is lily and she is the girl who is getting the attention around those group of girls host. Also from what I have gained she seems to have a rank C talent rank with a powerful illusion type mental talent."
I looked towards where the cellular adaptation told me to look and the situation was as it said. Well it seems it will have lots of fun here if I am correct and knowing myself i am correct in most cases.
I calmly got up from my seat and walked towards the girl with clearly silent steps. Few notice it moved and even less bothered to continue looking at me because no one knew someone else talent unless told so most people would think I am a normal human or a H rank talent unnatural but how wrong would they be then.
I soon reached the girl as she was being overwhelmed with people trying talk with her.
"Wow, you have such a powerful talent."
"It only took two months for you to first mental star rank. You are a trye genius."
"You didn't even have resources there in the slums, right."
I overheard few of them trying to soften up to her by saying how great she was but it only made lily more uncomfortable i chosen that moment to say something.
"It must have been a pain to reach that point without any support."
I asked that to her as I silently appeared behind her. She seemed surprised but nodded quietly slightly shy. She was cute really cute.
"Host, seems to have taken a liking to her."
The screen said
"I used to be a player in my past life."
I said in my mind as i smiled warmly at the girl as she spock quietly.
"Yes, it was... quiet hard."
Few minutes later most had left after I told cellular adaptation to release bit of shadow god domain's aura. It was quite nice to have a scary aura factor.
Lily and i had gotten along nicely she seemed quite shy around most people but i am not most people.
I had wrapped my arm around her shoulders. While I smiled calmly. To anyone watching it would at most be two weirdly close friends talking with each other.
"So lily, what kind of stuff do you like to eat or are interested in the slums."
I asked her casually because I needed her to think of me as a friend. Not as an another examine.
"I like slightly honey candy and to read few books from tike to time."
Lily said as she shifted slightly under my arm around her shoulder. She was blushing. It was really cute. We continued to talk like that.
Soon the examiners were called to take the physical exam.
(Yeah, I got nothing for this chapter so i just wrote what i wanted also lily will be the first partner of MC... I think)
