Chapter 39 - Dream

Han was sleeping, lost in a world of dark dreams. In his dream, a voice whispered a chilling warning: "Taejoon should not be crowned unless Mako is separate from him." The voice echoed, sending shivers down Han's spine.

As the words lingered, gruesome scenes unfolded. The wall that separated the worlds began to crumble, unleashing chaos. Humans, vampires, and werewolves lay dead everywhere. Han saw himself and Taejoon among the lifeless bodies. Mako stood tall, a twisted smile on his face, reveling in the destruction.

The dream ended abruptly, leaving Han gasping for air. He sat up, sweat cling to his skin. The images still felt vivid, too real to ignore.

Han burst out of his house, his eyes scanning the surroundings with urgency. Satisfied he was alone, he vanished into the night, using his vampire speed.

He reappeared in the Werewolf Realm, at the old lady's place. The familiar scent of herbs and earth filled his lungs as he entered.

The old lady looked up, her eyes sharp with concern. "Han, what's wrong?"

Han quickly recounted his dream, the warning, and the visions of destruction. The old lady's expression grew grave.

"Act quickly, Han," she said, her voice low and urgent. "Mako's plans are further along than we thought. You need to get the poison out of your body. Now."

Han nod's

"Find a way to stop Mako, Han," the old lady said, her voice stern. "Or there will be nothing else to fight for."

After the discussion,han went home

Han trudged home, his mind racing with thoughts of Taejoon. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was running out of time, when he remembers he have practice session,he sighs and head out again.

Later that day, Han arrived at the company for practice, but his focus was off. He kept messing up, and their instructor wasn't having it.

"What's wrong with you, Han?" the instructor snapped. "Get your head in the game!"

The team was given a 10-minute break, and Jace, Kai, and Adriel collapsed beside Han, exhausted.

Adriel nudged him. "What's going on, Han? You're off your game."

Han took a deep breath and spilled everything – the dream, the poison, Mako's plans. Their expressions turned grave.

"We won't let Mako win," Adriel said, his voice low and determined.

Jace spoke up. "When are you getting the magical apple to heal yourself?"

Han glanced at him. "After practice. When I'm gone, you guys find a way to distract Taejoon. Don't let him know I'm heading into the Land of Lost Souls."

The others nodded, and Kai squeezed his shoulder. "We'll handle it."

Their instructor walked back in. "Alright, time's up. Let's resume."

The team stood, their faces set with determination.

Time skip hours later after practice

After practice, Han, Jace, Kai, Adriel, and the old lady made their way to the border between the living and the dead. The air grew thick with an otherworldly energy as they approached the ancient gates.

The old lady stepped forward, speaking to the gatekeeper in hushed tones, using an ancient Greek dialect. "Ὁ ἄρχων τῶν πάντων, ἀλλ᾽ ὁ σῶμα αὐτοῦ φαρμάκειον. Θέλει εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὸν κόσμον τῶν νεκρῶν διὰ τὸ μῆλον τῆς ζωῆς."

The gatekeeper, an imposing figure with eyes that saw through lies, raised an eyebrow. He didn't believe. With a wave of his hand, he summoned a faint glow, and grasped Han's palms.

As the gatekeeper's magic probed Han's body, his expression shifted from skepticism to surprise. He released Han's hands, his voice low. "Σύ εἶ ὁ ἀληθινὸς ἄρχων... ἀλλὰ προσοχή. Εἰ τι σοι συμβῇ ἐκεῖ, ἀπολεῖσαι εἰς τὸν αἶῶνα."

Han nodded, understanding the warning. The gatekeeper stepped aside, allowing them passage.

"You should be careful," the gatekeeper said, his voice stern. "If anything happens to you in there, that's it. You'll be lost forever."

Han took a deep breath, steeling himself. "I'll be back."

Jace, Kai, and Adriel shared a tense nod. The old lady handed Han a small pouch. "For the journey."

Han tucked it away, then turned to his friends. "Distract Taejoon. I'll handle the rest."

With a final nod, Han stepped through the gates, vanishing into the Land of Lost Souls.

Jace, Adriel, and Kai broke down, tears streaming down their faces as the gate closed, separating them from Han. The old lady rolled her eyes, exasperated.

"Stop it, you fools!" she muttered, grabbing Kai's arm. With a flick of her wrist, she vanished, teleporting them away.

The gatekeeper chuckled, his laughter echoing through the desolate landscape. "Only the one who wants a solution can go in. So stay out, stupid humans."

The old lady reappeared with Kai, Adriel, and Jace in the company's training room. She vanished as quickly as she appeared, leaving the three to compose themselves.

Jace sighed, wiping his eyes. "I guess this is it."

Kai nodded, his voice somber. "Yeah, at least she used her powers to send us back instead of us using our efforts."

Adriel's jaw clenched. "Definitely. Now we'll stick to the plan – keep Taejoon from knowing about Han's whereabouts."

The three shared a determined look, their faces set with resolve.
