Chapter 149 - I Leave the Deity to You

Seeing Miko's smug, tsundere expression, Paimon put her hands on her hips. "She's playing dumb, isn't she? She's doing it on purpose."

Miko chuckled. "The little thing is getting smarter. But I'm telling the truth this time. I know very little about Raiden Makoto's consciousness space."

"All I know is that it is the foundation of the Sacred Sakura. I've heard it is somewhat different from Ei's Plane of Euthymia."

Paimon asked, "Is it because Raiden Makoto is no longer here?"

[Lumine: What exactly is a consciousness space? Paimon and I seem to be able to enter with our physical bodies.]

[Yae Miko: Well, a consciousness space is also a complete space, like a small world within a world.]

[Paimon: That is truly amazing.]

[Lumine: The scenery within a consciousness space can change. I remember when I first entered Ei's space, everything was blood-colored and dilapidated. Later, sunlight and hope appeared inside Ei's space. But Makoto's consciousness space has nothing at all.]

[Yae Miko: Good, good. That is indeed one of the differences. Very observant, little one.]

[Lumine: I am Lumine, not Paimon. I am not a little one.]

[Yae Miko: Anyone shorter than me is a little one.]

Miko continued, "That is not the whole explanation. The nature of the space itself also differs. Rather than me theorizing here, those of you who have visited in person should have a better understanding."

Lumine shook her head. "I did not notice anything at all."

Miko did not dwell on the issue. "Haha, those are just minor details. No need to get too caught up. For now, let us go to the entrance of the space."

Arriving at the entrance, Miko continued, "In any case, it is still somewhat abstract. I cannot pinpoint the exact location of that place within the space, but I can send you to Ei's side."

Paimon's head was spinning.

Miko added, "In short, everything around her is very chaotic and disorganized. Forcing your way in would be very dangerous. You could easily get completely lost in time and space. That is precisely why, when entering the Plane of Euthymia, it is safer to imprint your consciousness onto an object."

Hearing there was danger, Paimon waved her hands repeatedly. "Then I am not going."

Lumine turned to look at her. "Paimon, are you going to abandon me?"

Miko looked unconcerned. "It is fine if you do not go. The worst that could happen is losing Ei, right?"

After a brief internal struggle, Paimon agreed.

Then Miko raised her hand and opened the swirling portal again.

Miko said, "Only a consciousness strong enough can avoid being swallowed by the giant waves of the abstract space. You are strong enough, so I can send you to the right place."

Lumine nodded.

Miko looked at Lumine with hopeful eyes. "Well, the door is open. Please enter."

"I will stay outside, ready to adapt to the situation, as your final safeguard. Lumine, I leave my deity to you."

[Furina: 'I leave my deity to you.' I love that line.]

[Navia: A sweet pet romance.]

[Paimon: That is not it at all! This is a heroic moment. Both Paimon and Lumine are heroes.]

[Yae Miko: That is not wrong either.]

[Furina: So you admit it is a sweet pet romance?]

[Yae Miko: No. I admit it is a heroic drama. Go forth, my little hero.]

"For my sake, for Inazuma's sake, you must do your best!"

[Furina: Oh ho? 'For my sake'? Could it be that you have fallen for Lumine?]

[Yae Miko: What? Is the wise and powerful Lumine not worth a tiny bit of affection? Just a tiny bit, though.]

[Lumine: I am worth more than that!]

[Paimon: Exactly! We helped Inazuma so much in the future. Only a tiny bit of affection?]

[Yae Miko: Little Paimon, who is occasionally clever, seems not so clever today.]

[Paimon: What do you mean? I have always been clever!]

[Yae Miko: Figure it out yourself, little one.]

[Paimon: Miko, explain yourself...]

[Yae Miko: No, no. If I explain, it will not be fun anymore...]
