Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Power of a Punch

Setting aside Li Lei and his cronies' schemes, and Liu Yun's thoughts and preparations for retaliation, the Dojo of Limits' chief instructor, Wu Tong, had already arrived.

His hair was disheveled, and his eyes were sharp as blades.

Before he even spoke, two Martial Artists under him had already stepped forward to maintain order.

"No more chatting, no more chatting! The test is about to begin!"

"If you don't quiet down now, your test qualification will be revoked immediately."

The two powerful Martial Artists stood tall and imposing, over seven feet in height.

As they spoke, everyone in the crowd fell silent.

Wu Tong instructed them to take out their ID cards and line up for the test one by one.

Liu Yun was the first, and his heart was incredibly excited.

Wu Tong also recognized Liu Yun; they had met before and even carried out a mission together.

Now, their reunion filled him with endless emotion.

"Liu Yun, you're here too? Ah, the test has started, go on up."

Wu Tong said, activating a machine on the side.

The display quickly showed Liu Yun's information, and the 'High-Level Warrior' data caused a stir of surprise and uncertainty among the onlookers.

"Good! I've indeed recovered! Boss Wu, just watch."

Liu Yun was eagerly rubbing his fists, ready to display his full strength, when suddenly a mocking voice came from beside him.

"Ah hahahaha! I'm dying of laughter! How dare a cripple like you come back to test?"

"Any Tom, Dick, or Harry is showing up.

I bet you, a sickly wretch, will punch yourself to death."

These were Li Lei's friends, now gathered very close to the testing machine, fearlessly mocking Liu Yun.

They had chosen this position specifically to interfere with Liu Yun's performance.

Liu Yun's illness was severe, and no one believed he could recover, so these people were calmly kicking him while he was down.

If Liu Yun got angry, his focus would be divided, and even if he passed, he might be judged as failing.

Moreover, the test time was limited, and if Liu Yun talked back, he might miss his chance.

Li Lei, in the crowd, watched Liu Yun being verbally abused, and his heart was filled with glee.

These were just idle remarks, and no one responded for a short while.

Wu Tong merely frowned and glared at the two men, who then scratched their ears and cheeks, claiming they were just joking and didn't mean it.

"Sigh, these people are truly shameless."

Luo Feng, watching from the side, saw it clearly and couldn't help but feel a bit displeased, though he couldn't really do anything about it.

Liu Yun, fueled by anger, directly threw a punch, striking the punching target heavily.

No matter how angry Liu Yun was, his Mechanical Race Clone was always there to guide him, ensuring his movements were perfectly executed.

His core engaged, power flowed through his arm, and a heavy punch slammed into the target, producing an unexpectedly loud bang.

This punch had already utilized ability transfer.

Liu Yun directly displayed the strength of a beginner General-level Martial Artist, and the sound wave was enough to injure people!

"Bang!"

It was a deafening sound.

The two Rookie Warriors who were standing too close had their eardrums bleeding from the shock.

The display screen immediately showed the number: 9330KG.

This was a number beyond everyone's imagination, leaving the surrounding Rookie Warriors dumbfounded.

Even some of Liu Yun's old acquaintances were incredibly shocked at this moment.

"Didn't he suffer technologically irreparable damage to his spine? How could he suddenly be so strong?"

The two Martial Artists who were initially guarding the entrance, now inside, were completely stunned.

They had thought Liu Yun's traditional Chinese medicine treatment was merely self-deception, and only now did they begin to understand the greatness of traditional Chinese medicine.

"Brother Liu Yun is so powerful! Wasn't he supposed to be crippled?"

Luo Feng was incredibly shocked.

Although he would later discover his Psycher Master talent, for now, he had just witnessed a General-level individual appear, someone he had just been chatting with.

Li Lei, in the crowd, couldn't believe his eyes and cried out exaggeratedly.

"What's going on? There must be a problem.

Is this machine malfunctioning? We must retest."

Hearing this, some in the crowd showed signs of agreement, and some even began to suggest to Wu Tong that the test results might not be reliable.

However, what was even more striking was that the two men who had mocked Liu Yun, Xia Lin and Wang Huifeng, were now not only bleeding from both ears but also from all seven orifices, lying on the ground wailing and writhing like maggots.

Judging by their condition, their injuries might be severe, possibly even affecting their strength.

Upon seeing this, Li Lei quickly called for paramedics.

These two seemed to have sustained internal injuries from the sound, and internal injuries could be minor or major.

If delayed, they could be fatal.

This sight largely dispelled the crowd's doubts about the test results.

The previous loud bang had such immense energy, causing two novice warriors to collapse directly, suggesting that the matter was likely true and the results difficult to cancel.

However, Li Lei would certainly try to obstruct things and continue to cause trouble.

He quickly guessed the truth in his heart but simply could not accept it.

"There must be a problem!

The machine is broken, right?

How could a cripple suddenly become so strong?

The results must be cancelled."

He roared helplessly, his face red and veins bulging, but only received a chorus of eye-rolls.

In fact, this was also a symbol of his powerlessness.

Liu Yun looked at Wu Tong, wondering what he would do.

Wu Tong was certainly incredibly shocked, but he still had to maintain order.

They were professionals and had anticipated some things.

"It's alright, accidents are bound to happen in the Dojo, we were prepared.

Stop arguing, the results are valid and will not be voided."

With a wave of his hand, a group of people in white quickly arrived and carried the two men away.

Li Lei's face was even paler, partly because Liu Yun had passed the test, and partly because Liu Yun might possess strength beyond his imagination.

The sound wave injury was actually the result of the Mechanical Race Clone's careful calculation, combined with Liu Yun's angry punch.

The Automaton Race's incredibly powerful computing ability could provide Liu Yun with detailed guidance.

If Liu Yun wished, even using a 絕技 like Lion's Roar now to injure enemies was entirely possible.

"I didn't expect you to recover your body, and even surpass your former self.

It's a miracle!

But as for this matter, was it something you did intentionally?"

Chief Instructor Wu Tong stood beside Liu Yun and asked.

Liu Yun shook his head; how could he admit to this?

"Instructor, you must be joking.

This kind of control over power is simply beyond human capability!

It was just an accident; who told them to stand so close?"

Liu Yun claimed humans couldn't achieve such a feat, but Wu Tong didn't believe him.

He knew several top experts who could do this, and he himself might even be capable of similar things.

However, if Liu Yun had truly done this on purpose, it would be even more terrifying.

The individuals he knew who could do this were all one-in-a-million experts!

Even if it were true, they had to treat it as false for now.

"The test continues.

Any delays will be considered a forfeiture of qualification.

Next, Luo Feng!"

Wu Tong shrugged and continued to have the next person step forward for the test; the process had to be completed.

Li Lei looked on with despair.

He no longer dared to trouble Liu Yun; he didn't have the strength!

Wu Tong simply didn't care about what he said, as he had only just become a Martial Artist and held little influence.

Aside from a few friends helping him, no one would truly pay attention to him.

Liu Yun smiled at this, walking briskly away, and happened to meet Luo Feng.

"Do well."

As they brushed past each other, Liu Yun even encouraged Luo Feng with a couple of words.

"Mm!"

Luo Feng also nodded in response.

This was their quick greeting.

Since Liu Yun had the strength of a General, making friends naturally became simpler.

Only then did everyone recover from their surprise.

Several people, seeing Liu Yun approach, instinctively moved aside, not daring to slight a powerhouse with General-level strength.

Some even rushed forward to apologize, hoping to distance themselves from Li Lei, as offending a General-level powerhouse would likely lead to severe consequences later on.

Li Lei was dumbfounded, unable to utter a single word.

His reputation was already poor, and now he realized he had stirred up immense trouble.

"Hmph, get away from me!"

Liu Yun flatly refused their apologies, directly telling them to leave.

These people looked despairing, shot a resentful glance at Li Lei, and dispersed.

Now, they hated Liu Yun, but they hated Li Lei even more for causing them to needlessly gain a General-level enemy.

This was the result of a reality where strength was respected, and human relationships were incredibly cold and pragmatic.

This was a small commotion that quickly ended with Luo Feng delivering a powerful punch, reaching 1715KG.

People once again began to exclaim that Luo Feng was a Genius who achieved much at a young age!

After all, Luo Feng was younger and had more hope for the future.

Not everyone liked to get entangled in grudges.

After the others completed their tests, they began forming groups, as the final test was a practical combat test in Monster Town.

If one went alone, passing the test would become extremely difficult, so these people had already made arrangements to advance and retreat together.

Liu Yun, however, was unconcerned; for him, the rest was just a formality.

He mainly wanted to chat with Luo Feng for a bit, as he was the protagonist of the original work, with infinite potential in the future.

But now, many people present began to envy Luo Feng for gaining the friendship of a General, which was an excellent thing for a Rookie Warrior.

Li Lei, on the other hand, was forgotten.

From now on, no one would care about him.
