Chapter 301 - 301: The Fall of Akainu

Rolan stood quietly while looking over the devastated island.

The battlefield was almost unrecognizable. Large sections of the land had collapsed, deep cracks stretched across the ground, and smoke still drifted through the air. Even the sea around the island churned violently.

He slowly shook his head.

Even he had not expected the battle to cause such catastrophic damage.

Without hesitation, he tossed a *senzu bean* into his mouth. The moment it dissolved, the exhaustion that had built up in his body vanished. His stamina returned instantly, as if he had never fought at all.

Immediately afterward, Rolan activated the power of the *Electromagnetic Fruit*.

Invisible forces spread outward from his body as he began manipulating the island's magnetic field. The entire island had been severely destabilized by the battle. Stabilizing it was far from easy, even for him.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he focused.

The magnetic currents slowly shifted under his control. Broken landmasses trembled and settled as the chaotic magnetic forces around the island gradually stabilized.

Even so, the process consumed a noticeable amount of stamina.

Once he finished, Rolan turned his gaze toward Sengoku.

Given the state of the battlefield, continuing the war would serve no purpose.

"Looking at how things have turned out," Rolan said calmly, "there's no need for this war to continue."

His voice carried across the battlefield with surprising clarity.

"Continuing to fight will only increase casualties on both sides."

Sengoku frowned slightly as he listened.

But before he could respond, another voice erupted from nearby.

"Damn pirates!"

The furious roar came from Akainu.

His eyes burned with rage.

"You've destroyed this island and caused countless deaths, and now you want to stop the war? Impossible!"

Magma dripped from his body as killing intent surged.

"The only way this war ends is when all of you pirates are sent to hell!"

Many of the hardline Marines immediately voiced their agreement.

Rolan frowned slightly.

He had already expected this response.

Akainu was the type of man who would never stop fighting unless every pirate was dead. Even if the Marines no longer held any advantage, he would still refuse to retreat.

Rolan sighed faintly.

Then his figure suddenly disappeared.

Sengoku's expression instantly changed.

"Hey! Rolan! Masaka..."

Before the words fully left his mouth, Rolan reappeared directly in front of *Akainu*.

The sudden appearance shocked everyone nearby.

A sharp electromagnetic current gathered in Rolan's hand. Within seconds, a glowing *Electromagnetic Blade* formed.

Akainu's pupils shrank.

"Rolan!"

Instead of fear, his anger only intensified.

"You dare show yourself in front of me again?"

He raised his mechanical right arm.

"Good. I'll settle everything from last time!"

The massive arm swung forward with explosive force.

However, Akainu was no longer in peak condition. He had already suffered severe injuries during the battle and had exhausted a large amount of stamina.

To Rolan, the attack looked painfully slow.

Rolan calmly raised his left hand.

Then he caught the mechanical arm with his bare palm.

Nearby, *Sabo* watched the scene with a pale face. Blood stained the corner of his mouth, clear evidence of the brutal battle he had just fought against Akainu.

When he saw Rolan blocking the attack with his hand, his eyes widened.

"Mr. Rolan!"

His voice carried urgency.

"Be careful! His mechanical arm is coated with *Seastone*!"

Bang!

A heavy sound echoed across the battlefield as Akainu's mechanical arm slammed directly into Rolan's palm.

Akainu's lips slowly curled into a cruel smile.

"Once you're finished," he said coldly, "I'll deal with *Gold Emperor Ace and Straw Hat Luffy* next."

He knew exactly what he was doing.

Rolan was a Devil Fruit user. Once Seastone touched his body, the usual result would be immediate weakness and loss of strength.

But Rolan simply looked at him.

Then he smiled faintly.

Akainu froze.

"You..."

Rolan spoke slowly.

"Didn't Sengoku tell you?"

His voice remained calm.

"I'm not afraid of the sea."

In the next moment, the power of the *Electromagnetic Fruit* erupted.

Crackling arcs of electricity burst from Rolan's palm and wrapped tightly around Akainu's mechanical arm.

Akainu's eyes widened in horror.

Under the intense electromagnetic heat, the arm rapidly turned bright red.

Sizzle. Sizzle. Sizzle.

Within seconds, the metal began to melt.

The mechanical arm collapsed into molten liquid that dripped onto the ground, burning straight through the surface of the island.

Akainu stared in disbelief.

"How is that possible?!"

He remembered something Garp had mentioned before.

Garp once said that Rolan seemed unaffected by seawater.

At the time, Akainu had dismissed it as exaggeration.

In this world, everyone knew that Devil Fruit users were rejected by the sea. Seastone carried the same effect.

But now the impossible was happening right in front of him.

Rolan truly wasn't affected.

Rolan lifted his electromagnetic blade.

Without hesitation, he drove it straight into Akainu's chest.

The blade pierced through him instantly.

"Admiral Akainu," Rolan said calmly.

"I'm well aware of the tricks you used on Ace and the Whitebeard Pirates."

His voice held no emotion.

"And personally, I don't like you."

Akainu coughed violently as blood poured from his mouth.

"Someone like you," Rolan continued, "is not fit to live in the New World."

"So dying here is probably the best outcome."

"Damn you... Rolan..."

Akainu's body trembled.

His strength rapidly faded as blood soaked the ground beneath him.

His eyes remained fixed on Rolan, filled with fury and unwillingness.

Then the light slowly faded from them.

His body collapsed to the ground.

Admiral *Akainu* was dead.

Sabo stared in shock.

In that moment, his understanding of Rolan's strength changed completely.

A Devil Fruit user who was not affected by Seastone.

And an Admiral eliminated with a single attack.

It was almost unbelievable.

Far away, *Sengoku* shouted in disbelief.

"Sakazuki!"

Although many Marines feared Akainu's ruthless methods, and even high ranking officers felt his concept of justice was too extreme, there was no denying his dedication.

Among the three Admirals, Akainu had the highest mission completion rate.

One hundred percent.

That was why Sengoku often entrusted him with the most dangerous missions.

But now, that man had fallen on the battlefield.

And he had fallen at Rolan's hands.

When Rolan had previously killed a World Government agent, Sengoku had not reacted much.

But this time was different.

This time, it was a Marine Admiral.

For a moment, Sengoku simply could not accept it.

Meanwhile, Rolan glanced down at Akainu's body.

Feeling the fading life force, he lost interest.

He looked up and spoke calmly.

"If anyone still wants to fight, I don't mind entertaining them."

The statement caused an uproar among the Marines.

"Admiral Akainu...!"

Vice Admiral *Doberman* stared in disbelief.

Within the Marines, Akainu had always been the man he admired the most.

His overwhelming strength, his strict discipline, and his unwavering belief in *Absolute Justice* had deeply influenced many soldiers.

Doberman had even hoped that Akainu would eventually become the next Fleet Admiral.

But now that belief collapsed before his eyes.

"Sakazuki..."

Even *Kizaru's* usually relaxed expression disappeared.

Sadness appeared on his face.

Although the Admirals often argued and mocked each other, they had fought side by side for many years.

Watching his comrade fall, Kizaru could only sigh softly.

He said nothing else.

Sengoku looked at Rolan.

Then he looked at *Whitebeard* in the distance.

After a long moment, he slowly released his *Golden Buddha* form.

His body returned to normal.

Then he raised his voice.

"The war is over!"

His shout echoed across the entire battlefield.

Even the Marines who felt unwilling slowly stopped fighting.

This battle had ended in complete defeat for the Marines.

They had failed to execute *Ace*.

They had failed to defeat the *Whitebeard Pirates*.

Countless soldiers had died.

And now, even an Admiral had fallen.

The pirates also gradually stopped fighting.

Despite the victory, no one celebrated.

Many had lost comrades.

Some had lost captains.

Almost everyone carried injuries.

Rolan quietly observed the battlefield.

He slowly shook his head.

There were never true victors in war.

No matter who won, war always left scars behind.

He sighed inwardly and stopped thinking about it.

In the next instant, he appeared beside the *visual Den Den Mushi* broadcasting the war across the world.

The transponder snail focused on him.

Rolan looked directly into it.

Then he spoke slowly.

"There is something I want to say."

His voice spread across the entire world through the broadcast.

"To everyone watching this war."

He paused briefly.

Then continued.

"I'm about to tell you the truth of this world."
