Everyone's gaze snapped toward the spot where BIG MOM had just been standing.
In her place stood a bizarre figure, a creature with a human head and a bird's body.
It was Kuro, the strategist of the Ion Tempest.
A wave of unease spread through the Big Mom Pirates the moment he appeared.
Kuro's performance at Marineford was still fresh in their minds. He had fought Fleet Admiral Sengoku head on and forced a draw.
Sengoku was a legend of the same era as Garp, Whitebeard, and Roger, a monster who stood at the peak of the sea.
For Kuro to match him meant only one thing.
He had already stepped into the level of a Yonko.
No wonder Rolan had only sent five people to Totto Land.
And that was not all.
At that moment, a figure dressed in purple still stood calmly aboard the ship. Some among the Big Mom Pirates had seen that person before during the assault on Peach Garden.
Back then, he had single handedly held back their captains.
That meant among these five, at least two possessed Yonko level strength.
Then there were fighters like Enel and Crocodile, each with power comparable to Marine Admirals.
And finally, the Surgeon of Death, Trafalgar Law.
This lineup alone was enough to crush almost any force in the world, only the World Government might stand above them.
Even the likes of the Whitebeard Pirates or the Red Hair Pirates would think twice.
Fear began to creep into the hearts of the Big Mom Pirates.
"This… whether Rolan is here or not doesn't even matter anymore."
"Should we run?"
"Run? Where can we run? You think you can outrun lightning or that monster in the sky?"
"Then we surrender."
"Yeah, surrender! Maybe they'll spare us!"
The whispers spread like wildfire.
Perospero's expression darkened as he sensed the collapse in morale. As the eldest son, and with Katakuri absent, he had to hold things together.
If they lost their will to fight, everything would be over.
"Shut up! It's just five people! Even if Rolan were here, we outnumber them! No one retreats, attack!"
The moment he finished speaking, he made the first move.
He licked his lips and thrust both hands forward toward Crocodile and the others.
A surge of pink liquid candy burst out, rushing forward like a flood. In the blink of an eye, it rose into a massive wave dozens of meters high and swallowed the ship whole.
The moment it engulfed the ship, the candy hardened instantly.
A gigantic candy statue stood in the square.
The Big Mom Pirates froze for a second, then excitement surged through them.
Just as cheers were about to erupt, a voice echoed from within the hardened candy.
"Too weak. An attack like this and you think you can stop us, how naive."
A sharp cracking sound followed.
Cracks spread rapidly across the candy structure.
Crack!
The entire statue shattered into pieces.
A storm of yellow sand burst out, rising into the sky.
"Heh, Crocodile, what a shame. I was hoping that would finish you," Enel said, a hint of disappointment in his tone.
Crocodile let out a low chuckle. "Someone like you is still alive, so how could I die first?"
Enel smirked. "Then let's see who kills more."
His body flickered into lightning, vanishing and reappearing across the battlefield.
Every flash was followed by a scream.
Charlotte Cracker's eyes reddened at the sight. While they ruled the seas with fear, within the crew they were still family.
Watching his brothers and sisters fall one after another ignited his fury.
He commanded his Biscuit Soldiers forward and charged at Enel.
But Enel's Observation Haki had already locked onto him.
In a flash, Enel appeared right in front of Cracker.
"What, you want to join the fun?"
Cracker's pupils shrank.
Too fast.
Before he could react, lightning exploded.
Smoke rose from his body as the world around him faded into darkness.
At the same time, another battle unfolded.
Charlotte Smoothie stepped forward, her towering figure casting a shadow over Crocodile.
Crocodile glanced up at her, clearly displeased.
"I hate looking up at people."
Smoothie's expression remained cold. "Then you can lie down and look up all you want."
She swung her long sword, her strikes fast and precise.
Crocodile barely spared her a glance, his attention briefly flicking toward Enel's battlefield. Seeing Enel had already finished his opponent, he lost interest in holding back.
"Desert Funeral."
His body dissolved into swirling sand. The ground beneath them turned into a shifting desert.
Smoothie lost her footing, her balance breaking as her attack faltered.
In an instant, countless sand blades rose around her.
"Sand Coffin."
The sand wrapped around her tightly, binding her in midair.
As Crocodile exerted his power, her body began to shrink.
Her strength, her vitality, everything was being drained.
A faint sound escaped her lips as her tall figure withered down into a frail, childlike form.
Her energy was completely exhausted.
Shock filled her mind.
She had not even lasted a single exchange.
As her consciousness faded, one thought echoed clearly.
The Big Mom Pirates are finished. Totto Land is finished.
Crocodile moved on without a second glance, diving straight into the crowd.
Even though he claimed he disliked competing with Enel, his actions told a different story.
With overwhelming force, even fighters like Daifuku and Oven were taken down before they realized what had happened.
The battlefield turned into chaos.
"This… this is a natural disaster!"
"How do we fight something like this?"
"Run! Everyone run!"
"Please don't kill me!"
"We surrender! Spare us!"
Voices of despair filled the air as the Big Mom Pirates completely lost their will to fight.
One after another, they collapsed to their knees.
Just as Enel and Crocodile prepared to continue the slaughter, a calm voice rang out across the battlefield.
"Mr. Enel, Mr. Crocodile, could you spare these people for this old man's sake?"
