Ironwood Manor.
In the villa's room, I was sitting cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by piles of herbs.
I carefully picked out a herb, holding it in my palm.
A layer of pure white light enveloped my palm, reminiscent of moonlight.
After holding it for a minute or two, I put it down, tossed it into the pot with a few other herbs, and crushed them vigorously.
Soon, I obtained a small bowl of herbal liquid, poured it into a bottle, diluted it with tea, and it became a tonic.
I packed it up and set the bottle of tonic aside.
After a short rest, I began preparing the next bottle of medicine.
Boom!
Outside the window, the roaring thunder sounded. Lightning tore through the night sky, turning the world a blinding white.
I glanced up and saw the storm raging outside.
I looked away and continued with my medicine-making.
At that moment, there was the sound of gentle footsteps outside the door. Then, the door creaked open, and Jessica entered.
