I picked up the phone.
On the other end, Secretary Perez's deep voice came through: "Thompson!"
"Hey! Secretary, what's the matter?" I asked.
"Are you free now? I'd like you to come over and help look at a patient," Secretary Perez said.
"A patient?" I furrowed my brow, "What kind of illness?"
"Well..." Secretary Perez hesitated for a moment and said, "It's a brain hemorrhage, coupled with multiple organ failure. It's getting critical. Actually, the patient is quite elderly, already eighty-nine, so it's about time, but his case is somewhat special..."
"I know your medical skills are amazing, Thompson. Is there any way to save him?"
After hearing this, I frowned even deeper.
After pondering for a moment, I said, "Without a detailed diagnosis, it's hard to say. I'll go over and take a look first!"
"Alright!" Secretary Perez said. "It's at the Central General Hospital. I'll send a driver to pick you up!"
