The high-spirited atmosphere came to an abrupt halt, with many people showing a look of confusion.
No one named Charlie was on the list of those who got into Apex University this year.
This name wasn't even something anyone had heard of before.
Amid the crowd's puzzlement, their gazes wandered around and finally settled on me.
Among this group, they knew everyone else, all top students they had seen before, except for me whose face was unfamiliar, clearly this so-called Charlie.
"Who is this guy anyway? Never seen him around! Is he also from our school?"
The crowd whispered.
