I found Cassidy in her room, clutching a letter and crying. My heart sank, had someone sent her something cruel about me?
"Cass, what's wrong?"
She looked up, tears streaming down her face. "It's from Silverwood. From Alpha Thorne himself."
She handed me the letter with shaking hands. I read it, my blood running cold with each line:
"Cassidy Reed,
It has come to my attention that you are residing at The Nightshade Pack, living alongside the hybrid abomination that calls itself Luna. I am writing to inform you that your younger sister, Lily, whom you abandoned when you fled Silverwood, is not faring well in your absence.*
Lily has been asking for you constantly, crying for her sister who left her behind. As her Alpha, I have been forced to discipline her repeatedly for her disruptive behavior. However, I am a reasonable wolf.
