She slept deeply and woke to bells ringing somewhere across the complex. The first bell that apparently governed much of Redstone's daily rhythm.
Time for the official meeting.
They dressed with care. Clean clothes, proper presentation, the Pack Healer insignia positioned formally. Mara arrived precisely on schedule to escort them to Luna Sera's audience chamber.
The chamber itself was impressive. High ceilings, excellent light from large windows, a raised platform where Luna Sera sat behind a substantial desk. Not a throne, exactly, but definitely a position of authority. Guards stood at attention on either side. An assistant sat at a smaller desk to one side, apparently recording the proceedings.
Luna Sera herself was a woman in her mid forties. Dark hair pulled back severely, sharp eyes that assessed everything. She wore formal robes in Redstone colors, and her entire bearing suggested someone who had built a life around competent administration.
