The Snow Season came abruptly and left abruptly.
Rowan looked out of the cave; yesterday snow still covered the ground, but now bare patches of earth were visible.
He stepped out of the cave, bathing in the long-unseen sunlight, feeling a bit scorching hot. The weather here changed too quickly; even though it had warmed up, it made one feel very uncomfortable.
"Is the weather here always this erratic?" Rowan wasn't used to it and took off the thick layers of fur clothing on his body.
"Always like this." Owen's spirits lifted significantly as he watched his mate's every movement, dispelling the characteristic lethargy of the Silver-Winged Snake Clan during the Snow Season.
Thank goodness, his mate hadn't gotten thinner.
But it seemed Rowan was even more muscular than before; the Snow Season had required layers of thick fur wrapping him, so it wasn't visible. At a glance, his mate had muscles again and had even grown taller.
