Owen sat on the stone bed, recalling the scene where Rowan wouldn't let him cook last time because he criticized it as bad. He decided not to provoke Rowan right now and just let him show off his skills.
Rowan went to the kitchen corner and tried to roast some stored smoked meat. This dish was quick to make and could be eaten immediately without elaborate preparation, suitable for the current situation.
Fortunately, he had often helped Owen in the past few days, so the basic steps like starting the fire and preliminary processing were quite simple; he could quickly get to work without being awkward or burning down the kitchen.
He suddenly thought that since Owen was currently injured (in his opinion), he couldn't eat such greasy food as it would be hard to digest. So, he used a stone knife to slice open the smoked meat, stuffed some fresh wild vegetables that Owen usually ate into the middle, and skewered them to roast together.
