Rowan walked over to pick up the snakeskin that had been more than halfway shed on the ground. Touching it felt very smooth and tough; the diamond-shaped patterns imprinted on the translucent skin looked like a network, quite large, and although a bit wrinkled, it couldn't be considered beautiful.

This thing could be kept; it seemed the entire snakeskin was very intact and could be used to make a new set of animal skin clothes for Owen, which would surely be very durable and waterproof.

Of course, he didn't know how to do it; Owen would still have to make it himself, Rowan would only be in charge of providing the idea.

The snake rubbed for almost the whole night, the sound of scales rasping against stone echoing ceaselessly in the quiet space, until finally, it was about to finish shedding, leaving only a small section at the tip of the tail.
