Returning to the tent, the narrow space felt safe.
Tania looked at his mate, who hadn't said a word, sitting dazedly on the animal skin, his spirit depressed. Tania sighed, approached, and gently hugged Dante from behind.
Dante turned around, reaching out to tightly embrace his small Omegina into his arms as if wanting to carve him into his bones, burying his head in Tania's neck to find a bit of warmth and peace, breathing in the familiar scent to reassure himself.
Tania was hugged so tightly it hurt, his bones feeling as if they were about to shatter, but he didn't push Dante away, silently stroking Dante's back to comfort him.
"Did I do wrong? I led everyone onto a path with no return." Dante's voice choked.
