It seemed like Gula had just dug his own grave.
Elsewhere, a figure observed intently. A humanoid with blue skin and a halo around his neck, he held his scepter while watching the destructive energy swirling in Yoshi's hand.
"Impossible… absolutely impossible," Whis whispered softly."The God of Destruction of our universe… died thousands of years ago."
(Some might wonder: if the God of Destruction of the GT Universe is dead, why is the Supreme Kai still alive? The truth: Whis hadn't yet selected a candidate for the next God of Destruction, and now a new God of Destruction—Yoshi—was already present!)
Since the death of the previous God of Destruction, Whis had been lazily resting, sleeping for thousands of years, planning to continue indefinitely… until the surge of Yoshi's destructive energy woke him.
The universe had created a new God of Destruction.
"I need to see what's happening to this child!" Whis thought, transforming into a cloud of flames and flying toward the source.
Meanwhile, on the planet where Yoshi stood:
Yikes.
Yoshi punched the air with overwhelming force.
Boom!
A distant mountain range collapsed under the impact.
"Good… I'm getting used to this power," Yoshi said, retracting his fist.
The sudden surge of his base power had almost thrown him out of control. A small misstep and he might have flown straight into space. It took him about ten minutes, but now… his control over his body and power was at 100%.
"Alright… time to go to Earth." Yoshi lifted his gaze to the depths of space.
"If I remember correctly, twenty years ago, when I crossed over, I held Android 21 and Bardos' sister Ben in my care."
"No matter what, I'll make them into lovely sisters."
"And of course… their protector has to be me!"
Thinking of his original ideals, Yoshi felt a spark of excitement he hadn't experienced in years.
"Don't forget your original intention. Always stay true."
"Go!"
Yoshi launched into the air, preparing to teleport.
"Yoshi! Where do you think you're running?!"
A roar echoed across the sky.
"Oh, Gula." Yoshi paused mid-flight.
He knew this opponent all too well. Ten years ago, he had barely escaped Gula's pursuit. A month later, he broke through to Super Saiyan. Since then, he had intentionally suppressed his combat power, using the Gula Legion to refine his skills. That strategy had helped him grow faster—Gula's men had unwittingly contributed to his development.
"What do you want from me?" Yoshi asked casually, a trace of amusement in his voice.
Gula's eyes widened with fury."You dare ask that?! Ten years… ten years of attacking my men! My Gula Legion has fallen behind Frieza's forces all because of you! If I don't kill you twenty times, my hatred will never be satisfied!"
"You're not here to kill me, are you?" Yoshi glanced at the sky. Gula's forces had surrounded the entire planet.
"Hmph. That's right," Gula sneered."Even if you kneel and beg for mercy, I won't forgive you!"
"Oh? Is that so?" Yoshi's lips curved into a slight smile.
"You laugh…" Gula growled, confused.
Suddenly, a massive force slammed down on Gula.
Boom!
He was pressed to the ground, forced onto his knees as if begging for mercy.
"Eh… you came all the way here to kowtow to me?" Yoshi said, surprised.
Gula froze. ???Kneel? Not exactly. His legs simply refused to obey.
"You little brat!" Gula roared."Is this your doing?!"
Yoshi calmly spread his fingers and aimed at him."I'm in a good mood today… actually, it's the first time in twenty years I've felt this happy. I'll give you a chance. Five seconds. Disappear from me, and I might forgive you."
He began counting indifferently:"One…"
Gula's jaw dropped. Could this really be happening?
"Ha! Yoshi, you foolish monkey! You dare threaten me?!"
Gula erupted in rage, transforming into his final form and pushing his power to the limit."Do you think this little trick can stop me? I—"
But no matter how much energy he released, he could not rise. He remained kneeling, helpless before Yoshi.
"Impossible…" Gula shivered. He had never seen such a thing.
"Three…" Yoshi counted, narrowing his fingers in a deadly gesture.
Gula felt a chill run down his spine. Previously, he had assumed Yoshi's countdown was a joke, a minor trick easily broken by brute strength.
Now… he realized he was the real joke.
Yoshi's three fingers alone carried the unmistakable threat of death.
