The moment I found Tessa, I didn't ask questions or even try to speak to her.
I grabbed her wrist, dragging her away from the group of newly recruited members she'd been chatting with.
I didn't let go until we were inside my room.
"What the hell, Knox?!" she snapped, yanking her arm free and glaring at me. Her eyes darted around like she expected someone to be hiding behind the door. "Are you insane? Dante is still in the pack house. He's going to have you head!"
"My room is safe," I said flatly, pulling out the phone from my back pocket.
It was one of the few places in the Alpha building without a camera. I'd removed it myself because I didn't want to be monitored, not because I had anything to hide. And, in particular, I found it really useful now.
"Does that matter?" she hissed. "Half the damn pack saw you drag me in here. What do you think they'll say to Dante?"
"Worry about what I'm going to say to you," I snarled, shoving the phone toward her.
