Chapter 23 - 23. Third Honkai Eruption and Reunion I

Speaking of which, the soft touch on his arm reminded him of something: Elysia was known to be 1.63 meters tall and weigh 54.8 kg, while Mobius was 1.73 meters tall and weighed 54.7 kg…

He couldn't help but start noticing the two women's figures.

Elysia suddenly looked up, squinting at **Lumine**. "Lumine, are you thinking about something very rude?"

Lumine: "…"

So it really was true—girls had an innate radar when it came to weight.

**Sakura** glanced at Elysia, then at Mobius, and finally looked down at herself, unconsciously comparing. Do boys really pay attention to things like this?

For a moment, it was as if **Ato** had never been there at all.

That was because everyone present understood Ato's character well. Most of the time he was unserious and unreliable, but when it truly mattered, he was one of the most trustworthy comrades one could have. What he saw, he would keep to himself.

Sensing Elysia's lingering displeasure, Lumine immediately changed the subject. "By the way, seeing Ato just now reminded me of something. If I remember correctly… Griseo should only be about two years old at this point, right?"

(A/N: I honestly don't know Griseo's age, so I just went with this part)

"Yes. Is there a problem?" Elysia replied, still clearly bothered by Lumine's earlier wandering thoughts.

Mobius reacted quickly—successfully diverting the conversation. She stopped staring at Elysia, lowered her head, and thought for a moment. "That's correct. But since we were all reset to this point in time, Griseo… most children at that age wouldn't be able to retain memories anyway."

Lumine: "…"

Had he unintentionally reset Griseo as well?

"Ah…" Elysia's attention was finally pulled away. "So does that mean… we'll need to get to know Griseo all over again?"

Is there really such a thing? Doesn't this mean she can get Gretsch to support her and Lumine?

Lumine didn't comment on whether that was a blessing or a complication. Instead, he steered things back on track. "So, can I start training now? The Third Honkai Impact is approaching, right? Since Kevin and the others have also been reborn, shouldn't we give them a little surprise?"

For example—joining the battle against the Third Herrscher after proper preparation.

In another room of Mobius's laboratory.

When the topic turned to Mobius's new "guinea pig," Blanca, holding little Griseo, said thoughtfully, "I've also looked through that boy's file. I've heard Ato say he's an outstanding young man. What do you think about Dr. Mobius and him…?"

Ato: "…Um, isn't Lumine still a minor?" Shouldn't he be closer to Elysia, who was around the same age?

Klein paused her data organization and replied calmly, "Dr. Mobius does seem quite interested in the newcomer. After all, whether as an experimental subject—or an assistant—he meets the doctor's requirements perfectly."

Blanca glanced at her husband. "What does it matter if he's a minor? He'll be an adult soon enough. Won't things be the same then? Honestly, Dr. Mobius is always buried in research—shouldn't she find herself a companion?"

Ato: "..."

He suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, worrying that Lumine might one day wake up strapped to an operating table.

Trying to steer the topic, he added carefully, "Blanca, I still think people closer in age tend to have more in common…" Like Elysia, for example.

"You have to believe that when love arrives, a few years of age difference doesn't matter at all," Blanca shrugged. "Besides, Dr. Mobius is surprisingly girlish when it comes to these things."

Ato: "..."

A "few years" was putting it lightly—the gap was closer to a decade.

Still, seeing his wife's unwavering expression, he sighed and surrendered. "You're right. Age isn't really a problem…" Then, in his heart, he silently added: Don't worry, Elysia. I'm still on your side. Do your best.

The Third Honkai Eruption

For most people in Nagazora City, this day was just an ordinary day, with office workers going to work as usual and students going to school as usual.

That's how it should be.

No one knows when or where the anomaly began.

Dark clouds obscured the sky, with lightning flashing intermittently within them.

A gigantic monster, as tall as half a building, suddenly appeared, and winged monsters swarmed and crashed through the streets like flies.

Even more terrifying, before anyone could react, the people around them suddenly turned into zombies from a movie and pounced on them to bite.

The once peaceful city was transformed into a living hell in an instant.

This is the moment of the Third Honkai Eruption, the birth of the Third Herrscher, the Herrscher of Lightning.

People scattered and fled, but two people went against the flow of the crowd toward the center of the thunderstorm.

They both remained silent. The younger, black-haired boy kept trying to save people who were attacked by Honkai Beasts or trapped under rubble, while the older, white-haired boy expressionlessly used a baseball bat to fight off one Honkai Beast after another, ignoring those who fell beside him.

"Kevin, come give me a hand!" Kosmo said as he tried to lift a piece of collapsed wall. "There are still people inside!"

Kevin swung a charging-class Honkai Beast flying with a single blow, glanced at Kosmo, and then walked over to help Kosmo lift the wall.

"Are you alright?" Kosmo asked the mother and child who had been rescued. "Hurry up and go, there will be help over there!"

The mother gave a bitter smile and pushed her child out of the rubble: "You take him and run, my legs can't walk anymore... You're not much older than my child, don't worry about me, you two run together!"

"Mom!" The boy turned to look at his mother, while Kosmo looked at Kevin. Kevin seemed not to see or hear anything, and simply walked towards a Chariot-class Honkai Beast that was coming this way.

Kosmo gritted his teeth and continued trying to pull the mother out of the rubble, while the boy helped him.

Just then, a Seraph- Class Honkai Beast charged towards them. Kosmo's eyes flashed, and he immediately picked up a piece of rubble next to the ruins and threw it at the Honkai Beast.

The rubble struck the Honkai Beast's head precisely. Although it didn't cause much damage, it successfully changed the Honkai Beast's direction of attack, causing it to crash into another pile of rubble.

However, staying in this place for too long was obviously unwise. Kosmo quickly scanned his surroundings and saw that there were already many zombies approaching, and there were probably quite a few Honkai Beasts of the Seraph Class.

"Leave me alone, take my child and run!" the mother cried out.

Kosmo pursed his lips. His strongest fighter, Kevin, had gone to lure away the most threatening Honkai Beast. His wisest choice now was to take the child and run away as quickly as possible.

(When faced with two evil, choose the lesser one...?)

Just as Kosmo finally made up his mind to run away with the child, a bullet hit the nearest assassin, followed by another burst of gunfire, and the assassins who came closer fell to the ground.

Kosmo breathed a sigh of relief; the Moth of Fire had finally arrived.

"Hey, are you guys alright? Come quick, there's a wounded soldier here!" A fully armed soldier waved to his comrades behind him.

Several soldiers helped the mother out of the ruins. Suddenly, Kosmo noticed several rushing Honkai Beasts charging towards them at high speed. Just as he was about to warn them, a cold light flashed, and the Honkai Beasts were instantly destroyed.

Even through their armor, Kosmo recognized the person who had saved them at a glance: "Sakura?"

Sakura simply nodded in agreement, then instructed the soldiers to quickly take the two survivors away from the battlefield. Only then did she look at Kosmo and say, "On the way here, we saw Suand Mei. They said you're in here. Kosmo, I'm relieved about Kevin, but as for you, perhaps it's best not to push yourself too hard right now?"

Kosmo didn't answer, and Sakura didn't have time to guess what he was thinking.

She looked in the direction where Kevin had lured away the Chariot-class Honkai Beast and tossed Kosmo a set of equipment: "Lumine said you're the type who won't listen to anything, so I'm giving you this. You haven't forgotten how to fight, have you?"

"Of course not." Kosmo quickly donned his equipment and immediately engaged in battle.
