The school goddess stood up and answered with a gorgeous smile. " The main purpose of the incubation tier is to strengthen our body past human limits and to awaken our soul sea."
Kate nodded in approval "Excellent..take your seat."
"Soul sea?.. What's that?"
" I thought we just have to awaken our elements and our soul beasts?"
"What's the soul sea?"
Murmurings filled the whole class as the students voiced their doubts noisily.
" You..You…You.." The cold-faced teacher pointed at eleven individuals "Your training will be doubled during the physical training class." The whole class turned quiet as the unlucky students cursed the teacher inwardly while the lucky ones were grateful they weren't caught.
She pressed another button and the image on the screen changed as she explained" The purpose of the incubation tier is to prepare your body for awakening but do you think the frail human body can contain such power?"
" From your first year in Springdale till now, your physical training has always being accompanied by serum injection. The physical training is to strengthen your body to it's limit to awaken the soul sea and the soul sea?" She paused as her eyes swept past the students who were clearly enthralled and engrossed.
"The soul sea is where your inherent dormant beast eggs lay. The serum strengthens your body beyond human limits and the physical training allows you to utilize the abundant spiritual energy in the serum effectively by squeezing out your potentials in order to awaken your soul sea."
" The serums are classified according to the tiers, incubation tier, Awakening tier ,Symbiosis tier all the way to the next stages and each tier's serum has four levels,level 0 serum, level 1serum, level 2 serum and level 3 serum."
"Hey.." Ken nudged Aaron and whispered " Which serum do you think we've been using for training?"
"Shut up man..how would I know " Aaron replied gloomily still annoyed by his earlier blunder.
Kate threw a cold glance at them and continued " Level 0 serum. " A yellow syrupy fluid in a glass showed on the screen. "It is the most common serum and the most available which the government gives every household in Virelux prime city each month,it's mostly for ordinary citizens who doesn't undergo physical training."
The image on the screen changed and a green syrupy fluid showed up " Level 1 serum,only available in schools,the military and Ascenders family clans and it's worth a million spirit coin each and that's the one we use here in Springdale High."
The students sucked in cold breaths when they heard the amount as they recalled the quantity of serums they have used up after 4 years in Springdale High. Their eyes shone with greed as they wished they could skin their blood and extract the serums which of course they know it's impossible.
A student raised his hand and asked somewhat nervously " Doesn't that mean that those capable of taking in double of the serum we usually take are...." He didn't complete his sentence but turned to look at Aaron, the whole class's attention shifted to him too.
Aaron's eyes twitched as he shifted uncomfortably on his seat.
The question resonated with some students as they directed their eager eyes towards the teacher wondering if they should take in more serums. That's millions for Christ's sake.
Kate's eyes turned colder and she scolded in a cold
voice "Do you think you can take in serums as you wish? Do you want to die?" The students felt a cold shiver down their spine as the temperature of the room decreased drastically
"People's constitutions are different and because he can take ten shots of level 1 serum, you think you are that capable? Some people can take in six shots,some eight and some genius can even take in sixteen shots but do you know what happens when you take in more than your body can contain?" Her question hung in the air and the students with greedy thoughts felt embarrassed.
"You will explode."
The students sucked in sharp breaths in shock as their hearts skipped some beats and they turned to look at Aaron.enviously.
" Fuck.. doesn't it mean that Aaron's a genius?"
" Yeah,he takes in 10 freaking shots. Even the school goddess has a limit of 6 shots."
Murmurings filled the room as the students turned to look at him in admiration.
"Hmph…" Daniel scoffed softly and stood up to the teacher asking in a sour voice" But miss Kate , the number of shots one takes in doesn't actually decide everything right?"
The young woman looked at him for a while before turning to the classroom "Researches has shown that the high number of shots one can take in signifies three things,a variant element ,a rare or variant soul beast and the third a trash whose body inherently lacks a soul beast and thus can't regulate the energy in the serum..but the third significance is a very rare case,one in a million rare case."
Daniel grinned while casting a meaningful smile at Aaron and a surreptitious glance at Sarah as if to prove something to her.
"I didn't know that the number of shots one can take in has such significance" Liana said thoughtfully with a slight tilt of her head and then turned to Sarah with a cheeky smile "Tsk…. tsk.. I was wondering why you suddenly became interested in that Aaron of a guy,turns out you are interested in his potential,right?"
"Why don't you guess?"
" Hmmm…knowing you, ordinary guys and ordinary genius can't catch your attention and his family background can't compare to yours and although he's quite handsome, you also have a lot of handsome suitors ,so it's definitely because of his potentials as a first genius."
Sarah turned to her with an enigmatic smile" Why can't it be because of love?"
"Heee…..do you take me for a fool, your family is clearly in need of a group of genius to be qualified to join the main branch at the capital and he fits the bill perfectly" She continued in a lower voice"I bet you want to use the honey trap and get him committed to your Solburn family..tsk I'm so smart"
" But..." She frowned as if she remembered something " Now I thought about it,that Daniel is also worth considering,he has a good family background, I think he's from a branch family of the Thornwoods family from the capital and his talent is quite great too."
Sarah chuckled and turned her attention to the class without giving an answer.
"Tch …So boring" She rolled her eyes but quickly straightened her back when she met a cold glance from the teacher.
Another student stood up and asked "Um…Miss Kate, what of the other two serums?"
"Those two serums are beyond your reach and some of you might never see it in your life time." Her finger pressed the button and the image changed to show two images,a fiery red syrupy fluid and a purple syrupy fluid. "The red serum is the level 2 serum while the latter is the level 3 serum. The energy contained in these two syrupy fluid is very enormous and one of them is worth thousands of level 1 syrup."
The students were shocked senseless as they couldn't fathom the concept of such amount of spirit coins.
"The level 2 and level 3 serums are only handled by the higher-ups in the military as well as very powerful Ascenders clans,they can only be used by absolute genius and people suspected to have ancient soul beasts."
Sarah raised her hands hurriedly while trying to calm her hurried breathing " Teacher,how can they determine people that have ancient beast souls?."
Kate raised an eyebrow" The government and Ascenders family has an instrument for that. Don't worry,it's part of the process during your awakening ceremony."
Sarah nodded and sat down with clenched fist and eyes shining with determination.
" Today is your last serum injection day after which you will learn how to awaken your soul sea.
The students clenched their fist with excitement,their breaths hurried and their shining eyes focused on her gleaming with anticipation of taking the first step towards becoming an Ascender.
A cold smile tugged at her lips which sent cold shivers down their spine as an omnious feeling arose in them.
" But the soul sea awakening will be after your physical training and I want you guys in the training hall in the next 20 minutes or you know the consequences." She finished off speech,as her knuckles let out cracking sounds before turning to leave the class.
The class became noisy as the students rushed out of the class while grumbling under their breaths.
"The witch actually smiled…"
" Damn..that's where it's so omnious"
" What smile?...more like invitation from the grim reaper"
"Why the heck is she the one inspecting our training today…?"
"Um…guys…..is it too late to back out?"
