Chapter 8 - The Great Hokage Rock

Uzumaki Apartment :

Waking up early due to the excitement of signing in at the Hokage Rock, Naruto moved his aching body toward the washroom to freshen up.

(...Too much training yesterday,)

he thought, wincing as his muscles protested.

While bathing, Naruto reflected on his Internal Strength skill.

(It's truly a growth-type skill, similar to Liaris Freese, but it primarily affects learning speed and technical execution. By the end of yesterday—whether it was cooking, dishwashing, chakra control, or Taijutsu forms—I was constantly getting better. Unlike before, when the "old" Naruto would train for hours with no results.)

He brushed his teeth and stepped into the shower, musing over the mechanics.

(It doesn't instantly inflate my stats, but it allows me to endure the kind of brutal physical training Guy and Lee do. It also bolsters a calm mind and invisible traits like willpower.)

Dressing quickly, Naruto began jogging toward the Hokage Rock.

(Maybe progress feels so rapid now because the previous 'Naruto' was such a dead-last in everything. The bar was set low.)

Nearby, the following ANBU guards started sweating.

They watched his direction with trepidation, mentally praying that Uzumaki Naruto had truly changed and wasn't about to pull a stunt on the village's most sacred monument.

The Captain signaled a subordinate to inform the Hokage immediately.

The Summit :

Naruto hurriedly climbed the stairs leading to the top of the monument. Reaching the summit, he walked toward the stone head of the Fourth Hokage and looked out over the village.

Birds chirped in the silent streets as the soft glow of the morning sun hit him. Naruto sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes.

Kage's Charisma: Confidence, optimism, and genuine warmth. A personal quality to attract and influence people; an infectious presence of a leader.

===========================

"Huh? That's not what I wanted!" Naruto grumbled aloud.

(Where is the Wood Release? The Hiraishin? Five-attribute Ninjutsu or hyper-reflexes? What use is 'attraction' when I'm trying to be low-key?!)

Disappointed, Naruto wandered off the mountain and began sprinting through the streets to vent his frustration.

Unknown to Naruto, a small rock nearby shimmered and vanished.

The Third Hokage, standing there in his pajamas, had his brows furrowed. Hiding from a child was as easy as breathing for the "Professor," and he had been watching closely.

When he saw Naruto approach Minato's head without any paint buckets, he had felt relieved—until he heard the boy mutter, "Not what I wanted," and bolt away.

(What does that sentence signify?)

Hiruzen wondered. The confusion only grew. As the supreme ruler of a military organization, he knew the best course of action:

"Send a report to Jōnin Inoichi and Shikaku."

He would dump the psychological analysis on his subordinates and finish his elderly sleep first.

The Academy Administration :

After working at Ichiraku and being praised by Teuchi—who promised to let him start simple cooking tomorrow—Naruto headed to the Academy. Instead of the training grounds, he went to the Administrative Area.

(Time to get my ration bars.)

The Academy provided daily ration bars for students from poor backgrounds or orphans.

Previously, Naruto never took them. First, his classmates in Class-A were mostly clan heirs or rich kids who would laugh at "losers" needing free food. Second, he had desperately wanted to be accepted by those same kids.

Naruto walked up to the counter and pushed his enrollment papers toward a retired, elderly staff member. "I would like to redeem my daily ration bars."

The old man stirred, looking up from a green-covered book—the Icha Icha Holy Bible. He saw a kid in a white T-shirt and dark-blue pants, wearing a half-face mask. "Take off the mask, kiddo."

The old man's eyes widened as he read the name in the papers: Uzumaki Naruto.

Looking back Instead of the expected round, stupid face, he saw a boy with sharper features and subtle whisker marks. Something in the boy's voice felt... authoritative.

(Let's just get this over with, a job is a job )

the man thought, pushing five bars across the counter.

"Can I get more?" Naruto asked.

"Only five more," the man grumbled, tossing another set over. "If you're caught selling these, the Hokage will personally punish you."

Naruto collected his things and headed toward the empty training ground, munching on a bar.

( quiet Efficient ,Being disliked has its perks...........doesn't taste good )

The old man watched him leave, a flash of sadness in his eyes.

" If only it wasn't the Kyūbi… my family would've had a grandson your age."

Even knowing the truth—it was still hard.

Having lost his family in the disaster, it was still difficult to face the Jinchūriki calmly.

As the current Naruto walked, he felt no shame. He unwrapped one and bit into it.

Dry. Chalky. Salty.

It was the culinary equivalent of eating a brick of compressed protein and vitamins. However, as the bite traveled down, his Internal Strength skill seemed to hum in approval.

His body, long neglected by a diet of only instant ramen and the occasional treat from Teuchi, hungrily absorbed the dense nutrients.

(It's not about the taste,)

Naruto thought, his eyes hidden behind the steady gaze of his new persona.

(It's about efficiency. If I'm going to train my body to the level of the Eight Inner Gates, I cannot afford to be a picky eater. I need calories. I need density.)

After Training the whole day , naruto tired and fatigued reached his apartment building—a weathered structure that sat like an island of neglect in the middle of a bustling village.

He climbed the stairs, the wood creaking under his sandals. Entering his room, he didn't throw his sandals off in a mess. He placed them neatly by the door.

The apartment was still quiet, but it no longer felt empty. It felt like a base of operations. Naruto laid the 9 ration bars on his newly cleaned counter, lining them up like soldiers.

Beside them sat the fresh groceries he had purchased: eggs, green onions, a small bag of rice, and some soy sauce.

Naruto looked at the small, one-burner stove. He realized that for all the "Naruto" of the past had lived here, this kitchen had rarely seen the flame of a real meal. It had only ever boiled water.

(Time to change that. Internal Strength... let's see what you can do for a mundane skill like cooking.)

Naruto washed his hands meticulously. He took out a small bowl and measured the rice. wash rice until the water ran clear to remove excess starch . Next came the knife work. He pulled a small kitchen knife from the drawer.

Within seconds, a pile of perfectly uniform green rings sat on his cutting board.

He cracked two eggs into a bowl. He noticed the slight tremor in his hands from his earlier physical training—the muscle fatigue setting in.

( it's ok )

He beat the eggs until they were a seamless golden liquid.

He heated the pan, adding a drop of oil. The sizzle was a siren song of progress. He poured the eggs in, and as the bottom set, he used his chopsticks to roll them carefully, creating a simple Tamagoyaki.

Naruto plated the rolled egg next to the steaming rice and topped it with the green onions. It was a humble meal, but as he sat down at the table—back straight, mind clear—he felt a new sense of accomplishment.

"Itadakimasu," he whispered to the empty room.

The first bite was transformative. It wasn't just the salt or the protein; it was the realization that he was taking control of his own biology. He wasn't waiting for the village to feed him or for a grandfather to check on him.

The Hokage Office :

While Naruto slept a dreamless, efficient sleep, the Hokage's office remained a beacon of light in the dark village.

Sarutobi Hiruzen sat behind his desk, surrounded by reports. He looked at the one Inoichi had submitted an hour ago. It was a psychological deep-dive into the "Transformation" of Uzumaki Naruto.

---------------

Report Extract: > Subject demonstrates a sudden shift from 'Attention-Seeking' (Class A behavior) to 'Strategic Low-Key' (Class S behavior). His use of the Transformation Jutsu to navigate the village suggests a high level of social trauma processing.

However, his continued interaction with the Ichiraku staff suggests he has not reached a state of complete detachment. Recommendation: Continued observation without interference. Direct contact may trigger a defensive 'masking' response.

--------------------------

"He's right," Hiruzen whispered, rubbing his eyes. "The boy is hiding. But he's hiding in plain sight."

Shikaku Nara, who had been invited for a late-night strategy session, sat on the sofa, nursing a cup of tea.

"It's not just hiding, Lord Third. Look at the logistics. He's collecting Academy rations. He's working at a ramen shop for a wage. He's training in the dead of night and early morning. He's behaving like a Genin on a long-term deep-cover mission."

"In his own village?" Hiruzen asked, his heart heavy.

"Especially in his own village," Shikaku replied. "To him, Konoha has always been diificult place . Now, he's just stopped shouting and started infiltrating "

The Hokage looked out the window toward the Hokage Rock. "He was at the Fourth's head today. He said... it wasn't what he wanted."

"Maybe he isn't looking for a legacy," Shikaku mused. "Maybe he's looking for something . And he's realized that painting a face on a rock doesn't give it to you."

The Uchiha Grounds :

The next morning, Naruto jogged toward the border of the village, slowly pivoting toward the closed-off Uchiha Clan Grounds. He looked at the gates, still draped in yellow tape and prohibition signs.

(The greatest clan in the world, finished by their own...) Naruto thought silently.

He didn't view Itachi as a hero or a villain

Genius or not , no Matter how strong a Pawn is , In the end it will only move according to the King ,

Since the beginning Itachi's so-called choice was never his but a cold, calucalated choice made to benefit

 The Village

Danzo

Uchiha Obito

and Black Zetsu

The Uchiha clan was plotted , not just by danzo but also the whole collective interest of the powerful people .

(Itachi wasn't a choice-maker , He was a pawn ........A pawn moves at the king's command.)

A genius who moved according to the King's will—whether that King was Danzo, Obito, or the village interests.

Uchiha Itachi and Shisui

A Genius without his will is Just a tool just like most Shinobi

(And that's why I will become the King, even if I have to act like a fool for now.)

He stepped inside the boundary.

Naruto kept his face neutral and began his jog back toward Ichiraku.

In the Hokage's office, Hiruzen watched the crystal ball with bloodshot eyes. "Ugh, my back..." he muttered. First the Hokage Rock, now the Uchiha district. Naruto was sightseeing the entire village, road by road, before heading to work.

"One thing after another," the Hokage sighed. "The village is peaceful, but my heart is anything but."
