Synopsis
When Logan died, he believed his journey had ended. But fate had other plans. He awakens in a completely different world—one filled with ferocious beasts, forbidden zones, and humans far stronger and stranger than those on Earth. Realizing that the weak cannot survive here, Logan trains relentlessly, determined to protect his younger siblings and the orphanage director who raised him. Years pass, and he finally reaches the peak of his cultivation… or so he believes. Everything changes when he uncovers a truth that shakes him to his core. “So… according to you, I’ve only reached the Planetary Level?” Logan asks the virtual woman hovering before him. “Correct,” she replies with a mischievous smile. “And without my guidance, you would never progress beyond this point. So, are you ready to accept me as your master?” Logan can only sigh. So this entire time, he has been living inside the world of Swallowed Star—a universe countless times more dangerous than he imagined. “Don’t worry,” the woman says gently. “Become my disciple, and I will guide you all the way to Immortal.” With no choice and much to protect, Logan accepts. Now begins his true journey—one that will take him from an orphanage in a deadly world to the unimaginable peak of the universe.

Chapter 1 - Vast Universe, Reincarnation & Logan

POV:

The universe is vast, filled with countless mysteries. There are many things in this world that defy all logic.

Take luck, for example. To most people, it is an enigma. No one truly understands how it works, or whether it even exists—yet ninety-nine percent of humanity believes in it.

Just like luck, reincarnation is another mystery, spoken of in various mythologies. The odd thing is that it is said to occur only after death. That means we cannot experience it while alive, and once we die, there is no way to return and share that experience.

Maybe… that is simply how the universe operates.

According to several mythological texts, the soul is indestructible, while the body is just a vessel. When the vessel dies—whether from age, disease, or unexpected tragedy—the soul enters the cycle of reincarnation again. But after rebirth, the soul forgets everything about its past lives.Perhaps that is why people dismiss it as myth. The words are written in ancient books, yet no scientific explanation exists to confirm them.

Besides… how advanced is human science, truly? Certainly not enough to challenge the laws of the universe.

Even so, the inability to prove reincarnation has never stopped humans from imagining it.

That curiosity—so natural to our kind—gave birth to countless fantasies. Though unexplained, reincarnation stirred opinions, theories, and imagination, leading many to write stories about it.

They were criticized, of course. But who could ever stop an author from writing? And it wasn't as if they had no supporters. Over time, those stories became bedtime tales for children.

Children who listened to those stories began yearning for reincarnation themselves. They wanted to experience it… though deep down, they knew it was impossible.

I was one of those children. I once longed to experience reincarnation. But as I grew older, I finally understood why people doubted it. My own desire faded with time.

Yet a single event revived that belief entirely.

My death.

End.

In the middle of a wide grass field, a herd of massive cattle—resembling oversized cows—grazed lazily. A little distance away stood a huge tree, its shadow spread wide as if planted solely to offer shelter from the sun. Beneath that tree lay a young boy, sleeping soundly. He wore simple, clean clothes, and a straw hat covered his face.

Even with his face hidden, the two wolf-like ears poking out from beneath the hat were impossible to miss. And just beside him, curled up lightly, was a fluffy white tail.

Suddenly, the boy's ears twitched. Sensing something, he lifted the hat off his face and sat up. His features were still immature—clearly those of a child—but his deep blue eyes added a striking charm beyond his age.

No sooner had he opened his eyes than a shrill voice pierced the quiet field.

"Logan! Logan!"

In the distance, a small figure was sprinting toward him, kicking up grass as she ran. Her speed was impressive—she would reach him in less than a minute.

"What a pain…" Logan muttered, recognizing the voice immediately.

Within moments, the figure stopped in front of him. It was a young girl, around ten years old. Her appearance resembled Logan's, but instead of wolf ears and a fluffy tail, she had two rounded ears and a striped tail like a raccoon dog.

"What happened? Why are you running and yelling like that?" Logan asked, his tone softer now.

"Come back with me—quickly! Otherwise we're dead!" she hissed urgently, grabbing his hand without hesitation.

The seriousness in her voice startled Logan. "Why? Did something happen?" he asked, his expression turning grave.

"You! Big Sister is back," she snapped.

Her eyes filled with resentment as she glared at him. She had always been diligent and hardworking—until she met this boy. Ever since then, her once-disciplined mind was tainted by the corruption of laziness. The poison of slacking off had seeped into her bones, and she blamed only one person: the devilish boy beside her.

"What!?" Logan jumped to his feet. If something bad had happened at home, he would have been merely worried. But this—this was different. His entire life was now in danger.

How could he just be worried? He needed a plan to survive.

Just as Logan was desperately thinking of a way out, a sudden gust of wind swept across the field, making both him and Julie shiver.

"Wait… how can there be such a strong wind in midsummer?" Logan muttered, frowning as a sense of dread crept up his spine.

He lifted his head—and froze.

High above them, a figure hovered in the sky, standing on an enormous sword. The newcomer was clad entirely in red-and-black armor, their presence oppressive enough to make the air itself tremble. As Logan stared upward, the figure turned their head, clearly noticing him.

"What are you looking at? Hurry up!" Julie snapped, tugging on his hand impatiently.

"Julie…" Logan lowered his gaze slowly, his voice trembling. "We don't need to go back. She's already here."

Thud!

A dark silhouette crashed down from the sky, landing with such force that dust exploded outward in a ring. When the dust settled, the armored figure stood before them—the same terrifying person Logan had seen floating above.

"Hahaha!"A loud burst of laughter echoed through the field—but it was clearly not the laughter of a man.

"So, you brats were slacking off here, huh?" the voice teased. As she spoke, the helmet covering her head melted away like liquid, revealing a stunning face. Her features resembled both Logan and Julie, but with two sharp wolf-like ears and a long gray tail swaying behind her, she looked every bit like a fierce war-maiden.

Before either of them could react, her fists came crashing down on their heads.

"Aaahh! We're sorry, Big Sister! We won't slack off again!" the two cried, clutching their heads in pain.

"Hmph! If I catch you slacking again, next time you'll get more than just my fists." She warned sharply, glaring at both of them.

"We understand, Big Sister!" they answered in unison, kneeling like frightened little soldiers.

"Good. Now move your asses and follow me."As she spoke, the massive sword she rode earlier drifted down from the sky. It was large and wide enough for both Logan and Julie to stand comfortably on.

"Big Sister, are we really going to fly!?" Julie asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The pain on her head had already been forgotten.

"Hmph! Of course." Big Sister snorted proudly, lifting her chin.

"But… what if we fall off?" Julie asked suddenly, worry replacing her excitement.

"Idiot. Who is our Big Sister?" Logan said quickly, terrified of another punch. "She's a peak Ninth Level Telekinesis Master. How could we possibly fall?"

Hearing this, Julie blinked, then nodded. Yes, that makes sense.

Meanwhile, Big Sister lifted her chin even higher, basking in the praise.

This brat knows how to talk. Very good. I should give him a reward… maybe personally guide him in his martial arts later, she thought proudly.

Logan, wiping imaginary sweat from his forehead, had no idea that the Big Devil herself had just decided to train him.

If only he knew what kind of "reward" awaited him.

"Okay, enough of your meaningless chatter. Get on—quickly." Big Sister said, a wide smile spreading across her face.

Hearing her command, both Logan and Julie hurried onto the sword. The moment their feet settled, she flicked her hand, and the massive blade lifted smoothly into the air.

"Hold on tight, brats," she warned, extending her arms toward them with a playful yet dangerous grin. "I'm about to speed off."

Both Logan and Julie grabbed Big Sister's hands tightly. A moment later, the sword shot forward, propelled by an immense telekinetic force.

"Wow…" Julie breathed, her eyes widening in pure awe as the world opened up beneath them.

Below stretched the vast and untamed wilderness of the Otto Country. Its size covered more than half the entire nation, earning it the nickname 'Wild Boy'. Although large portions of the wilderness were calm, fertile, and even suitable for living, not a single human settlement existed there.

The reason was simple—Ferocious Beasts.

These were small but terrifying groups of powerful creatures that roamed the wilderness freely. Unlike ordinary wild animals, Ferocious Beasts possessed strength far beyond anything natural… and they attacked humans on sight.

But the wilderness also held countless natural treasures—rare herbs, spirit plants, mineral veins, and many other resources of immense value.

Because of this, humans had established several bases around the outer edges of the wilderness. Over time, a new profession emerged—the mercenaries. These mercenaries frequently ventured into the wilderness to hunt Ferocious Beasts and gather the natural treasures hidden within.

Recalling everything the teachers at home had drilled into him, Logan let out a long sigh.

When will I get to explore that wilderness?Even after being reborn into a fantasy world, he still had to study hard. If he didn't… he would be punished mercilessly by Big Sister.

He sighed again, wondering when the day would finally come when he could set foot in that vast, dangerous land.
