Lilly stood at the edge of the fifth floor, her hands trembling as she checked the rope one last time. The knot was tight and secure. It had to be. This was her only escape from the parents who had lied to her for as long as she could remember.
She wrapped her fingers around the rope, knuckles turning white.
'Please let me land alive.'
