"Kea… Don't push yourself too hard. Your body isn't built to deal with this alone."
"I'm sorry I didn't notice you there." I stood back up, balancing myself again.
"I had something I wanted to talk about, I'll tell you at the table, I guess."
She nodded, not leaving my side as I walked to the dining table.
"Ok, I'm listening." She gleamed.
"Ok. Following the recent events, I'll be returning to my parents' place for a bit." he hesitated. "This will happen over the winter break, so I won't be around during that."
I didn't like the idea of leaving for such a long time, but it was what I had to do. I would just have to deal with it.
She put her hands around mine. Looking me straight in the eyes. "I said I wouldn't leave you during this, didn't I?" Her gaze was piercing. But not strong.
"I don't reca-"
"If you're going, I would request to come too!" She exclaimed.
"Wai-"
"I will hear no protest, Kea! Plus, I want to meet your family!"... "They seem like interesting people."
I… This can't really happen, can it? I'm sure my parents would love this, but… Can I really afford to have them make false assumptions about us…
Can I really… Fall-... Have I? My head was a scramble of emotions and feelings; I couldn't think of any structural chain of thought.
"Ok! That leaves us with a week! Stay tuned, Kea!"
