Regardless.

The objective had been over-fulfilled.

Now.

It was time to let these denizens of the universe witness the infectious power of the Giants of Light.

'Ruan Mei' looked at the six downsized Giants of Light standing before her.

They had mimicked human forms, taking on humanoid appearances. However, their faces clearly shared several similarities with Ruan Mei and Herta.

"Mothers, what should we do next?"

Newborn lives are always lost in a state of confusion. After all, up until now, they possessed only theoretical knowledge and had never engaged in actual combat. Instinctively relying on their creators was a perfectly normal situation—especially when those creators were geniuses.

'Ruan Mei' saw that neither Herta nor the original Ruan Mei had any intention of speaking. Thus, she took the initiative to say:

"We are your creators, but we are not your kings. I will not command you directly. I will only offer you suggestions. What to do and how to do it—I hope you can make those decisions by following your own hearts."

Zero-I and the others looked at each other.

To be honest, they did have many ideas. During these past few days, while 'Ruan Mei' and the others were buried in research, they had been frantically absorbing knowledge to understand this world. However, Zero-I felt they should at least ask for their mothers' opinions; after all, these were geniuses certified by Nous.

She hadn't expected the first words out of her mouth to be an invitation to just go out and do it themselves.

'Ruan Mei' saw their hesitation, thought for a moment, and added:

"Can you tell me what ideas you have?"

Zero-I exchanged looks with her companions, then took a step forward and said:

"Mother, we discovered a very... terrible nation. The Talac Federation. They were once an empire controlled by a royal family, ruling over multiple star sectors. Later, they went through two consecutive regime changes, but the entire nation only became worse and worse. We want to change it."

Zero-I found it quite inconceivable.

A massive nation had undergone two regime changes, with three different groups of people in the ruling class. Yet, the lives of the ordinary people only became more miserable.

The original Empire was just a place where nobles liked to commit absurdities and collect high taxes, causing public unrest. The later Constitutional State was led by a self-replicating machine swarm that seized power, only to replace all production and personnel with machines, forcing ordinary people to mine the corona in stellar mines.

Finally, there is the current Federation. After kicking out the Prime Minister and the King, everything must be purchased. The President is now even planning to charge for air; everyone's right to breathe must be purchased from the Federation.

She couldn't understand what those sitting in high positions were thinking. She only knew that this error needed to be corrected.

'Ruan Mei' had no impression of this Talac Federation. But since the Giants of Light chose it over all those other zealots out there, then this Federation must surely have its "extraordinary" qualities.

"My suggestion to you is this: go and take action. Do not blindly believe in us. On this brand-new Path, you are the pioneers. Just go and do what you believe is right."

'Ruan Mei' raised her hand and patted Zero-I's head.

"I believe in your abilities and strength. And I believe that within the Talac Federation, there must still be people worth saving."

"...I understand."

'Ruan Mei's' words put the slightly anxious Zero-I at ease.

Herta leaned back in her chair, head propped up on her hand. With a flick of her small hand, several replicated clusters of Phase Flame floated toward them:

"Take these. Remember to use your brains when you act. Don't be like her—leading a legion and only knowing how to charge head-on."

Herta ruthlessly criticized Baiming's previous campaign against Zhurong.

'Ruan Mei' was speechless. She wanted to say she had just spent too much time learning from Acheron, which led to a preference for cutting people down directly, but Herta would probably just mock her again.

Zero-I thanked her with a smile and absorbed the flame into her body.

Ruan Mei had nothing she wanted to say. Strictly speaking, her interest in the Giants of Light wasn't even as great as her interest in Baiming. She had originally come here mostly because she was attracted to 'Baiming' as an individual.

Of course, things were a bit different now. The Aeon-larva still kept in Herta City was also quite a significant draw for Ruan Mei.

Soon, Zero-I and the others transformed into spheres of light and departed from Herta City.

Just as 'Ruan Mei' breathed a sigh of relief and began to ponder the remaining seven days—wondering if she should go to the Blue Planet for a proper vacation to relax—she saw Herta and Ruan Mei stand up and walk toward her.

"..."

'Ruan Mei', sensing that things were taking a bad turn, looked at the two of them. She instinctively shrank back into her chair.

"What... what are you doing?"

"What are we doing?"

Herta couldn't help but let out a scoff, as if she had heard a hilarious joke. Four mirrors appeared silently in the surrounding space. Herta adjusted her hat and looked down at 'Ruan Mei':

"I'm a person who never holds grudges overnight, but since it's you, I'll make an exception. Now then... it's time we had a proper talk about you impersonating me."

"???"

'Ruan Mei' was instantly covered in question marks. "Didn't you already say you wouldn't hold it against me?"

"Ha, when did I ever say I wouldn't hold it against you?"

"..."

'Ruan Mei' was momentarily at a loss for words. Ugh. This was bad. She was about to be schemed against by Herta!

On the other side, Ruan Mei reached out and tilted up her other self's chin. She lowered her eyes, inspecting her.

"I don't mind you mimicking me. However, since you borrowed my appearance, I don't think it's too much to ask for a little interest, is it?"

Ruan Mei stared straight into the eyes of her other self. Her 'desire' for Baiming wasn't hidden in the slightest.

Not good!

'Ruan Mei' looked at Herta and Ruan Mei blocking her way. She felt a giant "DANGER" sign appear over her head!

Run!

'Ruan Mei' made an immediate decision, attempting to contact the Nihility and sink into the shadows of Void to escape. However, the method that had never failed before was completely useless at this moment.

'Ruan Mei' discovered in horror that no matter how she tried, she couldn't seem to summon the shadows of Nihility. Then Herta laughed:

"Don't waste your effort. Do you think I didn't prepare against the Nihility after you impersonated that Miss Acheron?"

Although she hadn't been certain, Herta had worried that after impersonating someone, Baiming might inherit their abilities. So even though she had specifically designed a set of equipment to suppress the erosion of Nihility, she had been holding back until now.

But!

"Don't forget, we have an Aeon representing hope and miracles right here. Heh, you want to use the power of Nihility to escape?"

Herta raised her hand and pointed at the massive sphere of light currently serving as Herta City's artificial sun, letting out an unceremonious, mocking snort.

"..."

It's over!

'Ruan Mei's' heart instantly turned to ash. She never expected that her own strongest creation would end up trapping her in such a predicament.

"Hiss—can we settle this peacefully?!"

'Ruan Mei' forced a smile, looked up at Herta and Ruan Mei, and blinked. But unfortunately, Herta and Ruan Mei simply had no hearts!! Each of them pinned one of 'Ruan Mei's' arms and smiled simultaneously.

"At this very moment? Are you joking?"
