The treatment for Jingliu went essentially as planned.

The medical protocol derived from consulting Ruan Mei was highly effective. Naturally, the bizarrely intensified impressions that had accumulated over the years were also subjected to a dampening treatment.

Watching Jingliu's eyes gradually regain their rationality, 'Jingliu' reached out and stowed the Evoltruster away, its light slowly fading. Jingliu stared directly at her, but she did not descend into madness again.

"...Miss Baiming?"

Jingliu looked blankly at the person who was almost a mirror image of herself, her voice trembling slightly.

Hearing this, 'Jingliu' removed her glasses and said with a smile, "It's me. Long time no see, Jingliu."

"Ah... yes, long time no see."

The Mara-struck condition was cured, but the memories of that period remained. Jingliu blinked her eyes, and then, piece by piece, she remembered everything she had done.

The messages she had sent to Baiming. And the words that had spilled out of her mouth while she was attacking her upon their reunion...

"..."

Jingliu silently covered her face with her hands. She really wanted to go back in time and cut down her Mara-struck self right now.

Seeing the tips of Jingliu's snow-white ears turn a deep crimson, 'Jingliu' felt an urge to laugh. "What's wrong?"

"...Those were all nonsense words spoken while I was Mara-struck."

"Hmm, I know."

"Ugh... I truly do respect you deeply, but there was no such... lo—ugh..."

Jingliu's brain was currently stalling; she had forgotten how to speak properly. It was just—she met someone she deeply respected, but because of the Mara and a few "minor" accidents, it had turned into a frantic, psychiatric-tier confession the moment they met.

Jingliu was so embarrassed she could have bored through the floorboards with her toes. Why couldn't the treatment for Mara have just deleted those messy memories as well? She would much rather remember nothing at all.

'Jingliu' couldn't help it; she let out a broad grin. She had speculated on how Jingliu would act once she was lucid, but she hadn't expected her to be this shy. It was quite a stark contrast to the Jingliu in her memories.

She reached out and patted Jingliu's head. "It's okay. I know what the situation was. In any case, it's best that you've recovered."

With that, 'Jingliu' temporarily left the room. It was better not to keep stimulating her, or she really might bore through the floor.

Outside, she found Elio lying on the sofa, yawning. 'Jingliu' asked curiously, "You asked me to cure Jingliu; did you never consider that she might return to the Xianzhou, or that I might take her with me?"

"I indeed saw those possibilities. But regardless of the path, none are as suitable as her staying with the Stellaron Hunters."

Elio looked up at 'Jingliu.' Returning to the Xianzhou was the worst option. A Jingliu miraculously cured of Mara would undoubtedly face the harshest scrutiny from the Xianzhou Alliance. Regardless of whether she gave up Baiming or not, it would result in nothing but constant trouble.

As for leaving with 'Jingliu'... that wasn't necessarily bad, but Jingliu's abilities would go completely to waste. She herself would find such a life difficult to accept and would eventually choose to leave again.

There were, in fact, many other choices: joining the Galaxy Rangers, or perhaps boarding the Astral Express in the future... and so on. Those weren't bad choices either. But Jingliu was a person who kept her promises. Therefore, she would stay.

Looking at Elio's mystical, "all-knowing" act, 'Jingliu' suddenly felt a spark of curiosity and asked, "Elio, can you see where the Masked Fool Sparkle is right now?"

Elio stared fixedly at 'Jingliu.' "Even if I told you, it would be useless."

"Why?"

"Her whereabouts are erratic; she runs all over the universe. You can't catch her by chasing her. And even if you did, you wouldn't achieve the result you want. You're better off following your own plan."

The reason Elio had made contact with 'Jingliu' was, in fact, largely because he truly could not understand this person. For example, before yesterday...

In the future with the highest probability he had seen, Baiming would roleplay as Herta again in one month, go to Herta Space Station, and participate in a certain project. Then, after encountering an assassination attempt by the Lord of Silence targeting Herta, she would face off against the Lord of Silence.

Even in lower-probability branches, she would transform into a Giant of Light and head to the Land of Light to do something.

But after the two of them returned from the outside yesterday, the images Elio saw changed.

In one month, Baiming would roleplay as the Masked Fool Sparkle and drop several "bombshells" onto the Interastral Network. As for the Lord of Silence? She had temporarily vanished from the images of Baiming's future.

This possibility of roleplaying as Sparkle had never appeared before. It was just... Elio simply couldn't figure it out. How exactly did 'Jingliu' do it? She could manifest brand-new possibilities out of thin air, and then turn a non-existent possibility into the most probable future in one fell swoop.

He had been observing her for two full days now. But he could see nothing. He truly felt he had met his natural enemy.

This was also why Elio was dead-set against revealing the script. Because of her, his future was visibly going to fall into countless emergencies requiring last-minute script revisions. Just thinking about it gave him a splitting headache. And she expected Elio to show her the script? Keep dreaming!

'Jingliu' couldn't see Elio's inner disdain, but based on his words, following her own idea seemed viable. That was good enough.

Besides, the Astral Express still hadn't set sail. On the day the Express finally took off, perhaps the videos she posted could go viral all over again. And with her cryptic, profound lines, Himeko might be greeted by the gaze of the entire universe the moment she starts her journey.

Ah— 'Jingliu' thought that scene sounded quite amusing. She opened her phone to start drafting the video while suddenly asking, "Oh, right, Elio. Do you know when the Astral Express will set sail?"

Hearing this, Elio nearly lost his composure. "...Who is the prophet here, me or you? Do you even realize how ridiculous that question sounds coming from you?"

"What? You can definitely see it, right?" She reached out and grabbed Elio by the scruff of his neck, pulling him over.

"How can I just spoil something like that randomly!"

"It's not that serious. I'm just asking for the time. I don't plan on doing anything."

"How should I know what you want to do? Give up; I am absolutely not telling you." Elio twisted his body to break free from 'Jingliu's' grip.

He couldn't see through 'Jingliu's' future, so he had no idea what would actually happen. Therefore, he chose to keep his mouth shut. Especially regarding critical intelligence like the departure time and route of the Astral Express. He would never say it. Otherwise, who knows what this person might do?

'Jingliu,' however, thoughtfully rubbed her chin. Does Elio mean he can't see through my future? Really? Is it because I'm constantly drawing new cards?
