KINGDOM OF AETHORIA:
SORA:
As the sun rose for the day, a new day with a goal in my mind, to become strong not for me but for my wife. I woke up and tried to move but couldn't..why? I looked at my other side and saw Dranelia laying on my arm and using it as a pillow. A faint smile tugged my lips.
Imoved her head gently and placed it on the pillow. She immediately dove inside the pillow and fell in a deep sleep again. My heart ached for her as I saw her. I loved her, loved her more than anything.
I stepped out of the bed and went the bathroom and took a bath. Then came out in better clothes and a fresh mind. I knew this day means many things to me. Now I am ready to face the challenges of my new day.
I got out of my room and looked left and right, I saw no one expect some guards and royalty. I stepped out completely and went to the open garden and took a deep breath. I had to meet isyla today so I can train but something was nagging me all night. That is if I train what is the goal of my training. Where would it lead me? These questions were swirling in my mind when I felt a presence behind me.
I turned immediately, and saw Isyla. He looked at me and said "I see you are ready, sora." I nodded "Yes.. I think I am ready.." said I. He looked at me and said "Let's have a walk sora, I have to tell something so you can know why you have to train" I looked at him and nodded because that was the question I was going to ask "Okay.. let's walk then"
Isyla was quite tall, strong and has many connections in the kingdom. I always wanted to ask him that If he became outer guardian on his own choice or was he choosen.
We soon started walking and the silence was broken by Islay himself "Sora.. answer me something, and I want you to be honest" I looked at him, his face was serious and he was looking ahead while walking "Yes. I'll be honest." I simply said. He looked at me.. no.. he gave me a sode glance, that gaze alone gave me shivers I would never admit out loud. Then he spoke again "Do you know why are you here." That made me stop dead in my tracks because that wasn't a question.. it was a statement. A thing that only he knew and I didn't know about me. I shook my head in rejection. He looked at me and said "I'll tell you. But promise me you won't back down"
I felt my heart rate rising, something was odd about the way he was speaking. Something was already telling me that whatever he was going to say will change everything I know.
I nodded again and then he turned to me completely and started speaking "Sora, listen very carefully. I assume you know about the great war of gods" I nodded again, it almost felt my body was doing things which I didn't wanted to but I stood my ground and kept my eyes locked with him. He nodded once and spoke again "Sora.. that war wasn't just between gods. The god of light and darkness, both stood against the absolute being and trued to kill his majesty"
I felt that I was going to throw up. My heart was racing so much that I was starting to think that he might be hearing my heartbeat. I looked at him and said "K-killing the Absolute being?" My words came out weak and fragile.
Isyla looked at me with sympathy in his eyes. He placed a hand on my shoulder and said "The absolute being was saved by the god of knowledge and then he wrote somethings in a mortals fate. He gave us Aethoriaians some indication to know the mortal which is marked by the absolute being"
This...is unimaginable. I was starting to tremble. The marked one, wrote in his fate, the absolute being. This wasn't some normal thing.. I was told by a man many years ago that I have a very hard future. He meant it.. bloody old bastard.
I spoke " Isyla.. what do you mean by wrote in someone's fate?", isyla looked at me and said "Listen.. I know you are afraid. Everyone here in aethoria is afraid. You are afraid, your wife is afraid but the thing is sora.. you are the only hope. The absolute being choose you. A mortal, who has flaws but never gives up."
That gave me hope. That I am choosen because I am a mortal. I spoke again "okay.. I'm starting to think.. this isn't about something small"
Isyla said "Indeed sora. The indications told us that a human and a dragon girl will come to aethoria after tem thousand years and here you are with your wife" . My wife.. yes he's talking about Drenalia, it means she was always in my fate, that's a relief.
I was starting to get it now. The absolute being choose me because I was a mortal and I had flaws but they never stopped me. I kept moving. Yes.. I did.. at Nirixian Republic.. after my banter with elythara many years ago which wasn't friendly.. broke me. I was starting to get used to her presence now but when she said she was getting sick of me. I felt my heart getting torn apart. I was so broke and felt so fragile that moment. But I didn't let that get to me. I kept moving and now.. I'm here, in aethoria, with a beautiful wife. Isyla then told me that he wil be training by evening, and we'll be doing some basics for now he told me to go back to my room or explore the kingdom or the palace. I gladly accepted.
As sora, accepted isyla's offer of exploring the kingdom and wandering around. He found many people giving him an appropriative nods, he was starting to feel more confident by the passing second.
While in the skies, in the heavens the upper counsil rumbled with excitement and cheers. This was their moment to be happy and indeed it was because the great war will now open to the people and they will know what was the cause of the war.
While in the endless darkness kf the void amd abyss god of darkness, raged and was starting to get angry by the passing second, he knew if that mortal succeeds by telling people that it was all a game from the start it'll be the end of his terror and his empure shall fall. While god of light.. was frozen in place, clearly sensing the change happening in the world and he wasn't able to stop them now. It all was coming back to them.
With that.. sora was now more than confident and brave. He knew he has a goal in his life now and he'll succeed not for himself but for his wife and the people who lived in the darkness for so long.
Note: okay so this will be the greatest plot twist chapter. I'm changing pace and starting to get more and more things so they can help me during this journey. I'm pretty enjoying myself here.
