Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 Preparing to Conquer the Wicked God, Anxious Miko

The next day, the group gathered at Miko's house.

Yurikawa Hana held up her phone, looking at the photo she took that day at Sanko Valley Shrine, cold sweat pouring down her face.

In the photo, Yurikawa Hana was excitedly hugging Miko, while a gigantic, bizarre fox-headed, beast-bodied, nine-tailed monster was lurking behind them.

Yurikawa Hana pointed at the bizarre existence and asked:

"So, the incense money we offered before was to worship this thing?"

"Damn it, that money was enough for me to buy several daifuku!"

Miko had a black line over her head. Is the incense money the problem right now?

She even offered 1000 yen!

Hachishaku-sama looked at the photo, and her usually calm expression began to twist slightly:

"That's the monster!"

"Its current appearance is nothing more than a disguise!"

Miko strongly agreed. She had witnessed this wicked god devouring another evil spirit; it was absolutely hideous.

At the time, she had only taken Koha to Sanko Valley Shrine because a terrifying evil spirit had been constantly pestering her.

Yotsuya Touko looked at everyone's reactions and said:

"Perfect then, today we will eliminate this menace for the people!"

"An existence like that doesn't deserve to be a deity!"

Today, Touko changed out of her housewife attire into an outfit suitable for movement—tight, high-stretch pants on the bottom—as if she were a different person.

She looked at Kamishiro Yu:

"Yu-kun, we'll rely on you to lead us in eliminating this menace this time."

Kamishiro Yu nodded. With his Tang Dao tucked into his waist, he exuded an air of bravery and fearlessness.

A team of one man and four women naturally drew attention while traveling.

However, ordinary people usually couldn't see Hachishaku-sama... Through the mountains and forests, Kamishiro Yu moved as if on flat ground, with Yotsuya Touko close behind.

Yurikawa Hana couldn't help but say to Miko:

"Miko, why does everyone seem to have such great stamina!"

Miko replied calmly: "Just exercise more!"

Yurikawa Hana cupped the "big white rabbits" in front of her chest:

"But carrying them makes exercising difficult!"

Miko looked at her "big white rabbits," then looked down at her own chest, and her face darkened.

Seeing her swaying gait, Miko felt intensely defeated.

But it was true. Last time the two of them came here, it was like being in prison; they were exhausted before even reaching the shrine.

This time, I might have been contracted by Senpai Yu, so it's much better.

Suddenly, she saw the two people leading in front stop, unsure of what had happened.

Kamishiro Yu looked into the forest:

"Come out, hiding is useless!"

A young man with medium-length hair touched the round hat on his head and emerged from the bushes:

"Let me introduce myself, my name is Rōmu."

"I advise everyone not to go up to the shrine."

"Last night, the fox god up there went berserk."

He assessed the composition of the group.

As a genuine psychic, he couldn't see through the young man leading them.

Furthermore, besides the exaggerated evil spirits, the others didn't seem capable of directly confronting that fox god.

Kamishiro Yu looked at the kind person blocking their way and shook his head.

The shrine's rampage was likely due to the destruction of the contract that the evil fox spirit had left on Miko after he contracted with Yotsuya Miko yesterday.

A guaranteed prey was snatched by someone else, so it must have made it quite furious.

He pointed at the shrine and said:

"Today, I'm here to eliminate that fox spirit."

Rōmu listened to the young man's words and suddenly felt like he hadn't understood.

As a psychic who had been trained by a shamaness since childhood and was known as a "child prodigy," he had no confidence at all, so what kind of confidence did this young man in front of him possess?

Moreover, his master's master had already become one of the Divine Servants under the fox god.

He looked at the person in front of him, who didn't seem to be joking, and couldn't help but sigh, stepping aside.

As the saying goes, good advice is wasted on those destined to die, but perhaps next time, if that fox god absorbs this group of people, it will become even stronger!

He thought there would be no hope of freeing his grandmaster then.

Perhaps he still needed to find an opportunity to follow them, to save whoever he could!

..."Hoo~"

Finally, they arrived. Yurikawa Hana gasped for breath, her large breasts heaving.

Miko was now immune to body-shaming attacks.

Her mind was filled with the terrifying image of that evil god.

Kamishiro Yu stood at the very front, his gaze sweeping across.

The vermilion torii gate in front of them had faded to a rusty brown, with "Sanko Valley Shrine" written on it.

At the torii's location, a residual barrier remained, maintaining a faint divinity.

The path leading to the main shrine was still dilapidated, with weeds growing between the stone cracks.

The shrine's tiled roof had collapsed, the offering box was worn, and the stone fox statues on either side faced each other across the path.

The difference was that the left statue's front paws still maintained an elegant squat, but moss grew out of its cracked ears; the right statue was much more tragic, with half its body shattered into dust.

But equally eerie, the corners of both fox faces were split all the way to their ears.

Kamishiro Yu looked at the shrine in this state and couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth; to manage to run it into such a state was truly something.

Perhaps before Miko and Koha came, this evil god hadn't received any offerings for who knows how long!

He stepped out with his left foot, directly crossing the boundary line of the torii.

An eerie sound of copper bells instantly assailed them!
