Back then, the Land of the Cherry Blossoms was preparing for a major international event. Through my Japanese clients, I was fortunate enough to get involved.
This event aimed to revitalize the economy, reminiscent of the glory days of the 1960s. Consequently, there was an unspoken rule: all projects had to be undertaken by companies from the Land of the Cherry Blossoms. My little sampan somehow got to participate, albeit just as a small glove worn by the large trading corporations!
Besides corporate gifts, I had also secured the brand authorization for Austrian crystals, running retail businesses in mainland China and Japan, with over 300 self-operated counters and distributors combined. We also had our own factory in the Land of the Cherry Blossoms.
However, no flower stays red forever. A nightmare was quietly approaching…
