Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Discovering Wild Ginger

She quickly ran over, squatted down, and carefully identified it, discovering that it did look like wild ginger, but she didn't dare to be certain.

She found a sharp stone nearby and cautiously dug up the soil, revealing the ginger inside.

It wasn't buried deep, and soon the whole ginger was excavated.

Its shape was a bit like an adult's palm, thick and plump, covered with dirt, but it was undoubtedly wild ginger.

She felt extremely excited.

Ginger is a great thing; it can be used as seasoning and to dispel the cold, especially during the chilly winter. A hot cup of ginger soup at night could be so comforting.

This patch of wild ginger had at least a few dozen plants, each growing very robustly.

Ginger doesn't spoil easily, so it's fine to dig a bit more.

After confirming it was wild ginger, she started working hard and placed the dug ginger in the basket on her back.

Though this patch of wild ginger looked abundant, there wasn't much once she actually started digging.

She selectively dug up all the well-grown ones, leaving the less developed or immature ones to continue growing.

After finishing the excavation of this wild ginger patch, she collected about twenty plants, which would last her for a while.

She was sweating profusely; even her back was drenched, and the beast skin skirt was stuffy and hot, sticking to her skin, making her very uncomfortable.

Luna Sutton looked up at the sky. The sun was gradually rising. She estimated it was around 11 in the morning, no wonder it was so hot.

Sweat trickled over the pimples on her face, itching terribly, and she struggled to resist scratching it.

But seeing her muddy hands, she grimaced and let it go.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a creek not far away and walked over.

She squatted by the creek, washed her hands, and scooped some water to wash her face, instantly feeling much more comfortable.

Her face didn't itch as much either.

The creek reflected a pockmarked, acne-riddled, and terribly ugly face, and she sighed inwardly.

So ugly, even she felt disgusted.

Luna Sutton thought that she hadn't used her powers to detoxify today, so she might as well do it since it wasn't troublesome.

Palms facing upward, vines emerged and rapidly grew, crawling up to her face.

The green leaves at the top of the vines emitted a glowing green light, covering her entire face, beginning the detoxification process.

She was focused on detoxifying and didn't notice the surroundings.

Just then, a large wolf with emerald fur emerged suddenly from the underbrush.

It was Zeke Veridian, who was hunting nearby.

He originally came for a drink of water and was surprised to see Luna Sutton.

Seeing the vines emerging from her palm, he realized it was the supernatural ability she awakened yesterday, clearly of the Wood Element.

Watching the vines crawling on her face, emitting a glowing green light, he wasn't sure what she was doing.

Confusion flickered in Zeke Veridian's wolf eyes, but he didn't reveal himself, instead watching from the shadows.

Soon, he saw black, dark grime start to emerge on Luna Sutton's face, a thick layer covering her entire face, even blocking her eyes and nostrils.

Even from a distance, he could smell the stench, which disgusted him, and his eyes showed strong disdain.

He watched as Luna Sutton calmly retracted the vines and nonchalantly cleaned the black grime off her face.

As she cleaned her face.

Zeke Veridian clearly noticed that the acne seemed to have disappeared from her face, leaving only pale scars.

So, is this ugly girl using her supernatural ability to treat her face?

Is Luna Sutton's supernatural ability healing?

The witch doctor's ability in the tribe is also of the Wood Element, serving as a healer.

But it seemed different when looking at them.

Zeke Veridian's gaze landed on Luna Sutton's face. Even though he disliked her, he had to admit she looked much better than before, at least not as disgusting.

Of course, she was still very ugly.

After all, she was so fat, which made her look dumb, and she had small eyes, a flat nose, and an absurdly large mouth with buck teeth.

Even if the acne on her face healed completely, she was still an ugly girl.

He didn't stay there long; after taking a couple of sips of water, he quietly left.

Luna Sutton didn't know Zeke Veridian was watching her in secret and left quietly, hating her so much.

After washing her face and taking a sip of water, she felt less hot.

Suddenly, she felt a bit hungry. In the morning, she only ate a few grilled fish and half a piece of grilled meat; it had long been digested.

So she picked a few wild fruits nearby to eat. They were sweet, but not filling, and she felt hungrier the more she ate.

Her craving for meat was strong, but she resisted for the sake of losing weight.

She decided to stick to fruits. Fruits aid in digestion, and since she hadn't had a bowel movement since coming here, she was clearly constipated.

Luna Sutton ate a few wild fruits, rested for a while, and then continued to look for supplies with her basket.

She wasn't picky; whatever she found that was useful or edible, she put in her basket.

Before long, she had filled half the basket.

Most were seasonings and wild vegetables, and she found quite a few medicinal herbs.

There were herbs for colds and flu, and others for stopping bleeding.

She even dug up a few plants of Tienchi.

The forest was rich in resources, and even though she hadn't gone far, she found quite a few good things nearby.

In a large and spacious cave of The Winged Tiger Tribe.

Chloe Callahan sat on a stone bed, staring blankly at the strange and primitive environment in front of her, feeling scared and confused inside.

She remembered trying on a dress in a boutique and then suddenly fainting.

She thought she had been kidnapped and drugged, fearing she would be sold to some remote place.

When she woke up, she found herself in a primeval forest.

She was terrified at the time and even encountered an incredibly huge multicolored python.

She had never seen such a large python before, at least ten meters long and particularly thick.

It was much bigger than any seen in movies about giant pythons.

The multicolored python suddenly surged in front of her.

It flicked its tongue at her, its cold vertical pupils staring at her eerily.

She screamed in fright and almost fainted.

Just when she thought she was about to be eaten by the multicolored python, she was saved by a large White Tiger.

It was a White Tiger with wings.

Chloe Callahan was stunned at that moment.

Oh my God, a tiger has wings and can fly?

Is this a fantasy world?

Then, she saw the White Tiger transform into an extremely handsome and tall man with a piece of beast skin wrapped around his waist, looking very attractive.

Chloe Callahan had never seen such a handsome man before, far surpassing the young male celebrities in the entertainment industry.

Both handsome and charming.

It made her knees weak, her eyes twinkling, dreaming of immediately giving birth to little tigers for him…

Everything happened naturally, and she was taken back to the tribe by this man, moving into his cave.

At the same time, she realized she had traveled to a world of Beastmen.

In her past life, she loved reading Beastmen novels and fantasized about crossing into such a world and being adored by various handsome men.

She never thought she would actually end up here.

In the modern world, she was ordinary in every aspect, so inconspicuous that she never experienced being treated like a superstar.

Now she was in the Beast World, where females were scarce and precious, and could even have multiple Beast Husbands.

Although she looked ordinary, she had fair skin.

Fair skin hides a hundred imperfections.

In this world of mostly dark, rough-skinned Beastmen, her skin tone was the most beautiful.

She was certain to be liked and adored by many Beastmen.

Being pursued by many Beastmen excited her and made her eagerly anticipate it.

Chloe Callahan was so immersed in her beautiful fantasies that she couldn't extricate herself.

Unaware that danger was quietly approaching.
