The rain fell in a fine line, and even standing in the living room, one could hear the raindrops tapping on the flowers and grass in the garden.
Bella dialed the phone, but in her heart, she wondered if Damian had left.
The call connected, and Sharon's voice came from the other end, "Bella, it's raining pretty heavily outside. Are you back yet?"
"Godmother, I'm staying at Grandpa's tonight. I'll come back tomorrow. You and Ethan should go to bed early, don't wait for me."
"Okay. Is Grandpa's health okay?"
"He hurt his leg, but it's nothing serious."
Bella chatted with Sharon for a while before hanging up, and in just that short time, the rain outside had grown even heavier.
Grandpa and the little girl were having a great time over there, but Bella couldn't completely relax. She quietly told the butler, "I'm going out for a bit, I'll be right back."
With that, she didn't wait for the butler's response and quickly left the living room.
