At two in the morning, the sound of a car honking came from outside, and Holly Sawyer knew Leo Grant had returned.
She lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, with the room lights on.
After a few minutes or so, her door suddenly opened, and Leo Grant walked in.
Holly closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep. After a while, the footsteps by the bed grew closer, and Holly held her breath.
The footsteps stopped by the bed, and after a few minutes, a pair of hands gently arranged Holly's hair.
"Young lady, this is the second time I've saved you, or maybe you let me save you a second time to repay a debt."
Leo Grant spoke in a gentle, soft voice, slowly beginning to speak.
"The young lady's identity is not simple, letting me avoid so much danger."
Leo Grant paused and then chuckled lightly.
It seemed he had long known Holly's arrival wasn't by chance, but he never mentioned it, always acting as if he knew nothing.
