Evelyn gave Caden Lockwood a sidelong glance; she had experienced his narcissistic tendencies many times before.
A hint of brightness flashed in her eyes, and her expression quickly became tense.
"I know you're excellent in every way!" She laughed stiffly, "But I'm lazy, stupid, disobedient, I have a bad temper, don't look good, snore, grind my teeth, and pass gas when I sleep. I'm uneducated, mischievous, oh right, the fortune teller even said I'm unlucky for my husband! It's simply a waste for a man as outstanding as you to be with me!"
Her face turned gloomy; having to lie like this to belittle herself felt truly unfair.
However, as long as he would divorce her, she would endure any injustice!
Caden Lockwood lowered his eyes, looked Evelyn up and down, then softly spoke: "Then I'll do a good deed and let you continue to torment me."
