Evelyn hesitated, wondering whether she should greet Finn Lewis or pretend she hadn't seen him.
After all, she didn't want to have any more ties with him.
After thinking it over, she looked away and prepared to enter the school.
"Evelyn!" Finn called out to her, "I have something to talk to you about."
Evelyn stopped, feeling a bit awkward, and looked at Finn, wanting to speak, but nothing came out.
Finn walked up to her and asked, "Can we talk?"
"Is there something you need?" Evelyn asked.
"I..." Finn hesitated for a moment before continuing, "I blamed you last time because I was angry, but I'm here to apologize. It was all my fault, please forgive me, and don't hold it against me."
Seeing the panicked expression on Finn's face, Evelyn felt that his apology seemed to have a deeper meaning.
"What happened?" she asked confused, "That matter is long past; you don't need to dwell on it."
"You don't blame me?" Finn asked anxiously.
