Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Return

In the dim and oppressive Ruins World, with black mist lingering, Jiang Hou appeared out of nowhere at the edge of the shattered giant creature's skeleton, cautiously surveying his surroundings.

There were no monsters, nor people.

Very well, Jiang Hou quickly took off his clothes, placing them under a rock and marking the spot.

There was no other way. When transforming into a Giant Ape, the clothes would be stretched to shreds, wasting a set each time, and Jiang Hou didn't have that much money.

Although Qin Buyi's salary and benefits were decent, supporting two high school students was still a significant burden, especially since both would be attending college next year, so the Qin Family saved every bit they could.

"So poor," Jiang Hou lamented.

Roar! A deep and resonant roar exploded, vibrating the air, as a Black Fierce Ape over five meters tall appeared, its eyes cold, filled with savage brutality.

Jiang Hou, now transformed into a giant beast, clenched his fists, feeling the immense power emanating from them, feeling a strange sense of liberation.

It seemed to be more comfortable as a giant beast!

Roar! The Black Giant Ape shook its head, shaking off the strange thoughts in its mind, then looked up towards the ruins where the Black Ant Ferocious Beasts lingered.

During the day, Jiang Hou discovered that in his human form, his digestion speed also increased, allowing him to absorb and convert more energy from food.

Yet the energy converted from three meals a day didn't even compare to a small piece of Black Ant monster meat.

Those Black Ant Beasts didn't seem strong, but their flesh was incredibly high in calories or energy, making Jiang Hou feel that eating one Black Ant Ferocious Beast was akin to eating an elephant.

Therefore, after some thought (a few seconds), Jiang Hou decided to enter this dangerous world again.

The reason was simple: he wanted to become stronger.

Before yesterday, Jiang Hou originally thought that he would live this life just like the last, get into college, graduate, work, and then pass through an ordinary life.

But now his destiny had changed.

He wanted to seize the opportunity to become stronger, strong enough to take control of his fate, to decide his own life and death, rather than continue in a daze.

On the ground, the Black Giant Ape trudged heavily across the ruins of a building, cautiously exploring further back.

With black mist shrouding the surroundings and limited visibility, he couldn't just wander recklessly because he couldn't be sure if a terrifying life was lurking within the mist.

Such as the monster that instantly killed Jiang Hou at first, recalling it still sent a chill up his spine.

That monster was very strong!

Yet the Black Giant Ape's caution seemed redundant, as he advanced several kilometers without seeing any monsters, not even a single wilted weed.

This scene left the Black Giant Ape somewhat puzzled, wondering what those monsters in this barren world survived on—air?

Puzzled, the Black Giant Ape climbed a hill, where the view changed, revealing a forest below.

The forest consisted of black trees of varying heights, some towering up to one or two hundred meters with crowns spreading wide, while shorter ones stood tens of meters tall with thick trunks without leaves, and twisted branches.

The forest too was filled with the black mist, its size unknown.

But none of that mattered; what mattered was the sight of several Black Ant Ferocious Beasts below, their slender bodies and ferocious heads inexplicably feeling a bit familiar to the Black Giant Ape.

However, the Black Fierce Ape didn't charge recklessly but continued observing for a while longer, only standing up slowly after ensuring there were no other monsters.

Boom!

The ground cracked, forming enormous footprints, and with the recoil force, the Black Fierce Ape leapt skyward, smashing heavily at the foot of the hill.

Bang! The powerful impact raised clouds of dust, as the four Black Ant Ferocious Beasts let out anxious roars, just as a robust black hand reached out.

Crack! One of the Black Ant Ferocious Beasts' heads was directly crushed, its dark red blood splattering, staining the Giant Ape's hand red.

The immediate death of their companion ignited the eyes of the other three Black Ant Ferocious Beasts in a crazed fury as they lunged at the Violent Ape that appeared before them.

Roar! An even more vicious roar exploded.

The body of the decapitated ferocious beast was swung, striking one beast flying while the Black Giant Ape flipped to brace with its heavy shoulders to meet the two other Black Ant Ferocious Beasts leaping through the air.

Bang!

The three ferocious beasts slammed fiercely into the tree trunk, the powerful force causing the sturdy tree to shudder, and the bodies of the two Black Ant Ferocious Beasts exploded like watermelons.

With a single impact killing two beasts, the Black Giant Ape, half of its body now stained red, slowly turned its head, looking at the struggling Black Ant Ferocious Beast trying to get up in the distance, bending its knees.

Roar! The Black Fierce Ape leapt high, its massive form crossing over a dozen meters, landing a foot on the ferocious beast that had just gotten up.

Squelch!

The Black Ant Ferocious Beast, over three meters long, flipped end to end, its middle bursting with flesh and blood, its four legs and two claws momentarily struggling in midair before going still.

Suddenly, the forest fell silent.

All that was left was the Black Giant Ape raising its foot slowly, bending over to grab the ferocious beast's carcass, and tearing into it with its mouth.

On the Black Giant Ape, streams of dark red blood pooled, flowed, and dripped down the black fur, the scene genuinely bloodthirsty and brutal.

The vibrations and roars of the battle just now only traveled a few dozen meters before gradually dissipating.

This was also the reason the Black Giant Ape dared to move so boldly; last time, it noted that the black mist absorbed vibrations and insulated sound.

Crunch, crunch!!

The Black Giant Ape chewed on the soft bone of the ferocious beast, producing crisp sounds, while waves of warmth spread from its stomach throughout its body, its form visibly enlarging.

Moreover, this growth wasn't just in size. The Black Giant Ape's body density increased accordingly, becoming heavier.

Soon, the parts of the bodies with flesh from the four ferocious beasts were devoured by the Black Giant Ape, leaving scattered bones and some internal organs on the ground.

Actually, these parts weren't low in nutrition either, but the Black Giant Ape had a psychological block against the colorful intestines, unable to stomach them.

Phew!

The Black Giant Ape exhaled a hot breath, the energy converted from the flesh and blood having expanded its body size by a circle, its height increasing by about ten centimeters.

The muscles became more resilient, filled with explosive power.

Though the defense was a bit lacking, after all, the Giant Ape's skin couldn't compare to scale armor.

Not enough, it needed more. Feeling the even more powerful force within, the Black Giant Ape looked towards the depths of the forest, its eyes gradually turning red, increasingly savage.

With heavy steps, the Black Giant Ape walked into the forest depths.

Soon, the roars of gigantic beasts and the howls of ferocious beasts sounded. A few minutes later, the Black Giant Ape sat on the ground, tearing a Black Ant Ferocious Beast's carcass in half.

Before it, five more Black Ant Ferocious Beasts' carcasses were piled, dark red blood flowing down from the bodies, forming a winding stream.

Against the oppressive atmosphere of the forest, sitting under the black trees and devouring the flesh voraciously, the Black Giant Ape inexplicably appeared somewhat terrifying.
