The Emperor glanced at the Ninth Princess and asked, "What's so interesting about that? If you want to see her, won't you meet her at the palace banquet during the festival?"
The Ninth Princess tugged at his arm, shaking it a few times, and said in a coquettish voice, "I'm just curious. I wonder what this Qin Family's daughter is like, being able to hold Marquis Gu's heart in the palm of her hand. Besides, Seventh Sister is already going—why can't I go too?"
The Emperor couldn't escape her pestering, so at last he nodded his assent.
"Go if you must, but don't cause any trouble. Your Crown Prince brother's health hasn't been good lately. Your mother is already displeased. Don't make her worry."
The Ninth Princess sighed.
"Crown Prince brother's health hasn't been good for days and days now. Mother's worries are nothing more than Empress Dowager again..."
The Emperor shot her a look, and the Ninth Princess immediately fell silent.
