"Director of the Hospital? Not Doctor Li?"
Qin Yuan was confused, not knowing what Marquis Gu was planning.
Hong Ye nodded.
"Yes, Director of the Hospital goes to see Sixth Madam every day. Marquis orders people to keep watch, after Director finishes with Sixth Madam, he's invited to the study. The servant waiting outside overheard that they wanted Director to check Marquis's pulse."
Qin Yuan: "..."
Wasn't it agreed that if the Emperor didn't approve his request, he would pretend to be sick?
Now that Director is checking his pulse, he'll see Marquis is healthy and robust like an ox, won't he?
This isn't right.
Qin Yuan really wanted to ask Marquis Gu what game he was playing—did he change his mind again?
Voices sounded outside once more, this time Mrs. Cai came to ask about arrangements for the mourning hall and scripture platform.
