It's said that ones birth is signified by the appearance of a new star in the night sky, and their death similarly results in the disappearance of said star. Such has been the order of the cosmos since time immemorial. Some say one's star is akin to one's guide through life, it represents their talent and , the brighter they shine, the more impressive said persons life will be.
However, on one chilly night, in the azure clan's central and outer area, something inconceivable happened, the wife of the clan leader gave birth to a girl whose star shook the cosmos. Its very existence outshone all, such that the room she was in was bathed by a blinding light filled with twinkling stars. The old lady who was an appraiser was knocked unconscious when she tried to look at the baby.
It should have been a joyous event but the clan leader knew that ones talent was akin to their downfall, and the events of the night would by tomorrow morning be widespread. Also it didn't help much that the light was seen through out the entirety of the whole Sandy Reign city. He knew he had to act fast but this wasn't the only strange thing to occur on that night.
On the outskirts of the outer compound, a place where only the lowest members of the clan resided, some being exiled from the central area, others being external members who joined the clan through marriage without much background to their names. The wife of one of these men also gave birth but in contrast to what transpired at the clan leaders house, there was a commotion for a different reason. The boy was born with flame like markings on his left hand no star ever showed up. Thinking it a mere coincidence the appraiser tried to gauge his talent but got nothing in response.
The clan leader quickly got news of this while still thinking of a solution to his own predicament and immediately after, a creepy smile surfaced on his face. Without much delay he secretly went to the house of the so called cursed child. When he arrived he quickly killed the parents and all those who knew of the child, which was way too easy for someone of his power.
"Looks like the heavens still look down on your lineage Danny" the clan leader spoke without a hint of remorse in his voice.
Immediately after a shadow landed right behind him, his head lowered filled with the utmost respect and said, " its done My Lord,no one will ever know of tonight's events".
The clan leader's gaze still fixated on the child responded , "Well done Sid, your loyalty will be greatly rewarded"
The shadowy man, Sid, bowed his head even lower and said, "My lord such actions aren't necessary, my purpose in life is to serve the family and....."
Whoosh
Before he even finished, his head had already separated from his body, his face still filled with his respect for the clan leader, oblivious to the betrayal he had just succumbed to.
" Your loyalty is what earned you a quick and painless death", the clan leader responded with nigh a shread of guilt in his voice.
Turning towards the child who was crying without anyone paying him any attention, the clan leader spoke arrogantly
"Yes, you'll do just fine."
And with that, the man vanished as though he never existed with the house also disappearing from reality, forever.
