Dexter and Ana had walked an awful long way in the inner consciousness.
Dexter had seen a lot of fears and of course had killed them all.
"Hey Ana, why are there so many fears?" Dexter asked.
From what he remembered he didn't have all these fears.
"These fears could come have come at anytime, it could have been a little jump scare or a real fear but as long as you never overcame it, it would stay here." Ana explained.
Dexter and Ana had gone a long way and at this point Dexter was already at the professional level.
"It seems this inner consciousness is going to be smooth sailing from he...." He hadn't completed his sentence as he saw a dark mist coming towards them.
"What is that?" Dexter asked Ana.
"Insecurity, Low self-esteem and Self doubt." Ana replied.
Dexter froze, he thought he had overcome these fears but it seemed he had not.
When the dark mist was within range, Dexter saw three beasts running towards him.
Now Dexter was at the professional level, he could now create an armor that could cover his body.
The insecurity fear was the first thing that reached him, and then he started to hear whispers in his ear.
"You are not good enough."
"Who do you think you are thinking you can defeat me."
Those were the kind of things that Dexter was hearing in his ear.
Dexter did not hesitate and spread his willpower across his body.
His body then began to shine blue as he tried to protect himself from the fear.
He didn't even have enough time to counteract the insecurity fear and low self-esteem came up to him.
"What is the point you wouldn't win anyway."
"Can you even win, just give up."
Low self-esteem fear also came up to him and began to whisper in his ear.
It then became even more difficult for him to fight against both of them.
And as if things couldn't get any worse self doubt joined in.
"I can't do what is the point."
"I can't fight them, they are more powerful than me."
Dexter didn't even know when he started whispering what they were saying.
He took back his armor and all the weapons he had summoned.
Ana saw that the fears were about to attack him and just ignored them.
They were getting closer and closer.
"Come on do something." Ana thought but Dexter made no move, he just sat were he was.
Ana knew she couldn't help him during this time but also had this nagging feeling that she should help him.
Dexter still sat there whispering to himself.
"I am nothing, I am worthless." Just when the fears were about to attack, Dexter saw a shadow in front of him.
"You are not worthless, you have been through a lot and still pulled through, you are the best in what you do and you have to believe that." Ana said while fighting the fears.
Dexter heard what Ana said and it resounded in his mind and soul.
Then Dexter's willpower increased all of a sudden and he had a huge outburst of willpower.
"He leveled up without filling his willpower points!" Ana exclaimed in shock.
Now Dexter was filled with a blue aura around him.
He immediately covered his body with armor as he rushes towards the fears.
Ana seeing that he could fight for himself stepped back and let him do his thing.
Now Dexter's willpower was at the master level.
Then he was faced the three master level fears in front of him.
The fears sensing the danger immediately increased the intensity of the whispers.
"Your worthless,"
"You can't do anything right."
"Your a disgrace."
More and more whispers were thrown at him but Dexter didn't bathe an eye.
"Are you done?" Dexter grinned.
Then he attacked, he was so quick that only afterimages could be seen.
In a flash he was infront of the fears.
"I am enough." Dexter said and cut off the head of the insecurity fear.
"I am confident in myself." Dexter said and slashed the low self-esteem fear in half.
Then he saw the the self doubt fear was running away.
He turned his katana into a spear and threw it.
"I am the best I can be." Dexter said as the spear pierce through the skull of the fear.
After that fight Dexter's mind felt more at ease.
"How do you feel?" Ana asked.
"Better." Dexter said, then he paused, he seemed to have just remembered something.
"Hey Ana, why did you help me earlier, you usually don't involve yourself and just give advice."
"I saw you were about to die and had to do something, you die, I die." Ana replied emotionlessly.
Dexter just shrugged, it didn't matter to him.
"Shall we go?" Dexter said and they moved on
