Chapter 68 - Heaven-Defying Abilities From the Exclusive Jar - The Roast Pig Draws All Eyes

Is this the legendary... golden legendary?

Looking at the dazzling platinum jar before him, Felix raised an eyebrow.

He had no idea what could possibly be inside.

"Crack!"

Without a moment's hesitation, Felix decisively struck the jar to break it open.

However, the instant his hand made contact, the platinum jar silently shattered on its own. Two items dropped into his palm.

Two orbs radiating brilliant platinum light fell.

[Intangibility]: After absorbing this ability, you can turn your body intangible and immune to all attacks while in that state.

[Sword Draw Technique]: Draw your sword like thunder and unleash a devastating strike.

"What incredible rewards."

Seeing the two orbs, Felix's eyebrows shot up.

The first ability would make him practically invincible.

As for the second, it was an attack method, but he likely would not have much use for it. Its practicality was nowhere near that of the first ability.

Without hesitation, Felix reached out and absorbed both Experience Orbs.

Instantly, both orbs merged into his body.

In the blink of an eye, Felix fully absorbed and digested them.

The next second, with just a thought, his body began to blur and fade, becoming translucent like a reflection in water, rippling gently through the air.

"An ability involving space-time, huh?"

Feeling the change in his body, Felix smiled.

With this ability, he could now leave the Jar Shop.

Previously, while inside the shop, he was invincible and could suppress anything. But once he stepped outside, he would be nothing more than an ordinary person.

Now, with this power, let alone leaving the shop—he could wander the entire Teyvat continent without fearing any danger.

This is amazing!

Felix could not help but feel overjoyed.

And this was only the first Exclusive Jar.

As long as he sold enough jars, he would eventually unlock a second Exclusive Jar, then a third!

And these jars did not only contain abilities. If something truly heaven-defying came out, that would be even more interesting.

Right now, he was most interested in unique and fascinating items.

Satisfied, Felix reclined on his chair and waited for the next customer.

While Felix relaxed in the shop, Xiangling, who had left the Jar Shop and was walking home, was drawing stunned stares from everyone she passed.

Every passerby, every shopkeeper—they all stood frozen, staring slack-jawed at the roast suckling pig in her arms.

It was unbelievable. Beyond imagination.

How could there be a roast pig that moves?

The rich aroma it gave off spread throughout the entire street. The roast pig sat perched on Xiangling's shoulder, looking left and right with its bright, lively eyes. Everyone who saw it was dumbfounded.

The pig's entire body radiated the rich, savory smell of roasted meat. Golden oil dripped from its skin. It was clearly a roast suckling pig.

But why was it alive?

"What the hell am I looking at? A fully cooked roast pig that can move?"

"That can't be food, right? It must be some kind of animal. How can a roasted pig move?"

"Holy crap, so this is Liyue? It really is different from everywhere else. Even roast pigs are alive here?!"

"My mind is blown. Absolutely blown. What I saw today is enough to brag about for the rest of my life—though I doubt anyone will believe me."

"Same here."

"It smells amazing. I really want to eat it. That smell is just too delicious."

"I just want to go up and lick it once. Just once."

"You don't just want to lick it once, and we all know it."

Everyone stared at the roast pig on Xiangling's shoulder, murmuring in shock. Their faces showed a mix of surprise, disbelief, terror, and sheer confusion.

"Sigh."

Hearing the endless chatter all along the way, Xiangling sighed.

She was beginning to wonder if keeping this roast pig as a pet was the right decision after all.

But this moving fantasy gourmet ingredient—she just could not bring herself to cook it right away. Raising it was better.

"People will get used to it."

Beside her, Chef Mao spoke seriously. "When Guoba first appeared, people slowly accepted him. This roast pig will be accepted with time as well."

"I suppose you're right."

Hearing her father's words, Xiangling nodded.

Soon, they returned to Wanmin Restaurant.

"Guoba, come take care of Little Pig."

Opening the door and heading to the back kitchen, Xiangling handed the roast pig to Guoba and said sternly, "Don't you dare mess around!"

She was a little worried Guoba might try to eat the roast pig.

But since she warned him in advance, and Guoba was usually obedient, it should be fine.

"Lu..."

Hearing Xiangling's words, Guoba nodded firmly, patting his chest as if to say, "Leave it to me."

The roast pig seemed to understand as well. It tilted its head and looked at Guoba.

Seeing it stare at him, Guoba gave a very friendly smile.

"We got some pretty decent items from the jars today. This afternoon, let's make some more instant noodles for tonight."

Chef Mao entered the kitchen and busied himself with preparations. "The noodles are really catching on now. A lot of people are noticing. I'm going to go out and arrange to get a machine for mass production. That will make things much more convenient."

"Mm."

Xiangling nodded.

Suddenly, she remembered something. "Oh, Dad! Didn't you get that coffee drink recipe? Can you make that first?"

She remembered that her father had pulled a Coffee Brewing Experience from one of his jars.

"Right! I almost forgot!"

Hearing Xiangling's reminder, Chef Mao suddenly snapped to attention.

He had been so focused on the instant noodles that he had completely overlooked the coffee.

The main ingredient for coffee was a type of coffee bean, something he had seen before. The beans were common in the market and hardly anyone wanted them.

But with the coffee brewing knowledge now in his mind, Chef Mao's excitement soared.

He knew Wanmin Restaurant could now launch another new drink.

And best of all—it would be cheap and affordable!

"Whoosh!"

Suddenly, a blur shot out from the back room and rushed to Xiangling's feet, quickly scrambling up onto her shoulder.

The roast suckling pig was panting heavily.

Its body was wet with a sticky liquid—clearly saliva.

Seeing this, Xiangling's face darkened.

She did not even need to look to know—Guoba had licked the roast pig and scared it.

Puffing out her cheeks, Xiangling marched into the back kitchen and grabbed Guoba by the ear.

"Guoba! I told you not to bully Little Pig! No licking either!"

"Lu..."

Hearing her scolding, Guoba nodded frantically like a pecking chicken, as if he fully understood.

"If you bully Little Pig again, I won't take you out next time. I'll lock you in a cage!"

Xiangling huffed, then placed the roast pig back in front of Guoba before returning to the front kitchen to work on more instant noodles.

Watching Xiangling leave, Guoba tilted his head and looked at the roast pig. He did not approach it again.

Meanwhile, the roast pig, seeing that Guoba was no longer lunging to lick it, relaxed a little.

Chef Mao also left for a while.

When he returned, he was carrying a large bag of coffee beans.

As the sun began to set, the horizon turned golden, bathing Liyue Harbor's sea in a warm glow.

By the time the sky fully darkened, thousands of lights flickered on across Liyue. The bustling night scene emerged, and the streets filled with even more people.

At the entrance of Wanmin Restaurant, the crowd was as lively as ever. Countless customers lined up.

"Chef Mao, I heard you have instant noodles! Can I get one? I really want to try it."

"My friend told me about them today, so I rushed right over."

"Yeah, Chef Mao, are the noodles really that convenient?"

One after another, customers voiced their interest.

They had all come for the instant noodles.

"Yes, yes, we have them!"

Hearing the customers, Chef Mao grinned. "Xiangling made a batch this afternoon, but the quantity is limited. First come, first served, as usual."

"Great! I'll take one right now."

"Me too!"

"Ah, I'm near the back. I probably won't get any."

Hearing his words, some were delighted while others looked disappointed.

"Don't worry if you miss out today. There will be more tomorrow. No need to panic."

Chef Mao smiled reassuringly.

Time passed, and soon it was late evening. The crowd at Wanmin finally thinned.

After a long day of work, Chef Mao finally had a moment to breathe.

But just as he stopped, he saw a familiar figure—a young girl in black clothing wearing a Qiankun Taigua hat.

"Manager Hu."

Seeing the familiar Hu Tao, Chef Mao smiled. "Are you here to see Xiangling? She's in the back kitchen."

Whenever Hu Tao had free time, she loved visiting Xiangling.

"Yep."

Hearing Chef Mao, Hu Tao grinned and quietly slipped into the back kitchen of Wanmin Restaurant.

At that moment, Xiangling was busy packing instant noodles.

"Smack!"

Suddenly, someone patted her on the back. Xiangling yelped in fright.

She spun around and saw a familiar, mischievous grin.

"Hehe."

Seeing Xiangling's startled reaction, Hu Tao snickered.

"Hu Tao!"

Seeing her friend standing there, Xiangling puffed her cheeks. "You know that scares people to death, right?"

Hu Tao always did this—sneaking up behind her when she was not paying attention, then patting her back and giggling.

"Don't be mad! Look what I brought you this time!"

Seeing Xiangling's annoyed face, Hu Tao smiled and pulled a box of pastries from her sleeve. "Look! I made this plum blossom cake myself, your favorite. Consider it my apology."
