Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 Tell me, who is God!

Bruce threw a straight punch at Mark.

Looking at the attack, which was slower than a turtle, Mark easily caught Bruce's fist.

Before Bruce could understand what was happening.

With a "bang," he felt his entire body being pushed out by a huge force.

Bruce, who had fallen to the floor, instantly felt dizzy and saw countless black dots moving before his eyes.

Clutching his forehead, he stood up with all his might after a moment of confusion, looking at Mark, who had a nonchalant expression.

What just happened?!

Somewhat confused, he glanced at Clark, only to find him with an expression of a bystander, completely oblivious to Mark's abnormal speed just now.

Alright, maybe I was mistaken. Stay calm, keep your breathing steady.

Bruce, having adjusted his mindset, continued to attack Mark.

The punch he threw this time was still easily dodged by Mark.

While dodging, Mark landed a punch on his collarbone.

Bruce felt a pain in his collarbone as if it had been struck by a hammer, and an explosive sensation of pain instantly swept through his entire body!

Before he could retreat, Mark's fist landed another blow on his chest.

With a "thud," Bruce, unable to counter, fell heavily to the ground again.

"Ugh!"

Muttering, he felt his back, where he had been hit, was like an apple split in half by an axe.

He hadn't expected Mark's strength and reaction speed to be so inhuman!

He hadn't even clearly seen how the other party had attacked him!

Opening his mouth, Bruce lay on the floor wanting to say something, but found that only red blood bubbles emerged from his lips.

His lips were wet, as if stuck together.

Reaching up to touch his lips, Bruce discovered that the corner of his mouth was broken.

"You're right, Bruce, I am a god! Gods never bleed."

Mark looked at Bruce lying on the ground, walked triumphantly to his side, "You lost, Bruce, admit it, you're just an incompetent, ordinary poor boy."

He pointed to his own eyes, "Don't come near Dad in the future, and don't even think about scamming money. I'll be watching you constantly."

After glancing at Bruce, who was gasping for breath on the ground, he said to Clark: "Let's go, Clark, let's go swimming."

Bruce clenched his fists, watching Mark's retreating back, and unwillingly uttered, "You will bleed!"

"Who is a god?!"

In the room, Peter asked Mark in an unfriendly tone.

Mark, standing with his head down in the corner, secretly glanced at Peter's displeased expression, then quickly lowered his head.

Taking a deep breath, Mark, whose cheeks were puffed out like a puff-shroom expelling gas, nervously replied to Peter: "You, my Dad, you are the true god."

Peter: "?!"

His face full of black lines, he didn't know where this mischievous child learned such cheeky talk.

After learning from Clark that Mark had given Bruce a good beating, he immediately called for him.

"I am not a god, and you will never be a god, John."

"I know, Dad."

Mark nodded, then mumbled, "I didn't want to be a god, it's just... Bruce said he would make me bleed, and I was led astray by his words."

Peter raised his voice a few notches and stared at him, "You think it's Bruce's fault?"

"No, Dad, I just don't like him."

Mark looked up and told Peter his thoughts, "There's something about Bruce that I don't like."

"What?"

"I don't know how to describe it, Dad, it's like the black on a crow, ominous or troublesome, I just don't like that feeling."

"So you hit him? You used your superpowers to bully an ordinary person?"

"I was wrong, Dad."

Mark immediately admitted his mistake bluntly, "I won't do it next time, I can apologize to Bruce."

To avoid reducing his impression points in his father's mind, Mark made a very sincere suggestion, "Or he can hit me back."

Peter looked at Mark's sincere expression and fell silent.

Let Bruce hit you back, are you planning to exhaust him to death?

Unable to scold him properly due to Mark's words, he could only temporarily give up on lecturing the other party, "Go apologize to Bruce, and you're not allowed to go out for a day; reflect at home."

As he was leaving the room, he suddenly remembered something and said to Mark: "No more conflicts with Bruce in the future, and, most importantly, if he wants to challenge you to a fight, refuse him."

Mark scratched his head, watching his father's retreating back, feeling relieved to have avoided a disaster, but also a little confused in his heart as to why Dad wouldn't let him challenge Bruce to a fight.

Just as Peter finished scolding Mark and was about to go talk to Bruce, he encountered Martian Manhunter walking towards him.

"Peter, something isn't quite right."

Looking at the serious expression of Martian Manhunter, Peter stopped, "What happened?"

"The wildfire is about to reach Smallville."

"That fast?"

Peter's brows immediately furrowed.

"Logically, it shouldn't be possible. The fire shouldn't spread to the town so quickly."

Martian Manhunter proactively explained to Peter: "The spread direction of this 'Karl' wildfire is mainly affected by cold air currents."

"The air currents in Kansas, due to the relatively cold land, will try to enter the high-temperature low-pressure area over the Atlantic Ocean, but between Kansas and Nebraska, there is a towering mountain range blocking the air currents, so the wind will be blocked, and Smallville should not be affected so quickly."

"You mean—"

Peter's expression was grave, "The fire has a human factor?"

"I don't know, but there must be some problem in between, and the government has also discovered this problem."

Martian Manhunter looked at the city skyline outside the window, "They have already taken action."

...

"Take action! Quick!"

"Hurry! Hurry! Get in the fire truck!"

On the outskirts of Smallville, firefighters endured the scorching heat of the surrounding flames, grabbing a man's arm and pulling him onto the fire truck.

The man was accompanied by his wife and two children, and the family followed the firefighters onto the fire truck at the fastest possible speed.

The flames rapidly spread after the family got into the vehicle.

"Quick! Drive!"

The driver immediately started the fire truck, but after starting, the car sped forward for a distance before immediately breaking down.

"Damn it! What happened?"

The driver, ignoring the scorching fire, stuck his head out the window and looked at the car tires, "F*ck! The tires melted!"

The man holding his child covered his son's nose to prevent him from inhaling the thick smoke.

"What should we do?"

He loudly asked the firefighter while comforting his child.

"There's nothing we can do, it's too late, there's no way out."

The firefighter looked at the raging flames outside the window and said despairingly.
