The second Commission meeting was shorter but more intense than the first.
We gathered at a neutral location one of Wei Chen's warehouses in Chinatown. The families arrived separately, each with their own security details, each watching the others warily. Trust was still new, still fragile.
"The Bratva hit the Moretti mansion last night," Dante announced without preamble. "Two dead, message left for Isabella specifically. They're not coming they're already here."
"Do we know how many?" Connor O'Malley asked.
"At least a dozen, maybe more. They're operating out of Brighton Beach, but they've got cells scattered across the city." Marcus displayed a map on a projector. "Here, here, and here. Known Bratva locations, mostly fronts restaurants, nightclubs, import businesses."
"We hit them first," Don DiMarco said. "Hard and fast. Show them we're not afraid."
