Thus, El only needed to prevent the Devil Fruit from reincarnating elsewhere when he killed the previous user—or have Carina take it with her Munch-Munch Fruit—and instead have the Devil Fruit, bearing the previous user's will, inhabit the material capable of carrying that will.
