Chapter 1 - Shinenigans

INTRODUCTION:

Summer camp. The words sounded harmless enough, like sunshine, marshmallows, and maybe a little swimming. But in our case… it was anything but peaceful.

Because somehow, when you mix me—Brian, professional observer of chaos—with Shin, the human embodiment of "what could possibly go wrong?", and Georgia, the master of sarcasm and perfectly timed insults, you're not just going to camp. You're going to experience chaos in HD.

And yes, I mean the kind of chaos that makes you question your life choices while laughing so hard you almost forget the chaos is also probably going to ruin your day.

Three days. One camp. Countless disasters waiting to happen. And me? Well… I was just hoping to survive.

CHARACTERS:

1. Shin, the chaotic ringleader who created GCs like they were art pieces. Chaotic, trio of Fiona and Yanna.

2. Fiona, her warm-hearted, ever-patient best friend. Ex girlfriend of benjamin, because yanna betrayed her for stealing benja. Cute and friendly

3. Yanna, the trio's sarcastic partner-in-crime.

4. Benjamin, calm, dry-humored, and slightly mysterious. Lesbian.

5. Georgia, Benjamin's bold best friend, known for her sharp comments and unfiltered honesty.

6. Brian, the group's laid-back peacekeeper who'd rather observe than argue.

7. Tyler, Brian's boyfriend — quiet, witty, and somehow able to match Brian's vibe perfectly.

8. Finn, Shin's younger brother — the chaotic energy clone nobody asked for but everyone secretly loved. Forever getting cooked by Georgia, had a huge crush on Benjamin.

The car smelled like a mix of old leather, Brian's questionable cologne, and… was that Shin's leftover chips from last week? Probably. Probably everything in that car belonged to Shin, actually. But hey, that's normal. Shin always claimed "chaos is an art form." Brian still didn't fully get it.

"You know we only have three days before camp, right?" Georgia said, smirking, elbow resting casually on the open window. She was always smirking, like she knew some inside joke the rest of us weren't allowed to hear.

"Yeah," Brian muttered, eyes on the road, "and I'm pretty sure Shin already packed like twenty notebooks, three sketch pads, two cameras, and—wait—are those glow sticks too?"

Shin leaned over the passenger seat dramatically, almost spilling a bag of glitter. "Of course! You never know when inspiration strikes. What if we need to document… epic moments?" Her voice was full of mock-seriousness, the kind that made Brian sigh in defeat.

"You mean you're planning to turn the entire camp into your personal art project again," Brian said.

Shin tilted her head, grinning. "Exactly. And you, my dear boring friend, are going to be in it."

Brian groaned. Great. Just great.

Georgia snorted from the back. "I'll bring the popcorn for this mess."

The road stretched ahead, winding like a lazy river, the kind Brian thought was the perfect stage for chaos. And chaos—well, it was basically Shin's middle name.

"You think Fiona's actually going to survive camp?" Georgia asked suddenly, voice sharp, eyes glinting with curiosity—or mischief, Brian wasn't sure which.

Shin gasped dramatically, hand to chest. "How dare you! Fiona is a delicate flower who will blossom beautifully in the harsh wilderness! Unlike some people I know." She shot a pointed look at Georgia, who just shrugged like a cat.

Brian caught it all from the corner of his eyes. Fiona, warm-hearted and patient, was the perfect opposite of Shin's chaos. And Fiona's whole… aura thing? Brian didn't get it, but Shin clearly did.

Meanwhile, somewhere ahead of us on the road, two figures were buzzing along on a motorcycle. Brian squinted. Fiona and… Benjamin.

Benjamin. Calm, composed, annoyingly pretty, with a smirk that made Brian wonder why anyone would even bother with men—because Benjamin clearly didn't need them. And Fiona, looking like the human embodiment of sunshine.

Shin groaned, elbowing him lightly. "Look at them. They're practically radiating plot device energy. I swear, if anything happens to them, I'm suing life itself."

Brian rolled his eyes. "You're going to end up following them the whole camp, aren't you?"

"Absolutely. That's part of the plan. We document, we support… we intervene if necessary." Shin made air quotes like a true chaotic mastermind.

"And by 'intervene,' she means cause extra chaos," Georgia added from the back.

Brian glanced at them both in the rearview mirror. Somehow, they made his life feel like a mix between a soap opera and a nature documentary.

The three of us rode in silence for a few moments, except for the hum of the engine and Shin occasionally squealing over a passing squirrel or interesting-shaped cloud.

"You ready for this?" Brian asked quietly, mostly to himself.

Shin leaned back, hands behind her head, eyes scanning the horizon. "Ready to make summer camp legendary. Ready to create memories. Ready to ruin a few lives."

Brian glanced at her. And somehow, he believed her.

Little did he know, summer camp wasn't just about tents, marshmallows, or artsy chaos. It was about people, feelings, sparks flying in the weirdest ways, and a kind of madness that only Shin could orchestrate.
