In the surreal dreamspace, a tunnel leading back to reality suddenly opened. Harry and Tony stepped out together.
The moment they appeared, a soft, rhythmic set of footsteps reached their ears.
A tall, slender woman approached with elegant poise, gliding out of the shifting light and shadow. Her skin was smooth and luminous like polished jade, wrapped in a dreamy haze. The instant she arrived, she reached for Harry's arm as if to hook it, her voice sweet and coquettish:
"Harry, this time I'm counting on you. If the plan succeeds… then I'll be yours from now on!"
Tony stared, completely stunned.
He had never seen a woman this beautiful in his life.
Even with all his experience, it was obvious: the Dreamqueen's beauty had surpassed the limits of humanity itself.
After all, the Dreamqueen was an energy being. Not only could she reshape her appearance however she pleased—she also wielded a kind of enchantment magic.
That enchantment did nothing to Harry…
…but it could effortlessly affect Tony.
So Tony slowly turned his head toward Harry.
From Tony's eyes, Harry read a single sentence loud and clear:
Holy crap. Is this what you deal with on a regular basis?
Harry's face darkened. He snapped his fingers lightly right in front of Tony's face, and only then did Tony finally shake off the charm and come back to himself.
Now when Tony looked at the Dreamqueen again, she was still impossibly beautiful—still carrying that beyond-human sense of perfection—but at least he wasn't completely losing himself.
Realizing how abnormal he'd just been, Tony instinctively took a step back, staring at the Dreamqueen with open wariness.
He hated the feeling of being manipulated.
Seeing Harry's brows knit, the Dreamqueen immediately understood he was displeased. She obediently reined in her aura, stood up straight, and spoke with exaggerated sincerity:
"Nightmare will arrive soon. I'll lock you two inside a magic prison as bait to draw him in.
After that, I'll completely sever his connection to the Dream Dimension for a few seconds. During that window, you must kill him—completely.
If he doesn't die… my fate will be miserable. Worse than death.
And you won't fare much better either. If we provoke a powerful dimensional demon god again, relying on the Trinity Guardian Array alone won't be enough to hold him back."
Harry had plenty of other contingencies beyond the Trinity Guardian Array, but he didn't bother arguing now.
He simply nodded, calm and steady. "Relax. Guaranteed win."
The Dreamqueen bit her lip. With a wave of her pale hand, she formed a magic cage that looked sturdy and unbreakable—yet was actually something Harry and Tony could shatter whenever they wanted. Then she began contacting Nightmare.
Time trickled by.
A moment later, the dreamspace suddenly warped.
Amid the distortion, an energy entity so enormous it defied imagination—like a moving mountain of living power—slowly stepped out of a wormhole thousands of feet above them, glowing with eerie light, and descended into this dreamspace.
Even before Nightmare fully entered, the Dreamqueen instantly switched into performance mode. Her face turned paper-white, as if she'd expended a catastrophic amount of energy and had become terribly weak.
When Nightmare arrived beside her, she trembled as if crushed beneath unimaginable pressure, her voice thin and frail:
"Father… I've already cast the sealing spell. I successfully captured Harry Potter.
Now, as long as you absorb the chaos magic within him, you can complete the key metamorphosis—your power will enter an entirely new realm!"
But Nightmare didn't surge forward the way she expected.
Its abyssal eyes, lit with cold, ghostly radiance, locked onto Harry inside the magic prison—filled with pure vigilance.
Then Nightmare slowly turned its gaze to the Dreamqueen, its voice low and authoritative as it questioned her:
"Since when did your sealing magic become this strong… that you can seal Harry Potter?"
The Dreamqueen hadn't expected that after thousands of years of careful deception—after working for Nightmare with absolute diligence—he still wouldn't truly trust her.
She clenched her teeth in secret and forced herself to stay calm. She couldn't let emotional fluctuations ruin everything at the final step.
She delivered the excuse she'd prepared long ago:
"Maybe it's because not long ago, he destroyed three-tenths of a hell dimension and spent an enormous amount of power. He doesn't have the strength left to resist my seal."
Nightmare's expression flickered. Then it shrank its body and drifted up in front of Harry, countless wisps of shadowy smoke forming into eyes that stared straight at him.
At the same time, Harry sensed an energy scan sweeping over him, suppressing the chaos magic in his body.
He offered no resistance at all.
Harry didn't believe Nightmare could detect the primordial chaos source within him. And without that chaos source, he was "only" a so-called weakling on the verge of breaking into Skyfather-tier.
A few moments later, Nightmare finally relaxed completely and spoke to the Dreamqueen behind it:
"Well done. You'll be rewarded."
Then it looked back at Harry, its voice hoarse and heavy, like a thousand whispers hissing at once beside the ear:
"Heh… I knew it. Power that can completely destroy a dimension can't be used casually. It has to be accumulated.
Harry Potter—Chaos Controller of the multiverse…
I never expected you'd fall into my hands.
You'll become my nourishment… and help me transcend."
Nightmare raised a hand made of thick, congealed shadow and pointed it at Harry.
Thin strands of crimson chaos magic seeped out of Harry—out of every pore, every cell—like living threads. They arced through the air in eerie, gorgeous curves, then flowed into Nightmare's body.
As the chaos magic entered, an expression of extreme exhilaration spread across Nightmare's high-dimensional, energy-formed face.
The quality of Harry's chaos magic was far beyond what Nightmare had imagined—so much higher than the dimensional energy it had spent ages cultivating and stockpiling.
Just the first few wisps that entered its body held as much energy as everything it had painstakingly wrung out—dream by dream—from tens of thousands of ordinary humans on Earth.
If it could strip every last drop of chaos magic Harry currently possessed…
Then, with chaos magic's incomparable essence, fused with the immense dream power Nightmare had accumulated over long ages, the transformation it had craved for so long would be virtually guaranteed.
While absorbing Harry's chaos magic, Nightmare grinned hideously and said:
"Why resist? Just let me absorb you.
Once I finish my metamorphosis, I'll cut this world's causality—everyone will sink into endless beautiful dreams, isolated from worry, pain, and emptiness."
Tony cursed from the side.
"Damn it—listen to how pretty you make it sound. In the end it's just a fake dream. What you really want is the dream power produced by intelligent life in this universe!"
Nightmare didn't care. If anything, it sounded proud.
"Letting you enter my Dream Dimension and become eternal slaves is the mercy I grant you!
Hahaha—who would've thought this would be so easy? It's almost over!"
And then—
Nightmare suddenly felt a piercing pain in its chest.
Its gaze froze. It looked down stiffly… and saw a slender, pale arm that had pierced straight through its body.
The multicolored radiance that made up Nightmare's form churned violently, revealing its shock and rage.
No matter how it struggled, it found it couldn't move at all.
It immediately realized what it was.
This was its daughter's sealing magic.
And what stunned it even more was this—
When had the Dreamqueen's sealing magic become so refined that she could temporarily seal even him?
At that moment, the Dreamqueen's voice rang out behind Nightmare:
"No, Nightmare. You will never become the strongest dimensional demon god. And this still isn't over.
Nightmare… you control dreams, yet you yourself are trapped in illusion.
The dream you believe in—that's the dream I described to you."
Nightmare strained with everything it had. At last, it tore free of a sliver of the seal and snarled through clenched teeth:
"Dreamqueen… what are you doing?!
I created you! You should be my slave!"
If he hadn't said that, it might've been different.
But the moment those words left his mouth, the Dreamqueen exploded.
Hatred twisted her face as she roared:
"Damn you—I'm not your slave. I never will be. I will always be me!
If we don't kill you completely this time—if I have to keep being that damned dimensional battery…
…I'd rather die!"
Nightmare caught the meaning in her words and laughed loudly, mocking her:
"Hahaha! You want to kill me?
To kill a dimensional demon god who possesses his own dimension—unless you destroy my dimension, I can never truly die!"
The Dreamqueen reinforced the seal while sneering back:
"Heh. Did you forget?
I carry your bloodline. While you're sealed, I can seize control of the Dream Dimension—for a moment."
The instant she said it, Nightmare's expression changed drastically. True fear finally seeped into its voice:
"No… you can't do that!
Without me, the Dream Dimension will be severely damaged. You can't hold it!"
The Dreamqueen didn't answer.
She poured everything into wrestling control away from Nightmare.
When Nightmare felt its authority slipping, it flashed a savage grin and said:
"Then you'd better pray the temporarily chaos-less Harry Potter can kill me completely.
Because if he can't, I promise you'll be begging for life and unable to die afterward.
And with Harry Potter like this, how could he possibly kill me?
Even if I lose all power to resist, at most he can only erase most of my body!"
But at that moment, Nightmare suddenly noticed Harry pulling out three brass canisters from his own pocket-dimension universe.
Harry activated them and set them down right beside Nightmare.
Nightmare's face changed violently.
It recognized those canisters.
They were TVA Reset Charges—timeline-pruning bombs used by the Time Variance Authority. Their destructive power was terrifying.
More importantly…
Even against high-dimensional energy bodies, these bombs could still deal devastating damage.
Then Harry's voice rang out from the front, bright with laughter:
"Haha, Nightmare—this thing's way more useful than a wand!"
