The first thing that hit everyone's eyes was a blazing sword-flash surging up from beneath the surface—freezing everything first, then splitting it apart.
By the time the sword light finally faded, the world in front of them had been remade in only a few seconds.
The rippling river was gone.
In its place was a white, wintry expanse.
Within a radius of several hundred meters, the river had solidified into ice in an instant.
Even more shocking, the river itself had been cut cleanly down the middle. The cross-section was so perfectly flat it looked like polished glass, as if that single strike had literally cleaved the rushing water in two and severed its flow.
Caesar stared at the frozen world, stunned, as if he'd been nailed in place.
Time seemed to stop. After who knew how long, he finally snapped out of it and turned his head stiffly toward NoNo. His voice trembled with shock as he asked,
"Do you know any Yanling that can freeze things like that?"
NoNo was just as shaken. Hearing his question, she blinked herself back into focus. She frowned slightly, thought for a moment, then answered,
"Judgement seems to have freezing properties. It can issue a death command to everything within a range and has a cutting attribute—supposedly it can even form icebergs on the sea.
"So what we're seeing might be the effect of Yanling: Judgement."
Caesar fell silent again, then spoke heavily.
"A high-risk Yanling, Sequence 111… I didn't think Lu Mingfei could use it.
"And judging by how he looked, he wasn't forcing it, either. Using a high-risk Yanling like Sequence 111 didn't even seem to burden him much."
NoNo concluded quietly, "If he can maintain that state… he's already surpassed the Principal."
They went silent again. Hilbert Ron Anjou was known as the strongest dragonslayer—was the title about to change hands?
And it wasn't just them. Others nearby had also noticed the scene that looked like the end of the world.
On the riverbank, Sakatoku Mai wore a tight black combat suit, her figure almost invisible in the dim weather. She held a high-powered scope steady and captured the impossible sight without missing a single moment.
Her red lips parted slightly. Shock still lingered in her eyes as she muttered,
"Hey, Chips… you seriously can't imagine what I just saw."
At the same time, Su Enxi's side was already in chaos.
Through a surveillance satellite, she'd seen the same unbelievable moment in full detail.
"Oh my god!" Su Enxi shouted into the call, voice sharp enough to stab through the line. "What happened to Lu Mingfei? How did he suddenly power up like that?!"
"I don't know." Sakatoku Mai shook her head. "He was normal a second ago. Everything was going according to the Boss's plan, and then Lu Mingfei just exploded with power. Hey, Chips—what did the Boss say about Lu Mingfei suddenly powering up?"
Su Enxi fell into a long silence. Only the faint hiss of static remained. After a long while, she sighed helplessly and said,
"He didn't say anything…"
The moment the words left her mouth, both of them understood: the Boss's silence was an answer all by itself.
In their minds, the Boss had always been the kind of person who calculated everything—like the entire world sat neatly in his palm.
But now, faced with Lu Mingfei's sudden eruption, the Boss chose to say nothing.
That made them uneasy.
Did that mean even the all-powerful Boss hadn't seen this coming?
For the first time, Lu Mingfei had broken away from the life they'd laid out for him.
Just then, Sakatoku Mai spotted a figure bursting out from the frozen sword-scar and immediately said to Su Enxi,
"Lu Mingfei's out. I'm going to keep watching—"
But before she could finish, the Lu Mingfei in her scope suddenly turned his head.
Those brilliant golden eyes—bright as molten gold—met hers through the night.
An overwhelming bloodline pressure slammed into her through that gaze.
Sakatoku Mai jerked hard, and warmth spread inside her combat suit.
She… peed herself from fear.
It was an instinctive response to bloodline suppression. Even a trained fighter couldn't avoid it.
Hearing the tiny disturbance over the call, Su Enxi asked anxiously,
"Long Legs, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. It's just… Lu Mingfei. I think he noticed me…"
Su Enxi: "???"
…
Lu Mingfei asked in his mind, "Harry, what did you just notice?"
Harry pulled his gaze back and smiled. "A girl with really long legs. Yeah… pretty cute, too."
Lu Mingfei: "???"
After flying back to the ship and giving NoNo a small smile, Harry withdrew from Lu Mingfei's body. Before he left, he tossed out one last line:
"Remember what I told you. And remember to be active in the chat group."
Lu Mingfei: "Got it!"
Right then, NoNo and Caesar saw Lu Mingfei step onto the deck. They exchanged a look and hurried over.
NoNo asked first, "Lu Mingfei, what Yanling did you use just now?"
As she approached him quickly, the dress she wore—still carrying faint magical power—fluttered lightly, outlining her graceful figure. Her brows and eyes were striking, her skin nearly translucent in the dim light, beautiful enough to make your breath catch. She radiated a kind of charm that made it hard to look away.
Lu Mingfei's heart jolted. Heat rushed to his face, and he instinctively wanted to dodge her gaze.
But then Harry's earlier words echoed in his head.
He clenched his teeth, forced himself to hold steady, and answered slowly,
"It wasn't a Yanling. It was direct application of the elements."
Caesar: "???"
What did that even mean? Direct application of elements was something only Dragon Kings could do, wasn't it?
Unlike Caesar's shock, NoNo looked at Lu Mingfei with a strange expression.
They'd only exchanged one sentence, but she already knew: the old Lu Mingfei was back.
She knew she shouldn't ask—her boyfriend was right there—but curiosity still got the better of her.
"So… was that really your second personality?"
…
Back in his own world, Harry released the observation runes and sucked in air hard. Remote manipulation like that was a massive drain, enough to make even him feel it.
He hoped that with his help, Lu Mingfei would finally get the girl.
And right then, the two girls in the chat group had already noticed the newcomer.
With a new member joining, they immediately asked out of curiosity.
Nami: New guy's here—hurry up and post a pic!
Audrey: What kind of world are you from? Curious.jpg
But Lu Mingfei didn't respond for a long time, so Harry answered for him.
"Lu Mingfei comes from the Dragon Raja world. Their power system is centered on dragon bloodlines. Compared to your two worlds, their overall combat power is on the weaker side."
Audrey: ???
Audrey: Dragon? Aren't dragons incredibly strong? According to records, every dragon is at least a demigod!
Harry: Not in that world. Their world's energy level is low—its strongest dragons are probably only at the level of an angel in your world. But there are stronger dragons elsewhere. In the multiverse I'm from, any intelligent dragon is a Skyfather-tier powerhouse.
…
After that, nothing unexpected happened in the wizarding world for quite some time.
And near the end of second year, Harry and Dumbledore began preparing the first steps of their plan to influence the wizarding world.
After two years, students from third year and above had built up real combat ability. Some of the best seventh-years could even match Aurors.
All Harry needed to do was lend them magic. While they helped him expand the amount of magic he could control, their own strength would also skyrocket.
By then, Hogwarts would effectively be a powerful magical army.
After exams ended, Harry prepared to return to the multiverse. To Gwen, it would feel like an instant, but for him, it had already been months.
He missed Gwen.
And besides that, he still had serious business to handle—using knowledge from ancient magic, combined with runes, to fully perfect the floating city.
He pushed open his dorm door and stepped out.
The surroundings shifted rapidly. In the blink of an eye, Harry was back in the multiverse.
At the training room entrance, he pushed through and walked out, about to open a portal back to his and Gwen's cozy little home.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning crashed down from above.
Thor came running in, carrying Jane, and stopped in front of Harry in a panic.
"Harry—save Jane!"
Harry raised an eyebrow. He could feel a vast energy inside Jane—something similar to chaos magic, like it could alter reality, yet still fundamentally different.
Chaos magic rewrote rules.
This energy… only rewrote reality.
Harry lifted Jane Foster with gravity magic and fed her a life potion. When the pallor drained from her face and color returned, he asked, confused,
"What happened to her?"
Only after Jane seemed stable did Thor finally exhale and explain,
"Not long ago, she was possessed by the Reality Aether. If a powerful person was infused with Aether particles, they could even unleash tremendous strength.
"But Jane is too weak. She can't endure it. If we don't deal with it, she'll die from her body failing.
"Harry—can you pull the Aether particles out of her?"
"Wait," Harry pressed. "What are Aether particles?"
"They have another name," Thor said grimly. "The Reality Stone."
"The Reality Stone?" Harry's eyes lit up.
A brand-new energy source.
Nope. He had to get his hands on it.
Thor's wife was basically his wife—Jane was absolutely getting saved.
