The little girl had the same cloudlike silver hair as Fleur, which let Harry confirm her identity. She was Fleur's younger sister.
Fleur's words confirmed Harry's guess as well. "Harry, please help me. Save my sister too. I can give up my points."
Even if Fleur had not asked, Harry would have saved her sister anyway.
Harry's figure shifted, and he swam toward Hermione and Fleur's sister. Inside the merpeople village, many merpeople were patrolling with spears in hand, but when they saw the magical dragon Harry had transformed into, they all cried out in alarm and immediately fled the village.
Merpeople were intelligent magical creatures. They understood right and wrong, recognized danger, and once they realized something could not be done, they would immediately abandon the task. Right now, they had only been hired by the Ministry of Magic to guard the "treasures" taken from the four champions. And not only were these not real treasures, even if they had been actual jewels, that still would not have stopped the merpeople from running.
Was this job supposed to be worth their lives? The commission could not possibly have paid that much. That was a legendary dragon, and it looked like it could cast spells too. With a body a hundred meters long, they were no match for it at all.
So obediently giving up the treasures was clearly the correct choice.
Harry went forward, extended his other claw, and directly grabbed Hermione and Fleur's sister. He wound the water current around his palm, eventually forming an oxygen-filled bubble. After the two young witches entered the bubble, they soon woke up.
They opened their eyes in a daze, and what filled their entire field of vision was an enormous magical dragon. Staring at the dragon's mouth full of sharp teeth and its savage horns, both young witches were terrified.
Why was this happening?
Hadn't they been chosen as treasures for the second task of the Triwizard Tournament?
Why had a dragon suddenly appeared in front of them?
What species of dragon was this?
And why had it appeared in the Triwizard Tournament arena?
All kinds of doubts filled the two young witches' hearts, leaving them both frightened and confused. However, compared with Fleur's younger sister, the older Miss Otter was clearly more rational and braver.
She quickly looked around and saw Fleur in the other dragon claw. That made her freeze for a moment, and a guess immediately formed in her mind.
Once Hermione had that guess, she immediately raised her head and looked up. The ferocious dragon snout was terrifying, but perhaps it was her imagination, because that dragon snout seemed to curl into a teasing smile.
It was precisely that smile that allowed Hermione to confirm her idea completely.
That was right. Why would a hundred-meter-long dragon appear at the bottom of the Black Lake? Were the Ministry of Magic's Aurors all useless?
So there could only be one truth.
This dragon had not always been at the bottom of the Black Lake. It had only just appeared. This dragon had been transformed from some powerful wizard, and among the four competitors, there was only one champion who possessed magic this powerful.
Hermione puffed out her cheeks slightly and said unhappily, "Harry, you're scaring me again!"
Harry was not surprised that Hermione had discovered his true identity. With Hermione's understanding of him, it was only natural that she would recognize him.
At this moment, after hearing Hermione's words, Fleur's sister finally snapped out of her daze. She asked in shock, "What? This dragon is actually a wizard, the Harry Potter my sister always talks about?"
Harry chuckled softly, and the sound rumbled loudly through the water. Then he slowly accelerated and rushed toward the surface of the Black Lake. "Let's go. I'll bring you out now!"
Harry moved upward quickly. The dragon's wings only had to flap gently, and the elemental runes engraved on his scales merged with the water flow, stirring up a powerful propulsion force. He continued to accelerate at a pace that would not make the three young witches in his claws uncomfortable, and soon reached an extremely high speed.
Only a few seconds later, he saw four figures above him. They were Cedric with Cho Chang, and Krum with a young witch Harry was not familiar with. The two of them were racing, fighting to be the first to reach the surface and win this task.
But the two of them suddenly stopped. They seemed to sense something and hurriedly looked downward. In the next moment, fear appeared on their faces.
Damn it, what was going on?
Why was there a dragon below them?
They were terrified and used all kinds of magic to accelerate, but their speed still could not compare to even a fraction of the dragon's. Soon, they were caught up. Just when they thought they were about to lose their lives, they suddenly realized the dragon did not even bother to look at them and continued toward the surface.
And just as the dragon brushed past them, they stared in astonishment at the three beautiful figures in its claws. One of them was Hermione Granger, whom Krum had once invited but failed to impress. Beside her was an unfamiliar little witch. The final person, however, was someone they knew very well. It was actually Fleur, one of the four champions.
They saw Fleur smiling as she proudly waved at them. Then she turned into a streak of light and shot toward the surface.
Krum and Cedric looked at each other, both casting questioning looks at the other. The moment they saw each other's expression, they both understood that the other one had no idea what was happening either.
Could this dragon be Fleur's doing?
They quickly rejected that idea. As expected, it had to be Harry Potter.
Only that magical wizard could possess such powerful magic.
In the blink of an eye, Harry was only a few meters from the surface.
The next moment, he broke out of the water. His entire body did not stop, but continued flying into the sky. After he reached a height of several hundred meters, perhaps because of an impulse from his bloodline, perhaps because of the instinct brought by his powerful physique, or perhaps simply because of a fleeting thought, Harry suddenly let out a roar from an ancient dragon.
Roar!
The deafening roar resounded across heaven and earth, echoing again and again, drawing the attention of every wizard present. That roar announced the appearance of a dragon, and at the same time, it announced that the winner of this task had emerged.
Before the dragon even broke through the surface and appeared before the many wizards, the enormous dark shadow underwater had already attracted their attention.
The sharp-eyed Fred screamed, "Wait, look at that! What is that thing? It's huge, and it's rushing toward us!"
George cried out as well, "Oh my God, that must be a giant lake monster! Harry won't be rammed by that monster and eaten, will he?"
Ron said unhappily, "How could that happen? Harry is so strong, even if he runs into a lake monster, he can easily defeat it. And where did you two see a lake monster? Why can't I see it?"
As soon as Ron finished speaking, the enormous creature burst out of the water, sending waves more than ten meters high surging upward. The waves rushed quickly toward the wizards in the stands as though they were going to sweep them into the deep Black Lake.
With their lives at stake, many wizards immediately acted, but most of their spells struck the waves without stopping them in the slightest.
However, the greatest white wizard of the age, Dumbledore, was also in the stands. His expression was calm. He merely waved his wand gently, and the surging waves that approached like a natural disaster seemed to crash into something invisible and indestructible, stopping right there.
As Dumbledore waved his wand again, the invisible force pushed the waves back, forcibly pressing them into the Black Lake. With that, the crisis ended. But the colossal creature floating hundreds of meters in the air also appeared before the many wizards, causing everyone who had only just stopped screaming to let out another wave of heart-rending cries.
"Ah! A dragon! Why is there a dragon here?"
"Good heavens! How can there be a dragon this huge in the world? Aren't the largest dragons only a dozen meters or so?"
"Where did this dragon come from? This is the Triwizard Tournament arena! What on earth are the Ministry of Magic's Aurors doing?"
The many wizards fled outward amid the chaotic shouting. Faced with such a huge dragon, even Dumbledore's protection could not give them any sense of safety.
But just as they started running and had only made it a few meters, Dumbledore suddenly used the Sonorous Charm and shouted loudly, "Everyone, do not be afraid. This dragon is not an enemy. He is Mr. Potter, transformed."
Dumbledore had enormous prestige among the wizards. Although many of them were still terrified, they all stopped one after another.
However, some people still did not believe Dumbledore's words and questioned him. "How is that possible? Transfiguration cannot transform someone into a magical creature. Even ancient magic could not turn someone into a hundred-meter-long dragon, right?"
"That's right, that's right. Especially since this dragon is clearly no ordinary creature. Look at the runes on its scales. This dragon has obviously been modified. It might very well be the work of some powerful hidden Dark wizard."
Dumbledore did not continue explaining. Instead, he looked up at the dragon overhead and called out in exasperation, "Harry, restrain yourself. You're frightening them. Come down quickly."
Harry respected Dumbledore very much, so of course he would not refuse Dumbledore's suggestion. He slowly descended and landed on the shore beside the Black Lake. After that, he placed the three young witches from his claws onto the ground, and his body quickly began to shrink.
Only after they saw Harry's figure emerge from within a glow of light did the many wizards finally believe that this dragon really had been Harry's transformation.
They could not help feeling somewhat helpless. Was this still the Triwizard Tournament?
The other three champions had clearly only used ordinary methods. Even the special method had merely transformed the upper body into an ordinary little shark. Why were you so outrageous that you transformed into a dragon to compete?
Damn it, did you really have to go that far?
This was only the Triwizard Tournament. It was not some magical war affecting the entire wizarding world.
A short while later, Krum and Cedric also rushed out of the water and arrived on the shore. They put down their partners, and after hearing their friends explain what had happened, they looked at Harry with complicated expressions.
At first, they had been somewhat dissatisfied when other people believed Harry was stronger than them. But as they gradually came to understand Harry, they finally discovered that Harry was not merely stronger than them. They clearly lived in the same world, but it felt as though they were wizards from two different worlds.
Harry Potter was truly absurd.
The Ministry of Magic wizards discussed the matter for a long time. Only after quite a while did Ludo Bagman step forward and address the spectators.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have finally reached a decision. The merpeople chief has told us everything that happened at the bottom of the lake exactly as it occurred. We have decided to score each champion based on a maximum of fifty points.
"Although Fleur Delacour demonstrated a very strong mastery of the Bubble-Head Charm, she was attacked by grindylows when she approached the target and was rescued by Harry Potter. We award her twenty-five points.
"Cedric Diggory also used the Bubble-Head Charm. He was the second to return with his hostage, so we award him forty points.
"Viktor Krum used Transfiguration. Although it was incomplete, it was very effective. He was the third to return with his hostage, so we award him thirty-five points.
"As for Harry Potter…"
Here, Bagman paused, reorganized his words, and only then continued.
"He was the first to return, and he performed an extremely outstanding form of ancient Transfiguration, turning himself into a hundred-meter-long magical dragon and winning with ease. In addition, when Fleur was in danger, he also rescued Fleur, preventing this poor young witch from being harmed. More importantly, he had no obligation to save Fleur's sister, but he still did so.
"Although this act was very easy for someone of his strength, we still must praise him for it. Therefore, after our joint discussion, Harry Potter receives full marks in the second task, which is fifty points."
As Bagman's voice fell, deafening cheers erupted from the entire crowd. The many wizards could not have been more satisfied with this result.
After the match ended, Hagrid invited Harry and the others to visit his hut.
Near dusk, the edge of the Forbidden Forest was filled with hazy mist, making it impossible to see anything ten meters away. Hagrid was very familiar with this place, so the mist did not affect him at all. He led Harry and the others toward his wooden hut, chattering endlessly along the way, constantly hoping that Harry would transform into a magical dragon again and let him have a look.
Harry knew Hagrid had always wanted to raise a dragon, but for all sorts of reasons, that wish had never been realized. In fact, before transforming into a dragon, Harry had already expected this situation. Sure enough, Hagrid had latched onto him.
But Harry was always generous with his friends, so he smiled faintly and said, "Hagrid, Dumbledore reminded me not to use ancient magic casually inside Hogwarts. If you can persuade Dumbledore, I can transform for you. Of course, if you don't mind, we can go to some deserted corner during the Christmas holiday and leave Hogwarts. I can transform for you there, and I can even teach you photography magic."
Hagrid was extremely excited. He instinctively eliminated the first option, because even he was quite in awe of Dumbledore. So he chose the second option, tightly gripping Harry's hand with his huge hand.
"Then it's a deal, Harry. In a few days, we'll go to the nearby forest. I think you can use ancient magic freely there. And of course, you must teach me that spell. I'm so excited my whole body is shaking. I really can't wait."
Harry was not surprised by Hagrid's reaction. Hagrid loved magical creatures too much, and his favorite creatures were dragons.
Just as Harry was about to answer, his entire body froze. In his perception, there was a human-shaped figure lying beneath a distant tree.
