Chapter 343 - Chapter 343: Killing a Few Hundred Dark Wizards

Violette's body trembled slightly, and her tightly furrowed brows slowly relaxed.

She opened her eyes, and silver-white light reflected in her pupils.

The once-chaotic aura inside her gradually stabilized. The silver magic roaming over the surface of her body seemed to have found its destination, flowing gently along her fingertips and the ends of her hair before finally merging with her perfectly.

When the last wisp of silver light sank into her body, the magic circle beneath her feet suddenly lit up, then turned into countless points of light and scattered into the air.

Violette lightly landed on the ground, her whole body bare. A soft silver glow shimmered across her exposed skin, reflecting beautifully against her long pale-gold hair.

She moved her fingers, and silver magic gathered at her fingertips, forming a tiny flower of light before vanishing without a trace.

"Thank you, Harry."

Her voice carried the weakness of someone who had only just recovered, but it was filled with joy. "I never thought… I would be able to stand here so peacefully."

Violette's talent was simply too powerful. Ever since she awakened her ancient magic, the amount of magic inside her had been growing every moment.

And ancient magic was extremely violent and difficult to control. As a result, Violette had constantly heard roars and whispers beside her ears, all coming from the ancient magic.

If Violette had not sealed herself away, then she would either have exploded like a nuclear bomb, or the wizarding world would have gained a bloodthirsty, unstoppable demon.

Faced with Violette, even Dumbledore probably would not have been able to deal with her, because ancient magic and modern magic were fundamentally different.

Ancient magic was similar to the powerful forbidden spells described in novels and legends. It was the sort of thing that could easily move mountains and overturn seas.

Harry did not let Violette leave his side. Instead, he created a continuously open Pocket dimension beside him and used the Undetectable Extension Charm to expand that Pocket dimension to the size of a manor, allowing Violette to live inside it.

At least for the next two or three years, Violette would not be able to leave his side. After all, although Violette had broken free, the magic inside her body was still far from calm, and Harry needed to look after her at all times.

One day later, inside the Room of Requirement.

Harry looked forward. More than a dozen young witches and wizards were sitting in front of him, staring at him eagerly.

"Ahem." Harry coughed once, drawing everyone's attention before continuing. "I'm sure all of you know why I gathered you here. Today, I have something important to announce.

"All of you are my Lenders, and you are all outstanding young witches and wizards as well. So I'm preparing to let you join the plan Dumbledore and I have been working on, and become one of us."

Hermione and Ron did not look shocked. Harry had already told them everything before.

But even they were still deeply shaken by what Harry was about to do, because although they had known Harry was mysterious, they had never imagined he was preparing to do something as enormous as reforming and replacing the current system.

As for the plan Harry mentioned, the other young witches and wizards still knew nothing about it. Fred asked curiously, "Harry, hurry up and tell us what this plan is. We're dying to know."

George also said anxiously, "Exactly, exactly. Stop keeping us in suspense."

Harry said gently, "Professor Dumbledore and I have decided to reform the entire wizarding world. The first step is to make wizards learn to accept and use Muggle technological equipment."

As soon as he finished speaking, a low uproar rose inside the Room of Requirement.

The pumpkin juice in Dean Thomas's hand nearly spilled, and he exchanged shocked looks with Seamus.

The young witches and wizards present were not fools. They were all smart people, and of course they understood how much bloodshed the word reform could contain.

As long as it was reform, it would inevitably affect certain people's interests and lead to irreconcilable conflict. And if technological equipment from the Muggle world were introduced, the Ministry of Magic and the pure-blood families would be the first to oppose it.

Pure-blood families generally looked down on Muggles as filthy Mudbloods, believing that everything related to Muggles bore the mark of crudeness and inferiority.

They believed the purity of wizarding blood stood above everything else, and they were absolutely unwilling to use the products of what they saw as an inferior Muggle civilization. To them, using technology was no different from lowering their own status.

As for the Ministry of Magic, it wanted to maintain the existing order. The introduction of Muggle technology could break that balance, and might even threaten the secrecy and magic-dominated authority of the wizarding world.

More importantly, the current mainstream leadership of the Ministry of Magic still consisted of a group of old fossils. They did not understand technology, nor were they willing to let technology spread through the wizarding world.

Therefore, the opposition of the Ministry of Magic and the pure-blood families was not only the result of bloodline prejudice and entrenched power, but also the instinctive resistance of a closed society against outside impact.

If they wanted to carry out reform, they would need not only immense power, but also a mature replacement system. Otherwise, the entire wizarding world would fall into chaos, and that would be far more destructive than Voldemort killing a hundred people.

It could even be said that if Harry and Dumbledore failed, then they would become Dark Lords more terrifying than Voldemort!

Fred clapped his hands, drawing everyone's eyes.

"I'm not trying to throw cold water on this, but do you really think it can work?

"Last week, Dad said Lucius Malfoy spoke out during a Ministry meeting. He said they should completely eliminate every technological creation related to Muggles.

"Now several old families are making noise along with him. That's an enormous amount of power.

"How many people do we have? Can we fight against that kind of force?"

George nodded and said, "Fred's right. Aside from strength, what happens to the new system after the current one is overthrown?

"Once Muggle things enter the wizarding world, they'll definitely have a huge impact. If it isn't handled properly, maybe the wizarding world will be exposed to the Muggles right away."

Hearing the twins' questions, Harry secretly laughed.

If you knew that even old Malfoy was one of my people, how shocked would you be?

But Harry would not reveal this card for the time being. After all, old Malfoy could still play a huge role.

For example, his demand this time to completely eliminate technological creations from the wizarding world had been secretly ordered by Harry.

Technological creations had remained difficult to ban in the wizarding world, and even some pure-blood families were secretly using them.

If someone really tried to completely eliminate technological creations from the wizarding world, the backlash would definitely produce many voices of opposition.

And what Harry wanted was to force those voices to choose a side, adding even more strength to his own faction.

Harry explained, "I think all of you know about ancient magic. Right now, we have already grasped the power of ancient magic. If the pure-blood families do not possess similar power, then we absolutely do not need to worry about military force.

"Other than that, Dumbledore and I have already confirmed the details of the new system. We will also restrict the use of technological creations to a certain degree, so at least within the next year or two, there's no need to worry about the wizarding world being exposed to the Muggles."

As for what happened after one or two years, that was not something Harry needed to worry about.

After all, his ultimate goal was still to allow Muggles and wizards to coexist peacefully and promote each other's development.

"Ancient magic!" Everyone else was stunned, their mouths hanging open for a long time.

Cho Chang covered her mouth, her eyes wide and round. Her father was an ancient texts researcher at the Ministry of Magic, and she had grown up hearing legends about ancient magic.

"My dad said ancient magic comes at a great cost, and that it's very powerful and especially easy to lose control of. Can you perfectly master ancient magic?"

Cedric also looked at Harry with concern.

Harry nodded and confirmed without hesitation, "Don't worry. Absolutely no problem. Right, let me show you someone."

"Who?" everyone asked in unison.

Harry suddenly raised his hand, palm facing upward.

Everyone saw a bright silver arc sweep across his fingertips, as if he had torn open an invisible crack.

"Come out," he said softly. Before his words had even fully faded, that halo of light suddenly began to ripple violently.

A hand wearing a plain white sleeve reached out from the pocket first. Then Violette's figure slowly emerged as if rising from water.

She was already dressed now, wearing Harry's robes. But even dressed in simple robes, Violette was still astonishingly beautiful.

Her long hair drifted down gently as her figure unfolded, and those eyes that had once been wrapped in silver magic now calmly swept across the dumbfounded crowd.

The air in the entire room seemed to freeze. Neville's Herbology textbook slipped from his hand again, and this time it rolled three times before stopping.

Cho Chang's breath suddenly caught. She instinctively took half a step back and bumped into the suit of armor behind her. The sound of clashing metal was especially sharp in the dead silence.

"What… kind of magic is that?" Cho Chang rubbed her eyes as if she were looking at an illusion. "Was this young lady in your pocket the whole time?"

"A Pocket dimension. I remember all of you can use it too," Harry explained.

"But your Pocket dimension can't contain living things, can it?"

"This is an advanced technique," Harry said with a faint smile.

Everyone fell silent. As the person lending magic to them, Harry had the highest authority to explain the magic he lent out.

At the same time, they all secretly resolved to practice the Pocket dimension spell even harder after this. If it could actually contain living things, then perhaps they could also create a private home they could carry with them, one that did not need any physical container at all.

While the other young witches and wizards were shocked by Harry's magic, only Hermione placed all her attention on Violette, who had suddenly appeared.

She clenched her fists and said to Harry somewhat unfriendly, "Harry, who is she? I remember those are your clothes she's wearing, right?"

Harry's expression did not change. He raised a hand to signal everyone to be quiet, and the noise in the Room of Requirement gradually faded as if pressed down by an invisible hand.

"Her name is Violette Black," Harry said, his voice lowering with a heaviness that seemed to pass through time itself. "She was a student of Gryffindor House one hundred years ago.

"She is also an inheritor of ancient magic. But because the ancient magic inside her was too powerful, she used ancient magic to seal herself away in order to avoid hurting others. She remained sealed until not long ago, when I rescued her."

"To avoid… hurting others? How pitiful!" Hermione murmured. She looked at Violette with admiration and pity, and the hostility in her eyes had long since vanished.

Luna had already taken a small bag of dried pumpkin from her pocket and stood on tiptoe to hand it to Violette.

"You're too pitiful, Violette. I think you need this. It's a modern candy. I hope you like it."

Although Violette had already eaten many kinds of modern food in the manor Harry created, she would not refuse the younger girl's kindness.

So she looked up at Luna gently and thanked her. "Thank you. I like it very much."

Just then, Cedric suddenly froze. When he had first heard the name Violette, he had felt it was strangely familiar. After connecting it with ancient magic and being sealed for a hundred years, he finally realized who this person was.

"Wait. You're Violette!"

The twins were a little surprised. Why was Cedric so shocked? They asked curiously, "What is it, Cedric? Is Violette famous?"

Cedric clicked his tongue in amazement and glanced at Violette with a trace of fear. Then he turned back and explained.

"More than famous. Violette is practically a legend."

"Ah, tell us the details!" the twins said excitedly.

Cedric glanced at Violette. After seeing her nod, he finally dared to tell them about her.

"I saw it in the records at home. She is simply a once-in-a-thousand-years legend of Hogwarts."

"What does that mean? Is she even more powerful than Headmaster Dumbledore?" George asked curiously.

"Of course!" Cedric nodded without hesitation. "She is a true master of ancient magic, not the superficial stuff we learn in class.

"Supposedly, she could mobilize magic from deep within the earth, and with a wave of her hand, she could kill ten trolls.

"When she was in fifth year, she broke into a dark wizard lair by herself. Those people who would seem vicious and terrifying to us were like they had been hit with the Full Body-Bind Curse in her hands. They couldn't fight back at all.

"Some people called her a born killer, but think about how much innocent blood those dark wizards had on their hands. She was protecting more people.

"What's even more admirable is that she also solved a huge problem involving the goblins.

"You know how difficult those goblin rulers can be. Not only did they occupy ancient magical mines, they were always thinking of harassing nearby villages too.

"Violette charged in alone and, without spending much effort, dealt with that arrogant ruler. Now the goblins are extremely well-behaved and no longer dare to come out and cause trouble whenever they please."

The younger students around them listened with their mouths hanging open. Seeing their expressions, Cedric added another sentence.

"Don't think these are exaggerations. Once you really understand her deeds, you'll know that what I've said is only the tip of the iceberg."

What Cedric said was too outrageous, so the young witches and wizards naturally could not believe it. They decided to ask Violette herself.

"Violette, did you really defeat the ruler of the goblins back then and kill a lot of dark wizards?"

Violette did not hide it. To her, these things did not count as much. They were just part of her daily life. Later on, she had done even more earthshaking things.

"That's right, more or less. But one part is wrong."

"What part?"

"The ruler of the goblins at the time, Ranrok, eventually turned into a magical dragon that possessed ancient magic. Dealing with him took me some effort."

The young witches and wizards were silent.

They were trembling with fear.
