Location: Granby, Colorado, USA (June 4, 2004). 🇺🇸
Story: Welder Marvin Heemeyer felt persecuted by Granby's town officials. After years of disputes over zoning, fines, and a new concrete plant that blocked access to his muffler shop, and after losing a lawsuit, Heemeyer secretly plotted an unprecedented revenge. Over months, he armored a Komatsu D355A bulldozer with steel and concrete, turning it into an impenetrable, camera-guided "killdozer." 😖
Twist: On June 4th, Heemeyer unleashed his homemade tank. For over two hours, he methodically rammed and crushed 13 buildings linked to his grievances, including the town hall, the concrete plant, and the former mayor's house. Despite hundreds of rounds fired by police, the machine was unstoppable. Heemeyer harmed no one, targeting only property. When the bulldozer finally got stuck, he took his own life. Heemeyer became a polarizing folk figure,a criminal to the law, a symbol of defiant revenge to others. His rampage left the town shattered and a legacy of debate about justice, bureaucracy, and one man's breaking point. 🚜
