Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Assignment

On Lord Voldemort's pale and handsome face, a seemingly gentle yet cruel smile hung at the corner of his lips: "It is said that he does not appear to have graduated from Hogwarts and lacks common knowledge of the British Wizarding World."

For an outsider wizard who didn't graduate from Hogwarts, their chances of getting him were much greater than that old bumblebee's.

Abraxas Malfoy slightly raised his eyes, looking at the news report Lord Voldemort had spread on the table.

The message was brief, only stating it was a black-haired Wizard, accompanied by a partner and two children.

Black hair... a "Prince"?

He recalled the potions family that was once brilliant, producing many geniuses, but had now closed its Manor due to a lack of heirs.

Those officials at the Ministry of Magic had always coveted the family's assets.

Could this suddenly appearing black-haired Wizard be the new heir of the Prince Family?

Lord Voldemort's pale, slender fingers tapped the table.

Although a smile still played on that man's lips, Abraxas Malfoy could feel an extremely strong oppressive force: "You know how important a Potions Master is in a war.

I need you to find him for me as soon as possible."

"Yes, my Lord.

No matter who he is, no matter where he is, I will bring him before you," Abraxas Malfoy replied respectfully, bending his waist even lower.

"Don't disappoint me."

Abraxas saw Lord Voldemort's eyes had turned completely crimson, as if they were two burning flames, releasing an intense bloodlust.

A sense of suffocation instantly enveloped him.

Lord Voldemort also felt the bloodlust within him begin to surge again.

With a thought, he used Apparition, instantly leaving Malfoy Manor.

Only then did Abraxas breathe a deep sigh of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted.

The exquisite shirt inside his wizard robe was already soaked with sweat under Lord Voldemort's uncontrollable pressure.

Lord Voldemort's eyes, constantly switching between black and red, lingered in his mind, making Abraxas deeply feel that they were standing at a turning point in history, and the development of events seemed to have exceeded everyone's expectations, uncontrollably sliding into an unknown abyss...

Thomas, who only wanted to study hard at Hogwarts, did not know that merely selling some of the potions made by Severus had already attracted the attention of many ambitious people in the Wizarding World.

Fortunately, they had sold those potions under Sherlock's identity and appearance.

As a pure Muggle, Thomas and the others were not present, so Sherlock couldn't go to Diagon Alley, which had not only a Confundo but also a Muggle-repelling charm, by himself.

Thomas put the 'Holy Unicorn Root' seeds into his robe pocket.

"Thomas! Severus!" a clear, energetic voice suddenly came from behind them.

All three turned around, only to see a familiar figure walking quickly towards them.

It was Nils Green, the boy they had met by chance on the train to Hogwarts.

He had become a Hufflepuff student.

Nils then realized he was too happy to see his friends and had completely ignored that their Dean was also there.

The boy's face flushed crimson, and he immediately bowed, saying, "Good morning, Dean!"

The rare combination of a Little Badger and a Little Snake made Professor Sprout's expression even softer: "Hurry and find your spots, we're about to start class."

Other students gradually entered.

This class was taken by both Slytherin and Hufflepuff houses.

Many students had come from the Great Hall, carrying an unmistakable smell of 'dungbombs' on them.

Professor Sprout sprayed an entire bottle of wormwood essence into the air, and only then was the smell suppressed.

At Professor Sprout's reminder, everyone put on the work clothes placed in a corner of the Greenhouse to prevent their robes from getting dirty.

After putting on the Greenhouse work clothes, the distinctions between the two houses were not so obvious, but if one looked closely, they could still distinguish the Slytherin students from their arrogant expressions.

Thomas and his two companions found a table and stood together: "Nils, congratulations, you got into Hufflepuff as you wished."

"The Hufflepuff students are all very friendly," Nils said happily.

He then carefully observed the expressions of his two wizard friends, seeing their radiant appearance, their house life shouldn't be too bad: "You too, Slytherin life seems pretty good?"

After hearing from his Hufflepuff classmates yesterday about how much Slytherin ostracized half-bloods, he worried for them all night!

"Don't worry, Slytherin isn't as scary as the rumors say," Thomas said, making a funny face, sensing the kind Hufflepuff's concern.

"Anyway, it's much more reliable than Gryffindor!" Severus said, full of resentment.

Next to him stood a Hufflepuff young wizard covered in the smell of 'dung'.

The golden-haired boy looked at the indifferent, frowning Severus beside him, his face already on the verge of tears.

He clung tightly to the other Little Badger next to him, afraid of accidentally touching the Slytherin boy and being 'silenced' by him.

Thomas found it amusing: "Severus, you can tell him directly."

He was clearly being kind, why always let people misunderstand him?

Severus took out the crystal vial from his robe pocket and sprayed twice at the Hufflepuff boy.

The boy saw Severus's action and didn't even dare to dodge, only squeezing out a tiny scream from his throat... but only halfway, the scream caught in his throat.

He sniffed the air in surprise, his cheeks couldn't help but blush, and his eyes were filled with gratitude and surprise: "Tha... thank you."

He found that the peculiar smell on him had completely disappeared, replaced by a pleasant fragrance that made one feel refreshed.

Was Slytherin actually this friendly?

It was different from what the upperclassmen and women had said.

"You're welcome," Severus replied indifferently on the surface, but Thomas knew he was also shy.

This class was about the cultivation of 'Dittany', the most common basic herb in the Wizarding World, and also a plant Thomas was most familiar with, reminding him of that happy summer in Hogsmeade Village...

Before the end of the class, they also received an empty flowerpot.

"This is your Herbology Class term assignment.

This term, you need to independently cultivate a plant."

Professor Sprout smiled: "Everyone can choose the type of plant they want to cultivate.

Once you've decided, come to the Greenhouse to get your seeds from me, the deadline is this month."

She raised her voice to warn: "But do not choose dangerous plants, and do not plant them privately, unless you want to get a zero in Herbology at the end of the term."

Severus glanced at Thomas, the teasing in his eyes clearly visible...

Thomas was very confident in his abilities.

He went directly to Professor Sprout and chose the rare moonflower seeds, precious but not dangerous.

Green, to Thomas's surprise, chose wolfsbane, which is the main ingredient for brewing Wolfsbane Potion, equally precious and difficult to cultivate.

Most of the wolfsbane on the market currently is wild...

Thomas's memory was triggered again, that's right!

It seemed Hogwarts had a Werewolf student, was it Severus's year?

"Professor Sprout, Severus also wants wolfsbane seeds!" he said, speaking before his younger brother.

Severus glanced at Thomas.

Although he didn't understand why Thomas suddenly made a decision for him, he still nodded obediently: "Yes, Professor."

"These are all challenging plants, work hard, children," Professor Sprout said, her eyes filled with anticipation and encouragement.

"Thank you, Professor."

All three received their seeds and walked back to Hogwarts Castle side by side, carrying their flowerpots.

"Snape!" Thomas and Severus stopped, looking towards the source of the voice...
