Chapter 19 - Continuously Getting Stronger!

"Chrollo is as outstanding as ever."

Father Lisores, standing backstage, was also watching Chrollo's brilliant performance, his face full of relief.

Whether it was his talent, his academics, or his infectious charisma and leadership, he always managed to capture everyone's attention.

As soon as he appeared, he became the center of attention, a figure that everyone was watching.

"A child like that has unlimited potential…"

Father Lisores observed the scene and whispered: "Chrollo will definitely accomplish great things in the future."

Well, these great things apply to all aspects of life.

Meanwhile, on stage, Chrollo was doing his best to keep things going, showing off his voice dubbing to buy time.

And in doing so, he also made the children in the audience realize that most of the male characters had been successfully voiced by him.

They couldn't help but applaud and cheer.

"It's finally fixed!"

Pakunoda and Sheila, sweating profusely, had finally managed to repair the tangled film reel.

Sarasa was also very excited: "I knew Chrollo could definitely do it!"

Chrollo's performance on stage, in particular, impressed many people, including her.

"His voice dubbing is outstanding."

Phinks, resting his chin on his hand, asked in surprise: "So Chrollo has this talent?!"

"Besides voice dubbing, this ability to control the situation is even more astonishing, isn't it?"

Feitan, standing nearby, said sullenly.

"It's hard not to focus on him."

Even Machi nodded slightly, offering this assessment.

If they could accumulate more experience, they would realize that this thing is called charisma.

"Anyway, I know for sure that Uvogin could never pull this off."

Nobunaga crossed his legs, watching the scene with great interest. "Whether it's the dubbing or the stage performance."

"If it were Uvogin, he'd just destroy the stage..."

Uvogin, sitting next to him, twitched his lips, but, unusually, he didn't utter a word of rebuttal or scold.

Just as Nobunaga had said, he truly couldn't do such a thing.

So, he wouldn't criticize Chrollo for his valiant performance on stage.

After all, Chrollo was doing all this on his own initiative for the children of Meteor City, so that they could watch cartoons.

Such a spirit alone, coupled with such a performance, was enough to make Uvogin feel a little admiration.

Of course, he wouldn't say such things out loud, but would simply change the subject.

"After all, it's just broken tape. If Luke had been the one doing all this, there wouldn't have been any accidents, right? Luke… Luke?!"

Uvogin and the others then noticed that Luke had quietly left without them noticing.

"Soon, the film will be back up and running again!"

Sarasa wiped the sweat from her head and happily followed her companions: "Luckily, everyone helped."

"No, it was mainly because of Chrollo who held the stage."

Sheila smiled gently and shook her head.

"And Father Lisores, for providing us with enough support."

Pakunoda added.

"Yes, thank you so much for providing us with this projection equipment and venue, Father Lisores… Father Lisores?!"

Just as Sarasa and the others were about to express their gratitude, they were shocked to discover that Father Lisores had quietly left without their knowledge, seemingly without them even noticing.

"Is he busy with something else?"

Confusion lingered on Sarasa's and the others' faces, but they quickly brushed it aside.

The show on the stage was about to resume, and Chrollo was leading the countdown.

And they needed to get ready for the next part of the show.

At the front, under Chrollo's lead, things bustled lively as the film was about to start again.

Meanwhile, in a quiet room within the church.

"I shouldn't be seen or disturbed here, right?"

Luke looked around, checking the environment. He had chosen this place deliberately.

It was a remote corner of the church, layered with dust, meaning almost no one came here.

Yet from the faintly glowing bulb at the doorway, it was clear that electricity still flowed here.

Luke searched briefly and found the power plug in the corner.

"Right here."

He immediately pulled out the power booster and pressed the connector and plug.

Beep!

Seeing the indicator light on the power booster illuminate, Luke knew the power was connected.

Without hesitation, he put the hood on his head and flipped the switch.

Zizi!

Instantly, a platinum-colored electric current began to surge and bloom through the machine.

Then, they transformed into streams of power, flooding into Luke's entire body.

"Hiss!"

As the surge hit him, Luke's scalp tingled sharply.

At the same time, his entire body felt a powerful stimulation and shock.

Yet it didn't feel unbearable, just slightly uncomfortable, something he could get used to.

Most importantly, under the stimulation and shock of this power, Luke truly felt his body growing stronger!

"My physical strength is constantly increasing!"

Even in Luke's current state, he could easily feel his body growing stronger at a visible rate!

Under the stimulation and shock of this platinum-colored electrical energy.

His entire body was undergoing corresponding enhancement.

And not only his body, but even the amount of aura within him was gradually increasing.

Although the increase in aura wasn't as dramatic as the physical enhancement.

But the steady growth still made Luke feel a great sense of joy.

"As expected of an invention from the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, praise the great village chief Slowy!"

Feeling his growing strength, Luke couldn't help but sincerely praise village chief Slowy for this masterpiece!

This is what a truly great inventor is like, what a remarkable sheep!

Luke's original strength, to put it in comparison, was like that of a beginner.

But with this power enhancing his body and increasing his aura, he was gradually developing into a fairly competent Nen user.

By competent, it roughly equates to the level of Gon and Killua, who trained in the Heavens Arena and were able to defeat Gido and Riehlvelt.

In other words, just this short period of enhancement was enough to match what Gon and Killua, two prodigies among tens of millions, had achieved in three months of training under a skilled teacher like Wing.

Gon and Killua began learning Nen on March 10th, and by June 4th, Gon was able to fight and defeat Gido.

Luke's current level of enhancement and strength is roughly the same as Gon's at that time.

"At the very least, among Nen users, I'm definitely stronger than those third-rate users who don't understand anything and just haphazardly train and develop their abilities…"

As the energy surge gradually subsided, Luke looked at his arm and the taut muscles.

"At least, I now have some ability to defend myself."

This kind of energy enhancement couldn't be done continuously.

Not only would it put too much strain on his body, but it was also important for Luke to familiarize himself with the changes and growth in his strength.

It would be best to do it again after a period of time.

This way, it would benefit his body and maximize the enhancement effect.

"After the movie is over, I'll go back and try out my new strength and see what changes have occurred…"

Luke thought to himself, then took off his hood and casually put the power booster away.

Just as he was about to leave…

The next second, his figure suddenly froze in place.

"Huh?!"

Luke's pupils shrank as he saw Father Lisores, the priest from the church, suddenly appear at the doorway.

"A Nen ability with spatial effects?"

Father Lisores spoke softly from the doorway: "And that device you had earlier…"

"Are you a Conjurer or Specialist?"

Father Lisores's tone was as gentle as ever, just like when he spoke to the devout children who came to the church.

Luke remained silent, subconsciously scanning his surroundings.

"You have chosen a good spot."

Father Lisores remained calm as he spoke: "This room is secluded, with only one door and no other exits."

"Of course, if you want to break through the wall to escape, that's fine too."

"But I don't think things will have to come to that…"

Father Lisores narrowed his eyes, his gaze similar to the one he had on Chrollo, and fixed it on Luke.

"I won't be your enemy; you don't need to be so wary and on guard."

Indeed, if Father Lisores had any ill intentions toward Luke, he would have attacked him when he was unaware.

However, this didn't rule out the possibility that Father Lisores had other schemes and plans… Luke's thoughts raced.

"He can openly say Nen ability, which means he knows of its existence."

"And he mentioned the Conjurer or Specialist type… Obviously, he has some knowledge of Nen."

"Well, of course, if he didn't, he wouldn't have been able to bring Renko from Kirimori Valley here…"

"After all, Father Lisores witnessed Renko's sewing abilities…"

As his thoughts raced, Luke considered various possibilities about Father Lisores.

For example, his connection to the Council of Elders, his relationship with the Kirimori Valley, and his own Nen abilities and strength…

But regardless of his thoughts, the key point was what Father Lisores had said: "I won't be your enemy; you don't need to be so wary and on guard."

He certainly didn't seem malicious; at least, Luke, who was sensitive to aura, didn't sense any malice or bloodlust from him.

With this in mind, Luke believed there was only one possibility: "Father Lisoresl must have another agenda with me..."

Luke's eyes narrowed slightly.

Either, like Chrollo's future ability Skill Hunter, he wanted to steal his Nen ability… Or, his goal lay with Luke himself…

"You know, I originally had high hopes for Chrollo."

Father Lisoresl looked at Luke and spoke with the same calmness.
